It was a peaceful morning in Jump City; some people were exercising, others were opening their businesses and our heroes were still sleeping for at least two more hours. Until a horrible alarm started to sound around the halls and rooms of Titan Tower, that woke our heroes and got them dress up in less than a minute. Soon they were in the living room with Cyborg investigating what was the cause for the alarm and then a groggy and grumpy Danny walks through the sliding doors. He starts to shout questions at the others and for them to turn it off; Robin was the one to turn it off in order to hear what his little brother wanted.

- Thank you!- shouted Danny while uncovering his oversensitive ears which were bleeding

- Daniel, sit down; Raven, hand me the First Aid kit!- yelled Robin and basically jumped next to Danny

- Here, let me do it.- said Raven with calm and started working

- You guys need to chill! I'm fine, but I want to know what the hell was that?- said Danny in a loud voice (not shouting), his ears had already healed

- That was the doorbell.- said Cyborg

- Didn't you fix that already?- asked Robin

- Yes, I did!- answer Cyborg looking angrily at Beast Boy- Unless someone changed it, again!

- I'm sorry, I didn't think anyone would get hurt and we don't even get visits! This one is the first in months!- said Beast Boy trying to defend himself

- Enough, I'm fine and that's what matters. So, who's at the door?- said Danny after getting clean up by Raven, who he thanked for the help

- I'll put the camera of the front door and presto!- said Cyborg

Truth to his words in the big screen appeared the footage of the camera and Danny couldn't believe who was at the door. It was too early for Danny to be awake and it was definitely way too early to see his face, even if they were in a truce. Danny politely asked if he could speak with him through the cameras and Cyborg pushed a few buttons and gave him the okay sign.

- Vlad, why the HELL are you visiting us at FIVE in the morning?- said Danny while shouting at some parts to get his point across

- Little badger, I'm here to help you set up the Portal and to bring you a better version of the Specter Speeder. Besides, Daniel, the early bird gets the worm!- answer Vlad not been affected by Danny's tone of voice at all; after all he knew for a fact that Danny gains a bad temper when woken up by anything other than his own free will

- Fine, but don't expect me to do anything unless I get another hour of sleep!- said Danny while glaring at Vlad, it was just too early for him

- How about this? You get another hour of sleep and I will cook your favorite breakfast.- said Vlad in quite the cheerful voice

- ...- Danny was quiet for a moment and then asked- chocolate chip pancakes?

- Of course, Daniel!-

With that said Danny told the others to let him in and that he would return to bed. The others hesitated for a moment, but Robin knew that the man was under a truce with Danny so he agreed. During that hour, Cyborg learns how to drive the Specter Speeder and left it on the roof and Vlad made breakfast for everyone. Just as he was serving the last pancake, a horrible scream was heard. It only took a second for everyone to start heading towards Danny's room, Robin was the first one to open the door and start shaking Danny awake.

- Danny, come on little brother!- said Robin, but Danny wouldn't wake up

- Nooo, mmn, stop. Pleaseee, leave. NOOOOOOOO!- whispered Danny and then finish with a scream before waking up

Danny sat up hyperventilating and had tears running down his face. When Robin tried to hug him, at first, he scurried away but when he realize who was approaching him, then he basically jumped to his open arms.

- Danny, can you tell me what's wrong?- asked Robin in a calm voice, but only receive a shake of Danny's head

Danny continues whimpering while trying to calm down; he was mad that the nightmare made him so weak. Because he had grown accustomed to the nightmares about HIM and the Nasty Burger, but, this time, the ones that were attached to the Nasty Sauce weren't the Fenton's, Team Phantom and his teacher, this time, it was his brother, his brother's team and Vlad. He wasn't prepared for that change and he found it ridiculous that it affected him so much when he knew that it was impossible for HIM to return. He was able to calm himself enough to talk.

- I know I made you all worry, but I will not talk about my nightmare with anyone. Now, I will go into the bathroom and meet you back at the living room for breakfast.- with that said, Danny got up, grabbed one of his duffle bags and went into the bathroom

Everyone went out of the room and when they were far enough, Robin attacked Vlad by pushing him into the wall.

- What do you know?-

- There is no reason for me to answer your question.- said Vlad after chuckling

- I care about Danny and so do you!- said Robin in a voice that left no room for argument

- ...very well, but, unfortunately, I do not know much. The nightmares are about a "him" that tries to harm Daniel's loved ones and that in some way Daniel is responsible for his creation or existence. That is all I know, but I could say that whoever this man is, he most be strong and truly evil for Daniel to be scared to the point of having horrible nightmares for an entire week.- said Vlad in a true concern tone

- Alright, I will investigate and find the truth.- said Robin while letting go of Vlad

- I would recommend you two things; one, do not investigate behind Daniel's back it will only make you lose his trust, and second, Daniel is not as weak or defenseless as you see him. Now, I will wait for him in the living room.- with that Vlad started to walk away

Eventually, they all walked towards the living room in silence and after fifteen minutes Danny arrived in a better mood, which only got better after eating his favorite pancakes. Seeing him happy lifted everyone else moods and in no time, they were in Danny's new lab. Danny went to his room to retrieve the Portal's core and then return to the lab. During the entire process Vlad was to give the instructions to everyone, so he told Raven to make a barrier between their and Danny's side when the Portal started to react, then he quickly explained to Danny what he had to do and soon after everything started to roll.

The Portal was already connected to electricity so Danny went close to its entrance and offered the core; the Portal reacted by wrapping some of its cables to the small metal sphere and then closing its door. At that moment, Raven made the barrier and receive a shout from Robin to make it disappear. Meanwhile, Danny went through the process of configuring the Portal and he was on the last step, reconnecting himself, the Portal and this world. Vlad had warned him that it would hurt but not to stop; so with an intake of breath he push the button, the pain was immediate. A needle came out of the button and injected itself in Danny's hand; extracting blood and then conducting electricity into Danny, who was biting his lips to stay quiet but it didn't hurt enough to make him scream. On the other side of the barrier, we had all of the Titans trying to break Raven's barrier but it was in vain. Vlad was calmly waiting for it to end because he knew that Danny would be weak for a few hours; Raven was mad that she allowed for this to happen but she knew how dangerous and unstable an unfinished Portal could become so she kept the barrier strong. Soon enough, the Portal had finished and the needle retracted, leaving a weak Danny to almost hit the floor but Raven had dispersed the barrier and Vlad had basically run to Danny's side.

- You did well, little badger, but I need you to stay conscious while I give you some nutrients that the Portal took.- explain Vlad while he started to work

- It wasn't that bad, I have taken worst.- said Danny in a weak voice, but showing that he could easily stay awake

- Yes, I know Daniel.-

There was silence, as the team looked at Danny with a disbelieving stare and then Robin was the first to explode.

- What do you mean with that?-

- Oops!-

- Daniel, if you plan on taking them into the Ghost Zone you most tell them now.- said Vlad while injecting the last of the nutrients

- You know, I liked you more when you weren't so nice!- said Danny and receive a glare from Vlad, that made him laugh and then he started to talk to the others

- Alright, I will tell you everything since I kind of promise that there wouldn't be more secrets.- said Danny while looking at Robin who gave a small nod of approval- so everything started with...

Danny told them about the accident with the Portal, how he was fine but the town started to have ghost attacks and he soon understood what had happened to him after the accident.

- ...what the Portal did to me was...it changed me. The truth is that I'm no longer normal...I'm...- Danny tried to continue but it was hard, so with a small smile he said- I'm a Halfa, a half-human, half-ghost hybrid!- with that said he stood up on shaky legs and summoned the rings

- What, but that's Phantom!- shouted Beast Boy

- Yeah, that's the name for my ghost form.- explain Danny feeling a bit embarrass with all the attention

- How was it that you were in the tower as Danny and in the field as Phantom?- asked Raven

- It's one of my powers, duplication, I basically make another me which I order to transform into Phantom.-

- Dude, but he acted completely different that how you act!- exclaim Beast Boy

- That's because I have grown accustomed to making us completely different so no one can figure out that is just one person.-

Just like that they all continue to ask questions and Danny would answer them, they asked about his powers, the fights, the others ghost and after two hours they were done. Danny was glad that they could finally go into the Portal; he couldn't wait to find out who were his new neighbors.
