Luminosity
I don't like sunglasses;
I like the sun.
I like the world lit up so bright
it burns my eyes.
I like unfiltered light.
I like the city at night,
but when day breaks,
for my soul's sake,
I hate shades;
I hate lenses;
I love all the sky dispenses
in all the different tenses,
and as I rode that cable car
I saw the beauty of those stacked
pastel houses
lit up in all the sun's glory
and my heart beats to tell the story
of how my eyes screamed
in all the luminosity.
