The tape that flattens chest,
The ribs that stick out of my chest,
My head that aches with the same pain as my chest,
My anxious fears I stash them on top of my unrest,
My heart that keeps trying so hard to satisfy, kicking myself to get us both some clarity,
An' my smiles you know I hide them in the dark corner inside that chest,
Please just let me unlock my chest and let myself rest,
Scared of a falsely trusted purge against the aching chest's unrest,
Having learned, I know so much of my chest had been left in quite the unrest,
Pretending, I know enough to protect what's left of a empty flat chest,
And I'm praying to God that in some small thing of an essence,
Would somehow,
Ease my racing thoughts,
Appease the simple aches,
An' set my heart to peacefully rest as you sort through the rubble and unrest,
Because all I keep wishing for stuck inside my chest,
Is a simple presence to settle my headspace into rest inside the chests current unrest,
It's hard living inside the feelings clogged inside my chest.
