Deeper

Imagine my complete surprise

the fullness of a life in Christ

Initially

I only gave token effort,

enough to feel half-sublime

But a deeper calling haunted me

an inner pang that wouldn't leave

I swatted at it – like an

    annoying bumblebee

But on it came – incessantly

Till now, if I will truly tell

the blessings that are manifest

When Christ is King, Christ is Lord,

Invited in my heart to dwell

The world and its trappings

disappear from view

in the Light of His loveliness

There is nothing in this world, absolutely nothing, that can compare with a deep, meaningful, personal relationship with the Creator of the world and Savior of my soul. #Jesus
