Alpha Maaike POV

What is a True Alpha?
A True Alpha is the Alpha that thinks of his/ her pack before themselves. The ones that understand that without their pack they would have nothing. I was a kind, caring, loving, sincere Alpha. Taking care of not just myself and my upper ranks only.  Having the knowledge to fight, hunt, and care. Not let things become disastrous. I dont like them calling me Alpha it was Maaike. I am Patient, never quiting, Insatiable, Curious, Good teamwork, and a Sense of Urgency.

I understand that our survival depends on a successful "chase"  I do not practice panic response management that most Alphas sometimes demonstrate in a crisis. I actually develop a plan working together with the whole pack to insure that they capture and kill their prey/threat. They are extremely patient and understand that success is not guaranteed and that a success rate of 100% is not realistic. Every wolf within the pack has a specific role and are expected to live up to their responsibility.

Winston Churchill's famous words ---"Never, never, never, give up" comes to mind when thinking about how persistent I can be in accomplishing my objectives. I understand that if you fail to succeed on the first attempt you must keep trying. It is understood within the pack that the I never quit and it isn't over until I says it is over. That doesn't mean that the I am successful 100% of the time but it does mean I never quit trying.

Its a good philosophy to go by. If the prey/intruder is headed somewhere and we try to stop them, I look for another way. Making the pack climb over, under, and around obsticals. To keep looking for another way to succeed. My wolf always looks ahead, stays positive and does everything possible to succeed...

One of the most common characteristics of the most successful leaders today is the extreme sense of curiosity. The pack and I share this insatiable curiosity about the world around us. We investigate everything, taking nothing for granted. Seeking out opportunity.

Understanding the concept of teamwork extremely well. I work with the pack memebers during the chase to be successful. Each wolf has a role to play and all members respect their positions and follow the leadership given by me in almost all things, I am usually the one to make decisions for the pack when the group should go out to hunt or move from one place to another.

I had noticed that ravens circle in the air around sick deer or moose.  I know that the circling ravens help tell if prey is close by. This is a remarkable relationship because both animals benefit when we find food. The ravens eat the leftovers we leave!

Wolves have a unique sense of urgency. We depend on one another. Being very focused hard workers when it comes to feeding ourselves. Alphas being one of the packs most effective hunters and yet in spite of that I hunt to live. I do not live to hunt. Living by an unwritten code that says the good of the pack comes first.

Possessing these abilities of a True Alpha. I make suite that we are a nice and organized pack. This is a Alpha every pack wishes for. That is the Alpha I am. Doing everything in my power to make sure that it's not one on one but pack on pack.
