I was so shocked that my father was alive I just wish my mother was too.

It's been a few days and I got Daniels number because he's family. He was also keeping me updated with my father.

Kyle was a mess he was crying a lot and when it would ran he'd go outside and just sit in it. I didn't know what to do to help him I couldn't do what he could as a wendigo. He was fully wendigo and I was only half.

My phone rang and it was Daniel thank god. I lifted the phone to my ear as I looked at Kyle sitting in the rain.

"Hello?"

"Hey so um he's in a pissy mood right now because he thinks I'm lying about you. He said if you were still alive he'd be happy but he still wouldn't believe it was you."

"Why?"

"Because he thought you died."

"Daniel!" I jumped at the yelling of his name.

"H-hey bro." Daniel said and I listened close.

"Who are you talking to you said you were getting drinks."

"I was just talking to someone." He said and I felt like I was interrupting the conversation.

"Give me the phone."

"But-"

"Daniel give me the phone." I heard them switching and then waited.

"Who are you and why are you talking to my brother?"

"My name is Malikai and I'm talking to him because he's my uncle."

"Wow great job Daniel. Tricking some innocent girl into thinking she's my daughter." He laughed.

"Dad?" I was crying and falling to my knees.

"No you're a grill he tricked don't ever call me that again."

"I still have your book. The one Grey wrote. The one I took from you without asking and that's when you ran from your bed. You were sick in bed and lied to me because you said that cannibals forced you to eat human flesh. You read about wendigos. Your wife name was Ashlyn. I don't know how else I can prove I'm Malikai."

"How do you know that my brother doesn't even know that."

"Because I'm Mali. Your daughter. You said that if a boy can have it so can a beautiful girl. You told me that every time I was bullied for my name. You always made me smile. You were studying your own kind." I said and I heard him crying just like I was.

"H-how?" His voice was so shaking.

"Mom put me in the safe room and was killed in the fire. I sat with her in the rain for a while till Alfred found me. Once he found me he raised me and soon I met his son and I'm with him. I'm mated with him and I live with him." He started laughing in his cry.

"Alfred told me about that. I knew you two would be perfect because I met Kyle he's a demon sometimes and others he's just fun to be around." He explained.

"Malikai." I looked back at Kyle and smiled.

"It's my dad." I told him and he went to our room then came back pushing his wet hair back and sitting with his arm around me.

"Who are you talking to?" He asked.

"Kyle." I heard him smile and put my phone down putting it on speaker. "He can hear what you say now." I told him.

"So Kyle."

"Hey." He smiled.

"You mated with my daughter I hear."

"Look I didn't know you were alive myself. I just fell for her the first day we met and I'm sorry."

"Don't be because I'm happy you two are together. You two are perfect. With Malikai's strengths and weaknesses and yours you two are literally the perfect mates. Except for me and my wife but who's seeing the scores."

I laughed with my father and Kyle acted taken back making me laugh more.

"Um I'm winning in that sir because Um we are perfect in every way." He said.

"Oh my god you guys are gonna kill me." I laughed.

"Malikai don't die on us." They yelled in sync. I broke out in a fit of laughter.

"Stop it hurt it hurts." I laughed. Kyle starred tickling me. "No I'm ticklish!" I yelled and he made me laugh even more till I was laying on the floor still laughing.

He kissed me and I put my arms around his neck still kinda smiling.

"Uh you two alive over there."

"Yeah." I said as Kyle kissed my neck because I turned to look at the phone.

"Alright well I better be getting back to Alfred before he had a fit." He told us.

"Tell my dad I think he should cut back on the flesh!" Kyle yelled.

"Okay bye. I love you Malikai." I felt my heart pound.

"I love you too." I said and I heard him give Daniel his phone back.

"Well I'm happy you two talked." He said.

"Yeah." I replied and Kyle finally made me look at him.

"Don't ignore me." He growled. He kissed me and I was losing my sense to hear whatever Daniel was saying.

"Malikai?" I broke away.

"What?" I asked.

"I asked now do you believe me?"

"Yeah sorry I'm caught up with stuff while I'm talking to you."

"Oh sorry for interrupting you then."

"No no its fine."

"No it's not." Kyle growled.

"Just stop it for a second." I said and he rolled his eyes and sat up.

"Okay but I'm happy you two are good now."

"We are and he believes it's me right?" I asked.

"Yeah he broke out into tears."

"I did too."

"Aww." Daniel mocked.

"Okay well I should really get back to that stuff I have to do."

"Aww you can't talk to me anymore?" He asked.

"No I'm busy right now remember?" I said.

"Okay well I hope you finish." I looked at Kyle who had his arms crossed and was pouting.

"I will." I said and hung up then pulled him into a kiss.
