Chapter Twenty
After my talk with Mom, I retired back to my room to process the new information.
Chaos, in my mind, the smartest villain of all time, was my uncle. I had to call and tell Ray about this. I reached for my phone.
My hand stopped as I remembered.
"I guess I'll just have to deal with this on my own," I muttered.
The thing with Ray made my chest tighten. Right there, in my room by self with my thoughts, I felt just so lonely. And I didn't like it. I wanted to do something about it.
I sat.
And sat.
The lonely feeling grew harsher and harsher inside of me as I sat on my bean bag chair. The bean bag chair that Ray usually sat in.
I don't know how long I sat there, but it was a long time.
Finally, I stood up, and opened my bedroom door. No one appeared to be in the house. I tip-toed through the house, afraid to make a sound in the silence.
I reached the computer room upstairs, and opened an incognito tab.
In the search bar, I typed,
"How to runaway."
