Fighting Gone Wrong
Everything continued as normal. Chara met Sans and he gave her puzzles, most of which failed as usual. She spared all the various monsters she came across and, soon, she was in Snowdin Town. She bought some food from the shop and slept in the Inn. She introduced herself to Asriel and read in the Librarby, even though she'd read the books so many times.
The truth was, she was postponing the fight with Sans. She was extremely nervous about it. But she knew she couldn't put it off any longer. She entered the fog.
Sans heard footsteps and snuck up behind Chara.
'Stop right there, human! Were you, perhaps trying to run away from the Magnificent Sans? I cannot allow you to do that! I am here to tell you about some complex feelings. Feelings like...the joy of finding another taco lover, the admiration of another's puzzles solving skills, the desire to have a cool, smart person think you are cool. These feelings...they are obviously what you are feeling right now! I can't even imagine what it must be like to feel like this. After all, I am sansational. I don't even need to wonder what having lots of friends is like. I'm sorry for you...lonely human... Worry not! You shall be lonely no longer! I, the Magnificent Sans, will be your... No... No, this can't be! How am I going to be your friend?! You are a human! My mission is to capture you! Then, I can achieve my lifelong dream! UNBEATABLE! FAMOUS! INFLUENTIAL! That's Sans! The newest member...of the Royal Guard!' Sans recited his speech.
Chara's soul appeared in front of her. She had the first move, as always.
ACT > Sans > Check
Sans – ATK 999999 DEF 999999
DETERMINED to capture you.
'MWEH HEH HEH!' Sans laughed as he sent his first attack.
Holy. Shit.
That's what went through Chara's mind as she attempted to dodge the bones and blasters coming at her. By the end of Sans's turn, she only had 2 HP left.
ACT > Sans > Flirt
'Hey, did you sit in a pile of sugar? Cause you've got a pretty sweet ass!' Chara said.
'What?! Fl-flirting?! Are you, perhaps, revealing your ultimate feelings?! Well, I am a skeleton with very high standards!' Sans said.
'I can make tacos,' Chara said.
'Oh no! You're meeting all my standards! L-let's date later, after I capture you!'
Sans sent more attacks. Chara stood no chance. She was taken down to 1 HP immediately.
'You're too weak! I was easily able to capture you! I will now send you to the Capture Zone! Or, as Papyrus calls it...our garage?' Sans said. 'You're in the doghouse now! MWEH HEH HEH!'
Sans's right eye socket glowed blue, like how Papyrus's left eye glowed orange when in his battle, and Chara's soul turned blue and she was lifted in the air.
'That's the first time I've used my telekinesis successfully! MWEH HEH HEH!' Sans laughed. He pulled her through the air to the 'Capture Zone' and put her inside. 'You'll be here until Alphys comes to collect you and take you to Queen Toriel.'
He left, leaving Chara alone.
It wasn't long until she was back, ready to have another try.
The result was the same. Back in the garage.
The third try was different. And I don't mean because this was the go where he was supposed to spare Chara after this, when she returned again.
It was in the middle of the battle, Chara had already used up all her healing items and had 8 HP.
'Give up now or face my special attack!' Sans yelled. He was just about to use his next attack, a ring of Gaster Blasters, when something changed.
Chara looked...slightly different. And she was dodging attacks that weren't coming from him. He looked around to see another weird him. This one was wearing similar clothes as Sans but with the colour scheme and edginess of the previous weird Sans he'd seen.
'Give up now, human! You'll end up dead either way! You do not stand a chance against the Magnificent and Terrible Sans!' the weird Sans yelled before sending a bone attack. Most went toward the weird Chara but one bone went astray.
It hit Sans in the face, knocking him back.
Sans had just yelled about using his special attack soon. Chara took her stance and got ready to dodge. But no attacks came. Sans had the same dazed expression he'd had back by the conveniently shaped plant. Suddenly, he fell back on the ground, as if hit by something.
'Sans!' Chara ran to his side and sat next to him. This is the moment she found out skeletons can get bruises, as Sans had a large one in the middle of his forehead.
'Uhh...everything's blurry...' Sans groaned.
'You might have a concussion. I'll take you home,' Chara said, lifting Sans up. She managed to drag him back to his house. She opened the door and led him on the couch. She pulled out her phone and called Papyrus.
'Sup, kid?' he answered.
'Papyrus, wherever you are, you have to come home. Something happened during my fight with Sans and he may have a concussion,' Chara explained.
Papyrus hung up and immediately teleported to the house. He knelt next to his brother and placed his hand on the bruise. A green glow surrounded his hand. After a few seconds, the glow faded and Papyrus removed his hand. The bruise was gone.
'You okay bro?' Papyrus asked as Sans sat up.
'I'm fine...' Sans said.
'What happened, Sans? I don't really understand what I saw. You just fell back as if someone had hit you and had a random, from-nowhere bruise,' Chara said, directing it at Sans but mostly saying it so Papyrus would know what had happened.
'"Someone had hit him," you say? Like punched? With a tough glove?' Papyrus asked, eyeing Chara suspiciously.
'No! No way,' Chara replied, honestly.
'I need some fresh air. Human, I shall grant you mercy. Thank you for bringing me back here. I'm just going to go for a walk,' Sans said, standing.
'Sans, don't you think we should head to see Undyne? You know healing isn't my strong point and you may still have a bit of a concussion,' Papyrus said.
'No, I'm fine. I just...need to clear my head,' Sans said.
'Don't forget! You owe me a date!' Chara called as he left the house and began walking through Snowdin.
Sans tried extremely hard to understand these visions. He quickly did a mental tally of how many he'd had so far. Six. He'd had six different visions. But why was he having them? Was he going crazy? No one else was having them so it had to be something to do with his own brain, right?
Sans was so caught up in his own thoughts that he didn't notice a glitchy portal appear behind him. He also didn't notice someone step out from it. He did notice, however, when a load of blue strings wrapped themselves around him.
'Aaaah! What's going on? Someone! Anyone! Help me!' he cried for help.
'B-b-but nOBodY c-came,' a glitched voice said as the stings pulled Sans back into the portal with the mysterious kidnapper.
