Pidge was walking through the halls. You know, what a normal person would do when they had free time on their hands. Then again, a normal person wouldn't be on a 10,000-year-old castle-ship as the paladin of the universe's most powerful weapon, which just happened to be five robotic lions that she and her friends piloted. Also, a normal person wouldn't be limping for no apparent reason.

For the past few days, Pidge had been experiencing swelling, numbness, tenderness, pain and unexplained limping in her left leg. Of course, no one really noticed because she spent most of her time in her lab. She had just brushed these things aside as nothing, but it had gotten to the point where she just had to know if there was something wrong.

When she reached her lab, she typed a few things on her keyboard, then stood back. The computer scanned her body, and Pidge could feel a tingling sensation wherever it touched. She waited five minutes while the computer processed the information, then looked at the body scan. When she saw the results, she froze.

"PALADINS! GET TO YOUR LIONS!" Allura's voice could be heard all throughout the castle. 

Pidge absentmindedly put on her armor and got into her lion. Green let out a low and comforting growl, almost as if she knew. Pidge just focused on destroying the cruiser in front of her.

When she reached the bridge after the battle, she noticed all the others were already standing around, discussing what had just happened. 

"WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT, PIDGE?!" Lance yelled. "YOU ALMOST GOT US KILLED!"

"Sorry," Pidge apologized, "I had a lot on my mind."

"And you put the entire mission in jeproady just to think about this?" Allura raised an eyebrow.

"Let Pidge explain," Shiro intercepted.

"Thanks Shiro," Pidge said. "So I've been feeling kinda weird lately, so I decided to do a body scan. I... um... I found a tumor in the bone in my upper left leg."

Everyone looked like they had just seen a ghost, except for the confused Alteans.

"What's a tumor?"

"You guys know what cells are, right?" Pidge asked.

"Of course. Cells make up all living things," Allura stated.

"Well, a tumor forms when cells reproduce too fast. They look sort of like lumps on the affected area."

"And how could this affect you?"

"She could die," Lance choked.
