So at this point, I was completely lost.
I mean, what was I supposed to do?
I just found out I was pregnant, the entire bathroom was a mess, and just to make my life freaking perfect, I was starving.
I continued to stare at the pregnancy test in my hand.
“Why won’t you tell me how far along I am?” I yelled at the white stick before throwing it across the room.
I sighed, holding my head in my hands as I remained seated on the toilet.
I wasn’t ready for a child, I never thought about having children because it had never crossed my mind.
It’s not that I didn’t want to have a child, I did, but I wasn’t sure if here and now was the perfect time.
Now that I think about it, I wasn’t exactly mother material. I wasn’t one of those gentle women who just look adorable with their pregnant bellies.
I don’t think I could ever be, but it’s not like I would do anything to hurt my child. I just wasn’t ready.
“Aghh,” I yelled, pulling my hair.
Life sucks. Life is hard.
“I’m done,” I announced aloud, dragging myself around the massive bathroom, collecting the 4 pregnancy tests that were scattered around.
I was not in a good mood at all, kicking the towels in different directions as I made my way slowly down the stairs.
I was hungry.
Being that I was in a terrible mood, I set the fireplace on fire, and I closed all the blinds and curtains to create a dark, warm environment.
That was more like it.
I rummaged through the pantry once more, not finding anything. Somehow, I had found a lone hotdog, deep within the remains of the fridge, so I decided just to grill that over the fireplace.
I used one of the long kitchen utensils which looked like a 2 pronged fork, while I threw the 4 pieces of plastic into the fire as well, to heat my hotdog.
The bright orange flame suddenly turned more black, filing the air with the smell of burning plastic and sizzling hotdogs.
It wasn't all that bad, actually. Good thing the chimney let the smoke go through.
I’ve never had plastic smoked hotdogs, so it was a nice change. While the fire flickered, my hotdog sizzled.
I didn’t even need a bun as I let it cool down enough so I could bite it.
Just as my teeth sunk into the tender juicy piece of meat, there was a loud and rapid beating at the door.
I casually walked to it, savoring each bite of my roasted weenie.
Opening the door, I looked down at the young girl, panting and holding her stomach.
Her eyes quickly searched me,” Luna… are.... you…okay?”
She seemed worried, frantic, and completely nervous.
I just raised my eyebrows, taking another bite.
“Of course, why wouldn’t I be?”
She took a deep breath,” I saw some smoke, and the air smelled weird.”
I laughed, a little too hard. I wonder what she would think if I told her that I used pregnancy tests to make a fire for my hotdog.
She looked at me as if waiting for an explanation.
“Well,” I began, “as you can see, I needed a fire for my hotdog, but I accidentally used something that contained plastic. But all is well because my appetite was slightly satisfied.”
I waved around my hotdog for emphasis.
“Oh! I understand, Luna. If you’re hungry, we can go to the barbecue, it just started!”
At the mention of food, I finished my hotdog as I hurried upstairs to change my clothing to something more humane.
I just went along with a black t-shirt and some shorts. It was as casual as I was getting.
The girl waited for me patiently, tending to the fire as she had offered to do. She had successfully turned it off, and eliminated any scent of it.
“Thank you,” I told her, dragging her out of the house as she tried to clean other things up.
“My pleasure,” she said, almost cheerfully.
“So what’s your name, pumpkin?” I asked her as we walked towards the noise and barbecue scents.
“Oh, my name is Laurie, Luna. The Alpha had sent me to take care of you, and I wish I had come earlier…I didn’t mean to be late!”
I chuckled, patting her on her back, “I’m a big girl, I can take care of myself. But I enjoy your company.”
The day went by quickly as Wild had greeted me, introduced me to the pack that already knew me.
We ate, that’s mainly what I did, and we just talked. It was like a high school reunion.
I met back up with my old group of friends back at Night Academy, and overall, the barbecue thing went very well.
Will didn’t really notice a change in me, but he kept his arm around me at all times, keeping me close at bay.
Maybe he knew something was wrong.
I realized then, more than ever, that he wasn’t ready for this. We were young, almost still children. He wouldn’t exactly want to hear that he’s going to be a father….
I kept it to myself, and I learned to hide it from him very easily. Although he could feel something through our bond, I just blamed it on being tired from the trip and adjusting back to normal life.
He would just kiss me, and repeat how many times he loved me.
I loved him too much to bring up this sudden news. It would change his life, strip him of his freedom, limit his…. Well everything.
I planned on telling him before we got married.
Hopefully.

4 months later…
So I was able to keep the pregnancy a secret for 4 months because life was so steady. I had begun to show quite a bite, but I just told Will that I ate too much, and I wore loose clothing.
After all, we were getting married in less than a month.
Of course he didn’t care if I was ‘fat’, but he was worried because I avoided him too much.
I had been doing that lately, trying to hide from the world for some reason. Will would go away for a few days on urgent news, but he always had at least 4 people who stood guard around the house.
I just starred at my stomach in the mirror, looking at the bump that was forming way too low on my abdomen to be considered ‘fat’.
Will was gone for 3 days now, the longest he was ever gone, but he called me every hour or so.
Lately, I had been woken up from morning sickness, throwing up any contents in my stomach.
He was worried about me very much at this point, constantly calling.
I avoided him, and everyone else as much as possible, we didn’t make love anymore, and I wanted to sleep on my side of the bed, without his arms wrapped around me.
I missed him so much, the feeling that he was close but I wouldn’t touch him. I was scared now.
I had waited too long, and I was hiding it from him. I had realized that I had made a big mistake.
With this thought in mind, I couldn’t sleep this last three days, I barely ate, and I didn’t leave the house, at all.
My head was in the toilet, vomiting at every waking moment. That’s how Laurie found me, anyway.
She rushed beside me, trying to help ask vomited, but that only made it worse. I didn’t feel well, and I didn’t want anyone near me.
I heard her yelling in the distance, but I just pushed her away, feeling claustrophobic with this girl near me.
Before I knew it, three of the guards from outside were rushing in, trying to grab me for some reason.
I fought them off, growling as I protected my stomach. No one was going to touch my little Nick.
Before I was able to comprehend anything, I felt my consciousness slip as they all held me before I hit the ground.

Will’s POV
We were in the middle of devising the superior plan in order to swiftly attack the rouge army that seemed to be attacking the southern packs when my phone rang.
I checked the number, hoping Eva finally wished to speak with me, but it was an unfamiliar number.
I picked it up, quickly asking, “Yes?”
“Alpha, its Jake. Something happened to the Luna, so we rushed her to the pack doctor…” he wasn’t even done, but I was.
Without a single word, I threw the phone down and was on 4 legs running back to California.
I knew I shouldn’t have left her.

I arrived at the pack doctor’s headquarters within 4 hours, not being able to sense Eva, but Jake appearing suddenly had me very worried.
My eyes were black, and when he tried to hold me back, I pushed him into the wall.
“Where is she?” I asked, dangerously venomous.
He checked against my grip, but I didn’t let words drip out of his mouth.
“Alpha!” I heard the pack doctor, James, exclaim as he tried to free Jake from my grip.
I dropped him, facing James.
“Where. Is. My. Mate.” I muttered, refraining from strangling him.
“Alpha, she’s fine,” he assured me, “I’ll take you to her right away, but she is in perfect condition, considering her state. I’m not surprised you’re acting the way you are. Come with me.”
My nostrils flared, as I slightly relaxed, following him down the white corridors.
“What happened?” I asked, clenching my fists.
“She just blacked out momentarily, possibly from exhaustion and lack of nutrition from the last few days. I’m assuming that was how long you were gone, so it’s understandable in her current condition, so you have no need to fear,” he told me happily, standing in from of the room with Eva’s name.
“What do you mean, ‘in her current condition’?” I asked, irritated as if he treated like a mental patient.
“Oh, well, since you’re mate is about 5 months pregnant, lack of sleep and fatigue are completely normal, although I would recommend more frequent check-UPS,” he said excitedly, patting me on the arm as he walked away.
I was frozen.
My heart literally stopped beating until I completely ran out of oxygen.
So many thoughts went through my head like ‘maybe I’m at the wrong room’ or ‘maybe the doctor was confused’.
I didn’t know what to think. Pregnant. 5 months.
I slowly pushed the door open, my heart beating twice its speed.
I was dreaming, no doubt.
The sight of a small hospital room came in sight, then a pair of legs on the bed.
For a second, I was completely immobile, only robotically moving myself forward.
My eyes instantly checked her entire body, but remained planted on her belly. She was covered with a blanket, but the clot I got, the more my heartbeat rose.
What was I supposed to do?
I slowly extended my hand, inches away from touching her stomach. I didn’t know what to expect. I was just told that my mate was pregnant.
My palm slowly came into contact with a hard surface, but the more I felt around, the weirder it felt.
I ripped the blanket off her, slowly, throwing it on the ground as I starred at her black t shirt.
Falling to my knees, I closed my eyes as I put my hand underneath her shirt.
Millions of thoughts crossed my mind, but I just focused on how it felt, the feeling of a child beneath my hand, beneath her skin.
Our child.
I caressed her skin ever so gently, my eyes tearing.
We were going to have a child.
But something crossed my mind.
She was 5 months pregnant.
She wouldn’t talk to me. She kept eating. She wouldn’t leave the house. For fu*ks sake, she wouldn’t even let me touch her!
I looked her accusingly, only to see her wide eyes looking at me.
My eyes narrowed as I pulled my hand back.
“Were you ever planning on telling me? No, more importantly, why didn’t you tell me?” I said, as emotionless as possible. I would never yell at her.
I saw the tears rim her eyes, and I instantly regretted speaking to her like that.
“Will,” her angelic voice called my name, the tears flowing down the sides of her eyes.
I ran my hands through my hair, pulling as I paced back and forth. I didn’t want her to cry, ever. But what she did.
“Why,” I kept repeating to myself.
“I didn’t mean to…” she whispered, but that angered me. My anger swiftly took control of me as I punched through the wall, my entire arm getting stuck inside the metal.
I pulled it out, ignoring the slight tinge of pain. My frustration got the best of me.
I faced her, standing and wiping her tears as I looked into her eyes.
“Why would you do this to me, Eva? 5 months, Eva!” I pleaded, “I love you, but you don’t trust me enough to let me know that you’re having my child?”
“I love you, that’s why!” she yelled, pulling me down as she hugged me.
I hugged her back, though, I was completely heartbroken for a moment. Like she didn’t trust me.
“I couldn’t tell you, Will. I was too scared,’’ she whispered against my chest, “I couldn’t even tell myself. I’m not ready be a mother, Will. I can’t.”
I kissed her forehead, pulling her body into mine. I placed my hand on her belly, kissing her lips.
“Don’t ever be afraid, my love,” I told her, gazing into her eyes, “This is our child, and I couldn’t wish for a better mate to mother my child.”
I was happy that she didn’t try to harm are children, so I understood she was just scared to tell me
She smiled, slightly, just as I cleaned her eyes once more. She looked so fragile, clinging onto me.
“I was worried about you, baby. You should have told me,” I said, but stopped her before she could speak, “But I still love you the same. I will always be ready for you, for our child, and our future children.”
I kissed her again, this time, a deep and compassionate kiss.
“I want her name to be Sophie,” I announced, but she just giggled against my lips. My hand laid upon her stomach as her hand rested on top of mine.
“It’s a boy, silly. His name is going to be Nick.”
“It’s going to be a girl, love. I know.”
But it suddenly ended, just as James entered the room.
“Alright,” he looked up with a big smile on his face, “so here is the ultrasound pictures we took earlier while our Luna slept.”
He headed us the photographs.
“Congratulations, you’re having twins!” he announced, clapping his hands.
I looked at pictures. Two little children, side by side.
“Our children,” I muttered happily, kissing Eva’s forehead as she clutched the pictures.
