Andrea aka Hen is back here again!
Thank God we got Russia back to the present just in time for dinner! Now I know to never let him time travel like that again! So much responsibility, it's so stressful! But who on earth would wreak his stuff like that? I certainly didn't! But at least he's safe and back here at the base, and that's all that matters. We'll find out soon who did that mess!
During dinner, Poncho gave us an announcement of our upcoming major mission, which was the reason why it was mandatory for all of us to be at the dinner table.
"Do you know what time of year this is for the school?" Poncho asked us as he was cutting the meat on his plate.
Everyone went silent while mulling over for the answer; I though immediately knew.
"I know what it is!" I exclaimed.
The leader looked at me with a gleeful look. "And what is it?"
"It's the annual fall dance! ASB puts it on every year!" I'm part of ASB, so I know all the dances that come up during the school year.
Poncho nodded his head while looking down at his plate. "That's right!" He gazes back up at us. "And you guys are going to that dance to guard it!"
"Are we gonna have to guard every dance?" Katt questioned with a frown and furrowed eyebrows.
"Yes, we are. Better be safe than sorry," he answered.
She frowned as she slightly slumped into her seat.
I wanted to cheer her up, so I turned to her and nudged her shoulder. "C'mon, Katt, it'll be fun!"
Katt letted out a groaned. "I'll go, do I have a choice?" She straightened herself up and continued eating.
"Hen?" Poncho called out, grabbing my attention. "Would you mind telling us the details for this dance?"
"Oh yeah!" I dropped my utensils and looked at the team. "So this year's annual fall dance is going to be formal. So that means suits and ties for the guys and dresses and high heels for the girls."
Katt looked like as if she was being tortured in a boring lecture. I gazed down at her, wanting to figure out why she didn't seem too happy about this.
She darted her eyes at me. "Sorry, I don't like dresses."
I shrugged at her. "Well, can't really do anything about that. Sorry."
She nodded her head from side to side and resumed eating.
I turned back to look at mainly the guys who were on the other side of the table. "The dance is not tonight, not the next night, but the next next night; so it's three days from now. Any questions?"
Freshman raised his hand with an eager look.
"Oh, Freshman, you can talk-- This isn't school."
He put down his hand. "Well, do we have to have dates?"
"If you want to, but it's not necessary," I replied.
Freshman turned to Russia, who was quietly enjoying his meal. "Hey, Russia! Are you gonna bring in a date?"
Russia immediately froze in his eating. "Uh..."
"You know what a date is, right?" He gave him a concerned look.
The Russian began slowly straightening himself upward. "Uh, yeah... Someone you love who you hang out with."
"Yeah!" Freshman threw his hands into the air. "So are you gonna bring one?"
He shook his head slowly.
"No?" He made a disappointed look. "C'mon, I'll help you look for one!"
He shook his head some more with an uncertain look.
"I know a lot of cute girls you'll definitely like...!" Freshman sang-song as he took a gulp of his drink.
Guy talk, I thought to myself.
Russia turned to look at me, giving me a look that was saying, Help, get me out from this conversation! He then stood up and said, "I'll be back." He walked out of dining room and into the hallway.
I turned to Poncho, waiting for him to holler at the Russian to get back to the table since he didn't dismiss him. But he didn't--instead, he continued on eating.
"Aren't you--?" I started talking to him quietly.
He looked up at me with raised eyebrows.
"Aren't you...gonna tell him to come back here?" I finished.
"No, it's fine," Poncho answered calmly; he resumed eating.
I felt that there was something wrong with Russia, like as if he needed help. Should I go over to him and ask him if everything's okay...? I should, it's my job to make sure things are okay with everyone. "I need to go check on something important." I then stood up and walked into the hallway, all the way to the end of it.
I noticed that Russia's door was open, which was usually very unusual. I also saw that he was sitting on the edge of his bed with his back facing me.
"Hey, Russia," I called to him softly as I sauntered into his room.
He looked behind his shoulder to look at me. "Oh...hi..." His eyes showed that he was without a doubt struggling with something.
"Are you okay?" I rounded his bed and looked down at him. "Do you need any help?"
Russia turned away from me and stared at the ground; he letted out a groan. "I'm fine..." There was a beat of silence, then he broke it again with the truth. "Not I'm not." He placed his jaw in his hands with his elbows propped on his thighs. "I...I don't want a date for the dance...."
"Well, you don't have to!" I exclaimed. "It's optional!"
"No...I don't want a girl date..."
I made a bewildered look. "You don't want a girl date...?"
"I want Feliks...but he's in Russia..."
Okay, I was getting so confused. "Feliks?"
"My boyfriend," he told the ground.
I immediately felt like as if a huge boulder whacked me right-side up. Russia's gay?! I would've never guessed... "Oh, wow..." I then began feeling bad for him that he couldn't have the one he loves at the dance, since the dance was suppose to be romantic. "...I'm sorry, Russia." I dipped my head down, wanting for him to be happy, but not knowing how.
"It's okay... I think about him a lot... But I know I'll see him again... He's in my heart."
A smile automatically grew on my face. Awww...that's so cute! I could even feel myself blushing.
"But--" He looked up at me. "--tell Freshman not to talk about 'cute girls'." He gave me a disgusted look when he said 'cute girls.'
I gave him a thumbs up with a wink. "Gotcha. I'll back ya up, Russia."
He smiled back at me. "Good. And don't tell anyone else this...with what I just told you..."
I nodded my head, knowing that it wouldn't harm anyone if I did what Russia wanted me to do. "Okay."
"Thanks," he told me.
I felt satisfied that I was able to help out Russia just by merely listening to him. "No problem." I grinned at him. "Are you gonna eat dinner or...?"
"Yeah, I said I'd come back." He stood up and began walking toward the exit.
I followed him and we exited his room.
