Chapter 40: Part Two

***HI:) HOLA:) BONJOUR:) some things I would like to say......
Thanks soooo much for all your support:) it means the world to me even though I'm actually planning to be a doctor but it just boosts my confidence 8)

The next chapter will be book two, Night of Wolves, but it's not a separate book and I will upload normally. No long wait, hopefully:)

I realized that I need to edit big time, add details but if you guys get the way I write, as in not staying on boring subjects, that's why it moves so quickly.

I sorta hoped that the whole 'full moon increasing everything' helped understand why they just went BAM!
Haha:)

This is not a huge chapter like the last one because I wasn't planning on it being two parts and will go by real quick:)

So this is Plot A:) you picked it so you must endure:)

Enjoy:)

PART TWO

I'm not sure why my eyes suddenly fluttered open, leaving my dream far behind.

Why?!?

That was probably the best dream I had ever had in.....forever!

Will and I were running through a meadow with fish nets, trying to catch the stupid flying squirrels being chased by geese. I seemed to have been watching from afar because the place was bright and full of life but something was missing.

We kept smiling at each other, butterflies eating ladybugs in the back round, but the smiles seemed fake.

The whole scene was missing something. It had no emotion at all.

Normally the hundreds of flowers and bright sunlight with a baby blue sky gave off a feeling of happiness and safety. But this didn't.

It looked so nice and I wanted it to be real but it was wrong.

My life wasn't meant to be in a field with squirrels and geese.

I wasn't meant for that.

............

I sighed, rubbing my hand on my face.

As I pulled my hand to me, I felt it run over a bare chest, tingles erupting from my hand to my spine.

My eyes slowly followed the nicely built chest, the toned abs, the nice strong pecks, only to come face to face with an angel.

His eyes were shut, a light snore coming from his nose.

I had lifted my head and was starring wide-eyed at him.

My angel.

My faith.

My Will.

I couldn't stop the goofy grin that spread on my face as I took in how his body was tangled with mine, the way his arm had a gentle yet firm grip on my waist, the way his face seemed attracted to my hair.

Slowly, pushing myself up so I wouldn't disturb him, the start of the sun coming up with little light shining in.

I had a headache, nothing big but a minor pain in the back of my head.

Running a hand through my hair as I bit my lip, remembering last night.

It was perfect.

I hadn't expected everything to be so amazing, but was more expecting to have an attack and would ruin the whole moment.

Looking at Will's face once more, I noticed something on his left bicep.

His mark, that normally looked more together, had spread out more, covering half his arm, and I noticed how some of the normally sharp edges had smoothed out, turning more curvy like mine.

My eyes quickly went to my right side, looking a my once overly curvy mark had gained some edge, the lines had become darker, and it seemed more vibrant.

He had bite me on the neck, but it had disapeared like it should, and only our marks that had red outline explained that we were mated.

I shook my head.

I think I'm going crazy.

No! I'm defiantly going crazy!

Just as my eyes wandered back to Will's sleeping face, I couldn't help but soften.

He looked so vulnerable.

So unprotected.

Before I knew it, the back of my hand was brushing his cheek.

The small stubbles brushing against my hand.

I couldn't help but think that, he is too good for me.

He deserves someone better.......someone who's not me.

My face went blank.

Oh hell! What is wrong with me?

For once in my life I found what makes me happy, and I'm not going to let go. I'll even dig my claws in just to never let go.

They say 'if you love something, you have to let it go.'

But if you let it go, then you'll live in regret for ever thinking the damn thought!

I smirked.

I was right, they were wrong.

I remember when I had promised myself, when I was still young, that if I found that one thing that made me happy, I would never let go even if it meant killing myself in the process.

I had a pretty messed up past, and for once I was relieved that one good thing came out of it.

Will.

I would endure that hell over and over again just to meet him ever single time.

For a second I just stopped.

Was I seriously thinking all this?

Just as I was climbing out of the bed, another wave of nausea hit me.

What the hell?

My headache worsened and for once I knew what it was.

Someone was trying to get in my head, but since my mind was always blocked they couldn't.

Slowly my mind started to open up.

So this person trying to get in my head woke me up.

Oh they're gonna get it.....

-What is it......I began but was cut off.

-Eva! Eva! Please! You have to help me! Janes' terrified voice came into my head.

I was immediately on alert, the alpha in me dominating, as I grabbed Will's shirt and boxers, holding them together.

-Where are you at?

-I'm in the field, she cried, the terror in her voice increasing.

-Okay, I'll be right there.

I looked at Will, confused on whether I should wake him.

I probably shouldn't because this is Jane we're talking about, the girl who's always joking.

She's probably just freaked out about a dead bird.

Before I left, I scribbled a note that I found in the nightstand.

'Jane was freaking out. Went to see her in the field, Love Eva'

I rolled my eyes at how girly and cursive my handwriting looked, but put it on the nightstand, giving Will a peck on the cheek before I left.

My faced cleared of emotion as I pushed the door open and bolted for the forest, shifting in midair as I jumped over the small stream, Will's cloths in my mouth.

I was running about 28mph when I burst out of the forest, catching Jane's scent right away.

Before I knew what I was doing, I had shifted behind a tree and was wearing Wills' cloths in an instant.

My guard was up, and I think I was going to drop dead.

Hundreds of scents filled my nose as I spotted Jane, running to her.

They were all rouges!

Holy crap!

We must be under an attack!

"Jane! What's going on?" I questioned, running to her.

She was on her knees, tears streaming down her cheeks as my gaze lowered.

The smell of blood came quickly, my senses and emotions exploding.

Laying in front of her was Lance, his eyes shut and a large hole in the middle of his chest.

Without thinking, I dropped to my knees, my hands shaking him.

He had to wake up.

I quickly checked his pulse, making sure to hear his heartbeat.

My heart was like a race horse, beating like no tomorrow.

I couldn't concentrate, all I wanted to do was make the hundreds of things wrong with me go away.

"He's breathing, he'll live," I whispered, my jaw clenching.

Jane breathed out a sigh, her cry still going.

It took something special to kill us werewolves.

"Jane. He'll be alright. I promise," I told her, looking down at Lance's bloody face.

I was making a promise even I didn't know I could keep.

-Eva! Will's voice came into my head as I kept starring down at Lance, wondering what I would feel if it was Will.

I would literally die on the spot.

-I love you, Will. So much, you can't even begin to understand, I told him truthfully.

Just then, Jane's unconscious body fell on top of Lance's, making me look up.

-Why does that sound like a goodbye? Eva, please I love you so much that I can't loose you. Not now, not ever! His voice growled.

My gaze slowly went up to meet the one person I didn't expect.

My eyes were glazed over with tears as I realized that what I had just told Will was actually a goodbye.

A goodbye that I didn't even know was one, but at least I had told him that.

Standing in front of me was the last person I would have guessed to be holding a weapon.

"Sorry, Eva. Your time is up," Carol said, smirking.

She didn't even give me a minute to ask her why she was doing this, but she just smiled.

Then the sound of a gunshot was heard and the bullet went straight into my forehead.

My world faded.

This was it.
