I lied in bed, staring up at the ceiling, wondering what today had in store for me today. I hoped today wasn't that bad, but then when did I have a good day? As I looked at my alarm clock, it read 7:30 am. Ugh, biology started at 8:00, I was going to be late again. I slid out of bed and zombie walked toward my bathroom. The automatic lights turned on as soon as I walked in and my eyes instantly regretted it. Looking at myself in the mirror, my messed up black hair, tired looking black pupils, and my skinny frame. I quickly hopped in the shower and turned on the water, as I climbed in I watched the water run down my skin as if I was the rocks in a waterfall. As I climbed out I hurriedly dried myself off, I wrapped the towel around my waist and rummaged through my clothes drawers. As I pulled on my sweatpants, I grabbed a navy blue shirt and walked out my bedroom door.

Walking down the stairs, I was still pulling my shirt over my body. I met my mom in the kitchen and as an only child my, parents still treat me like a baby.

"Good morning sweetie, I made pancakes for breakfast! You better hurry and eat because your going to be late for your biology class. Remember, today is your walking day, it's Monday." My mom said as she gathered her purse and work vest.

I had totally forgotten that today was my walking day. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I walk to school, Tuesday's and Thursday's I walk to school. Now I was definitely going to be late for my biology class.

"It's okay mom, I'll run to school. I might miss a little bit of class though" I answer while putting three pancakes into a plastic baggie.

"I'm sorry I can't drive you. Are you sure your going to be okay?" My mom asked, sitting down to put her work shoes on.

"Yes mom I'll be fine, now go or you'll be late yourself." I said in annoyance of the babying.

"Okay love you sweetie, I'll see you at 6!" She yelled walking out the door.

As I walked back up the stairs to get my book bag, I heard her Mercedes pull out of the garage. I walked into my bathroom and started brushing my teeth. After I was finished, I picked up my book bag and slung it on my shoulder. I grabbed my breakfast, house key, and phone and walked out the front door, locking it behind me. I started walking to school, knowing that I would miss my whole biology class.

I walked in silence as I thought about random things. I kept my head down and stared at the ground, watching as the sidewalk cracks pass one by one. I pulled out my phone and as usual it had my earbuds plugged in already. I opened Spotify and shuffled my playlist, I popped my earbuds in and kept my head down as I entered school grounds. Before I put my phone away I checked the time, 8:50. Walking always took forever to get to school, I had missed my biology class. School was in free time from 8:55 to 9:15, then you had to be in home room. As I approached the schools front doors, they popped open before I could reach my hand out to open them.
