Later that night, Otter had finally lay down beside Eclipse. She scowled inwardly and slightly scooted away. "Something wrong?" Otter meowed. She shrugged and kept her gaze where Riptide slept. The white she-cat nodded, and when Otter fell asleep, they snuck up the loft to find Ice and Swipe. "Eclipse? Riptide? Why are you two up here?" Ice meowed, his voice deep. "We're leaving the barn." Eclipse whispered. "And we wanted to tell you all goodbye." Swipe nodded from where she lay, and slowly woke her kits up. The black she-cat explained what was going on and Lava, Rocky, and Berry said goodbye to them. The sisters returned the goodbye then turned around. "We may never see you again." She sighed before they exited the barn.
They raced through the forest, coming to a stream beside Moorclan territory. "We need to hide our scents." Riptide meowed. They waded through the stream and got out on the other side. "Here's a den!" Eclipse exclaimed, pointing to a hidden den within the ferns. They crept into the den, finding a small pool of water, a tiny pile of prey, the floor lined with thick moss and feathers, and two tunnels leading off into smaller dens lined with the same material. "This is so perfect." Riptide meowed. "What are you two doing here?" A voice sounded behind them. The sisters whipped around, only to find a handsome brown tom with white patched legs and a tabby striped tail. He had sparkling green eyes and very short fur. "T-this is your den? Oh I'm so sorry! We were just looking for a place to stay for the night while we travel.." Eclipse mewed. The tom nodded, calling something down the tunnel. Not long after he did so, a tall white tom stepped out. He had long feathery fur and a short tail. His deep brown eyes completed the look. "I'm Grizzly and this is my brother Luis." The brown rogue meowed with a deep voice. Eclipse nodded, "I'm Eclipse and this is my sister Riptide." Luis' gaze landed on Riptide, "I love your name, where did it come from?" The white she-cat began to explain to Luis, so Grizzly guided Eclipse away. "You can stay in my tunnel for now, until we build you one." She nodded, laying down on the moss, Grizzly laying down beside her. The sounds of their siblings talking soon died away as she drifted to sleep.
