Luna
Your light illuminates the whole floor,
You are like a guest that passes through the corridor,
Haunting the walls and glass,
And watch leaden midnight hours that pass.
Your silver light catches the edges of the leaves,
While in the darkness, your beautiful spirit weaves.
Your light cast spells upon the shadows and the grass,
And it turns the typical garden into glass.
The black sky without you is deep and cold,
Every light from you turns the world into gold,
At night your light is borrowed from the sun,
The little fireflies' feast has begun.
I pull the heavy valance wide apart,
Moonlight finds the echoing spaces of the heart,
Where mysteries sleep and the hefty North Star abides
And unveil the things we usually hide.
Let the wan and ivory radiance stay,
And hold the restless din of moonlight at bay
To purify the world in glimmer deep,
While all the wistful city is asleep.
