Part Four
Gaster was nowhere, but everywhere.
He was dead, but alive.
He looked around nowhere, but everywhere.
In the place of where Gaster had once stood were two small skeletons.
Gaster tried desperately to reach out to them, trying to figure out what was going on.
Gaster saw everything and nothing happen at once.
The children died.
Then they grew old.
Then they were like Gaster.
Then they were mobsters.
Infinite timelines displayed thousands of things to Gaster.
He silently watched everything unfold.
He knew trying to move, or do anything for that matter, was pointless.
He had known this was a risk.
Gaster watched the children grow up.
He smiled weakly.
"Sans... Papyrus..." he whispered in a gravelly voice.
Thousands of things happened to them at once.
Gaster could not do anything though.
He could only sit back and watch as their worst nightmares and best dreams came true.
Gaster had a favorite timeline to watch.
One where humans and monsters were treated as equals.
Arial still lived, and was still married to Gaster.
A world where there was peace.
"I am sorry... Arial..." Gaster said in a low static voice.
He thought for a second that he could hear Arial.
Gaster shed a black tear.
Suddenly, hundreds more timelines were created.
Timelines with much darker conclusions.
Timelines with children with green sweaters with cream stripes.
Gaster hated to see those timelines.
What he would give...
To go back...
All the time alone has given Gaster time to think.
If he could go back, he would.
If he were given the option to have never touched Arial's soul, he' take it.
If he had the chance to have never have existed, he would've taken it.
Frankly, it was getting quite boring in there.
No jokes to be told... No puzzles to be solved.
Gaster looked at Sans and Papyrus across the timelines.
Sans had always looked at whatever angle Gaster had viewed it at.
Gaster sometimes liked to interfere with timelines.
Destroy them.
Rebuild them.
Destroy them again.
His hatred for humanity had yet to subside.
Gaster watched how a child named Chara went about things.
Despite only being around ten, she was able to kill people at an alarmingly fast rate, and was an amazing schemer.
Gaster watched the timelines.
Forever.
He never moved, but he was never still.
Gaster never existed, but he always has.
Only small pieces of him had made it into this Hell of watching timelines forever.
The rest...
Nyeh heh heh...
Well, I think that's enough SKULLking.
After all...
It's rude to talk about someone who's listening.
