Before you start just know that I don't like writing author notes, so if you find one in any chapter then you better read it cause it must be important.

Secondly, while reading this book you might have a lot of questions, you might not understand many things but that's because I am writing it that way. I can't just reveal everything right away. Even the main character's thoughts and intentions will be unclear. So please do not feel the need to point out just wait and continue. Everything will fall in place soon.

Third, I appreciate criticism that helps me make my book better. But I appreciate it privately. If you have something criticising to say then tell me privately. Pointing it out publicly will make it noticeable for everyone.

Fourth, I don't remember if I wrote it in other chapters but Ally's hood is long, red on the inside and black on the outside.

Hi I am Alice Phoenix and I am here to tell you my story. But before you start reading, I want you to read this important shit first. If you choose to ignore it then don't complain about lack of information and confusion. If you choose to ignore this and  come to me complaining then I suggest you hire the Avengers as your bodyguards.

Let's call it:

*Monroe City*

Anyways, let's start with the damned facility that caused this all.

The Intelligent, Cerebral and Effective Workers. Also called, The ICE Workers.

Started by the government of Monroe City and funded by the central bank. Almost every citizen wants to be a part of this stupid organisation.

Why? Because they are either just plain cruel or patriotic and want the betterment of country or they are just dumb and don't know anything about this place.

Mayor Rolland, the mastermind behind all this, made sure to keep all the dirty secrets safe.

Their aim is to enhance our abilities enough that we live up to their name. They say they want a better future for this city and for that they will need a better workforce. So they gathered the best teenagers and children to experiment on.

Their experiments are mentally and physically torturing. They have way too many rules for a normal person to bear and follow. Failures, rule breakers, disobeyers and everyone else like that is locked up.

Now the lock up is a different type of torture. This is where they either make you hallucinate and make your fears come to life, almost mentally killing you while doing so, or they force you to sit in a box two sizes smaller than you so that you suffocate and feel claustrophobic even if you aren't. Then there's this one where the tie you to a chair and make sure that a single drop of water falls on your forehead every two seconds.

There are many other ways of torture in the lock up, including the physical ones like whiplashing etc, but the former three are the ones I hate the most.

Other than this there are small rooms for us to stay in. Each room is dedicated to a single group. Anyone who is about to be experimented on is taken away from the room to the holding cell, a night before.

Now for the groups. Everyone is classified into a group of 5-6 different kind of people so that the work is more organised.

My group has five others including me. I come first because our names are put in alphabetical order.

In my group, I am the smart one.

A cute black boy, Zen, was the speed. He could run faster than the fastest person alive. Though not fast enough to challenge Barry Allen.

Then there was Carly. She was technically the brain too but in a different way. For a diffrent purpose. While I was smart-smart, Carly was technology smart. The girl hacked in the ICE Workers base on first try when they asked her to do it as a test. Carly and Zen were both really young. Maybe nineteen or twenty.

Moving on, third comes Jaxon. An Asian guy who could have been Chinese, or Japanese, or Korean. I don't know. All I know is he was a sniper and an assassin. He also had some ninja qualities as well. It was like, 'now you see him, now you don't'. He was so skilled that you could make him stand on top of Statue of liberty and he will still manage to shoot you in the head, in times square.

Okay I need to stop exaggerating. But you get my point.

Fourth is Britt. She is the brick. The she-hulk or whatever. She got the muscles and all. She used to be the underground's most famous female wrestler. They used this against her and "arrested" her for being a part of illegal activity.

And then lastly we have the controlling bitch, Rosalina. Don't mean it negatively by the way. Rosalina really does know how to play with people's mind and make them do what she wants. She also used to be a... umm.. a stripper let's say, so it does not really help men's case at all. When they took Rosa, she was just a young girl who used to pawn men in her trap and manipulate them into giving her some money. But now this girl is so good at what she does that she will ask you to shoot yourself and you will happily do it twice. I would call Rosa "mind controller" if we were super villains.

Because that's the thing. We are not supers with magical powers. We are just some extraordinary teenagers with enhanced abilities. That's what makes us different.

Moving on, each group has it's one unique quality. When we are classified in a group, we go in the one where, despite having our own specialities, we have some kind of quality that matches with the rest. There are the fighters, the brainiacs, the clever ones, the adapters and a few others.

Guess which one we fit in?

Yup. The fighters. As cliche as it sounds it's true.

Other than this you should also know that there are five facilities including the one we are in. Five places of tortures.

The first one has the best security and services. It's the main one a few blocks away from the Mayor's house. It's going to be the hardest challenge for us. And as you go down each level the security and services keep getting shittier.

As for me I am held captive in the fifth one.

But that's not the only one I am targeting on. Oh no, I plan on bringing down all five of these so that the hundreds of children suffering in these hellholes can go back to their normal lives.

And so that I get my revenge. Revenge for a lot of things and a few of my loved ones.
