Let me just explain something calmly and maturely to you.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 'BRITISH' ACCENT!!!

Okay, so if you are from Britain you are British. That doesn't mean you have a 'British' accent!!!

You are either from:

• Scotland

• England

• Northern Ireland

So you have a SCOTTISH accent. You have an ENGLISH accent. You have an IRISH accent.

YOU DO NOT HAVE A FLIPPING BRITISH ACCENT!

"Well, Jessica, you say that but you're from Britain."

Yes. So do not do this with ANY OTHER COUNTRY.

If I were going to write a story in another country, I would look up the name of it's accent SPECIFICALLY.

Now, this is worst in 1D fan fics, mainly written by Americans.

Look, I don't want to be awful about this, WHY CAN'T YOU JUST GET IT RIGHT!!!

So, I read a fan fic recently (probably one of the last I'm ever going to read until they get better) and it was a really good story.

UNTIL they met 'the boys'.

'I finally saw them, and they all said hello to me in their heavy British accents.'

To start with, if there WAS such a thing as a British accent, their's isn't HEAVY.

Secondly, Niall's Irish - I'm not certain but I'm pretty sure he's from Southern Ireland, which means he's not even classed as British!!

And, just to piss me off to my limit, they finished it like this:
