Q. Who/what introduced you to Wattpad?

A. Haha, I was looking for an editing software program and Wattpad showed up in the search results.

Q. How long have you been on Wattpad?

A. About a year and a half

Q.What/who is the inspiration behind your writing?

A. It depends on the story, but ultimately I think it was my grandfather. He always urged me to do more, be better, and keep trying. I've always loved to write, but it wasn't until more recently that I took it seriously.

Q.  If you could cowrite with any author, on or off of Wattpad, who would it be?

A. Oh, that's a difficult question. I like shocking people with unexpected twists, and I think I'd love to write a crazy romance/horror/action novel with James Patterson.

Q. If you could see any of your books be turned into a movie, which would it be?

A. Another difficult one, but I think I'd go with Anamnesis. It's not as popular as some of my other work, and it is in serious need of heavy editing, but I think it holds enough mystery to be a decent movie. If not that, maybe The Demolition Project.

Q. You have a lot of books, which do you feel puts forth the strongest message?

A. I try to put some underlying message in all of them, but I think The Demolition Project is the most message-filled, but goes well beyond the "don't judge a book" concept. After that, I think The Kiss Contest deals with the lingering effects the death of a loved one can have on someone.

Q. Favorite Author off Wattpad? Favorite author on?

A. Off Wattpad, Charles Dickens hands down. I'm also a HUGE fan of Grimm's Fairy Tales. More modern, I love Elizabeth Gilbert and I am currently obsessed with "Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance," by Ruth Emmie Lang. On Wattpad, the first book I ever read on here was "No Capes," by and it remains my favorite. I also love "I'm Not a Stalker," by , ""In 27Days," by HonorInTheRain, and "The Darling Boys," by you. So, I guess those are my favorite authors as well!

Q. Do you listen to music when you write? If so, what genre?

A.  Sometimes, especially if I need to get back into the "feel" of what I'm working on. Often my stories are inspired by a song I hear to begin with, so when I'm not feeling the story or the flow, I usually go back to where it started. I love everything, and I'll give just about anything a chance. That said, death metal and electronic/club dance music make me gag.

Q. Do you believe books are judged by their covers?

A. Of course they are, but it's unfortunate. Long, long ago, books didn't have the attention-grabbing covers they do now. I have hundreds of antique books that are literally a solid color. You had to take a chance and hope you picked up something good. Now, a lot of really great books are missed because they aren't super fancy. The same can be said of people, incidentally.

Q. And finally, do you have any questions for your fellow struggling authors out there

A.  I'm no one to give advice, really. I just write what I like, all the crazy things that pop into my head, and somehow it seems to resonate with people. However, if I had to give one bit of advice, it would be to not take yourself too seriously. People are way too hard on themselves, and that translates into being to hard and expecting too much from other people. Relax, and when you do a lot of other things (like 90K word novels) come a lot easier.

Can we give the amazing Mpadgett80 a round of applause? If you guys haven't already, be sure to check out her awesome books! I fell in love with them and I'm sure you all will too!

Until next time, bookworms!
