I do not own Legend Of Korra or The Last Airbender, all credit goes to the people who made the two happen. I only own Kanna and the things I happen to make up along the way. Most of the script comes from the person who created it. Descriptions come from the show I've watched and the things I've read.

Inside the pro-bending gym of the arena where a large ball flies through the air, Korra catches it. Kanna is standing beside Mako, an annoyed look on her face as she glares hatefully at everyone.
"What's the big idea with making me train this early in the morning? The morning is evil." Korra said and throws the ball to Bolin.
"We're the rookies,so we get the worst time slot in the gym." Bolin says and throws the ball to Mako.
"And you're the rookiest of us all. We gotta get you up to speed if we wanna survive in the tournament. Deal with it." Mako throws the ball to Korra before looking at Kanna. "Are you okay?" He asks.
"I didn't have any coffee today. I am miserable and I will kill you all today if someone doesn't let me CHUCK THIS BALL AT THEIR FACE!" Kanna screams. The three other people in the room gaze at her with horror written on their faces. Korra throws the ball at her. Kanna aggressively chucks the ball to Mako. The ball hits him hard in the stomach, flinging him backward in a flip, and causing him to land hard on his back. He groans in pain. Korra is dying of laughter. Bolin's eyes widen. "I feel a lot better now." Kanna says while cracking her neck. Suddenly, someone walks into the training room. The man stares at Mako for a moment. Kanna narrows her eyes.
"There are my little hard-working street urchins. It's an honor to finally meet you, Avatar." The man says and places his hand on Korra's shoulder. Kanna lets out a small growl before walking over and removing his hand.
"Don't touch her." Kanna dryly orders.
"You must be the Protector." The man says.
"And you are?" Korra inquires. Kanna cocks an eyebrow when he takes his hat off. She turns and exchanges looks with the brothers.
"Butakha. I run this whole pro-bending shebang." Korra walks away causing Kanna to snicker. Buthakha takes a wad of cash out of his inner pocket and places it into the outstretched hand of an eager Mako. Korra whispers about how it's strange seeing him not frown or look angry to Kanna. Kanna is covering her mouth to stop from laughing. "Here's your winnings from the last match. Ah ah ah, not so fast. First, you owe me for the Avatar's new gear, gym and equipment rentals from last month, rent on your apartment, and a personal loan for groceries." Buthakha takes away the money until Mako's hand is empty. Mako stares at his hand before spinning to glare accusingly at Bolin. He brought Pabu with him today and Kanna is currently playing with the fire ferret. Bolin opens his arms wide and attempts to look innocent.
"What? I'm a growing boy!" He said.
"Oh, and one more small item of business: The Fire Ferrets need to ante up thirty thousand yuans for the championship pot." Buthakha informs them. Kanna gasps.
"Thirty thousand yuans?!" Bolin shouts.
"Sorry, kids. You got 'til the end of the week to come up with the dough, or else, you're out of the tournament." Bolin feebly reaches after Butakha as he walks away. Korra and Kanna walk over to them. Kanna places a hand on both the brothers' backs to comfort them.
"You wouldn't happen to have a secret Avatar or secret Protector bank account overflowing with gold, would you?" Bolin questions. In response, Korra shows her empty pockets. Kanna searches her clothes until she discovers ten yuans and hands them over.
"That's all I have on me." Kanna informs them.
"I got nothing. I've never really needed money. I've always had people taking care of me." Korra said with a smile on her face.
"Then I wouldn't say you have nothing." Mako hisses while putting the ball away in a bag. Kanna frowns softly. She makes a moment to take a step towards him, but he immediately steps away. She stops, hurt gripping at her heart.
"Sorry, I didn't mean-" Korra begins to say.
"No, it's all right. It's just ever since we lost our parents, we've been on our own." Bolin says.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't know." Korra says.
"So, anyway, how are we gonna come up with the money?" Mako asks as he zips the bag up and throws it over his shoulder.
"Oh, oh, I got it! I got it! I've been training Pabu to do circus tricks. Now people would pay good money to see that!" Bolin announces excitedly and holds Pabu up. Kanna's eyes light up at the fact that Pabu could do tricks. Bolin's and Kanna's excitement dies when Mako and Korra both give them, 'you can not be serious' look.
"Come on, Bolin, need serious ideas." Mako growls.
"I was serious." Bolin mumbles.
"Don't worry about it. I'll figure something out. I always do." Mako tells them before walking out of the training room leaving three people watching his figure.
•••
"Where are you going?" Tenzin inquires when he sees his cousin change into what seems to be working clothes. Kanna smiles at him.
"The Fire Ferrets need a lot of money to participate in the match. I'm heading into town to search for some jobs to help them out." She says.
"That's very kind of you." He says. Kanna kisses Lee's nose goodbye and leaves the island once again to go into the city. She finally finds multiple jobs to be done. She cleaned out the lakes and rivers. She helped work at the water tribe noodle restaurant. She became a bartender at a strip club. She helped fix filtering for the drinking and shower supply. She caught some creatures from the sea and sold them. In the end, she made a total of 3,700 yuans.
"Kanna? What are you doing here?" Kanna glances up to see Hasook staring at her in confusion. He holds some bags in his hands.
"I just got done doing work. Here let me help." Kanna immediately takes two bags from him and holds them. The two chat and laugh about random topics as they slowly walk to Hasook's apartment. Well Kanna is just following where ever Hasook goes. They finally make it to his apartment.
"Do you want to come in and have a cup of tea with me?" Hasook awkwardly asks. A smile plays on Kanna's lips.
"I'll love to." She replies. Hasook and her travel into an elevator which takes them to the fifth floor of the apartment building. Hasook unlocks his doors and allows her to walk in first. She carefully sets the bags down on a nearby table. "Nice place you got." She compliments, gazing around. She sits down on the couch..
"Thanks." He vanishes and comes back with cups of tea. He hands her one and sits beside her. The two watch Disney movies together until Kanna has to leave to go home. "We should do this again." He suggests.
"I'll like that." She says. She pauses for a moment before kissing his cheek. "Bye Hasook." She leaves. Hasook slowly brings a hand up to touch his flushing cheek.
•••
Korra is weaving her way through the spinning panels, twirling around and avoiding every contact. Kanna is practicing her water bending with Ikki watching her. Jinora is keeping an eye on Korra. Kanna forms a ball of water before turning it into many mini people, dancing. Ikki laughs and claps her hands.
"Good. Light on your feet!" Jinora calls out.
Korra spins out on the other side without being touched once by the gates. She lands outside in front of the girls. Kanna stops her bending to stare at Mako who is making his way towards them.
"Ooh, he's cute. Korra, is that the handsome firebender boy that drives you crazy?" Jinora questions.
"Yes, he certainly is." Kanna replies with a wicked smile on his lips. Korra looks wide-eyed at the girls, glances back, and sees Mako.
"Does he drive you crazy in a bad way, or does he drive you crazy like you like him?" Ikki asks. Kanna starts to hysterically laugh as Korra's face flushes in embarrassment. Korra quickly raises the earth underneath the three girls, catapulting them in the air. Jinora and Ikki land softly by using their air bending. They watch as Kanna quickly catches herself in a water ball before landing. She stomps towards Korra as the sisters stay behind to higher.
"Ahem. Oh. Hey, Mako." Korra greets.
"Hey freaky eyebrows." Kanna greets and hugs Mako. He returns it and releases her.
"Have you seen Bolin?" Mako inquires.
"No, shouldn't he be home by now?" Kanna answers.
"Nice to see you, too. And no. I haven't seen him since practice. Think something's wrong?" Korra answers.
"I don't know. Bolin has a knack for getting into stupid situations. See you later. Kanna, want to join me?" Mako asks. Kanna whistles and Lee appears. She cuddles him to her chest, nodding her head. The two humans begin to walk away.
"It shall seem that the handsome boy likes Kanna." Jinora says.
"Kanna doesn't even talk about him. She talks about that Hasook guy." Ikki says. The sisters pause and exchange a look. They shrug.
"Meh." They say simultaneously.
"Wait. I could, uh ... help you look for him too." Korra suggests.
"Nah. we got it." Mako brushes her off.
"Hey, cool guy, let me help you. We can take Naga." Korra happily tells him.
"Who's Naga?" Mako questions.
"My best friend. And a great tracker." Korra says at the same time as Kanna says.
"A giant creature who has a snoring problem." Korra nudges Kanna. "What? We both know it's the truth." Kanna defends herself. "That reminds me, here. I found some work that pays very well." Kanna hands over all the money she made to Mako. His eyebrows raise in surprise.
"This is a lot of money...what did you do, kill someone?" Mako jokes.
"My lips are sealed." Kanna does the locking the lips motion and throws away the key. Mako chuckles softly. Korra stalks away to Nage. The two quickly follow after her.
•••
Mako, Korra, and Kanna are riding Naga around the city. Kanna has Lee curled up in a ball, resting on her head.
"Your best friend is a polar bear dog. Somehow, that makes perfect sense." Mako says.
"I'll take that as a compliment, city boy." Korra says. The two exchange a smile. Naga gets closer and closer to the base of the Fire Lord Zuko statue that holds up a flame. The three hops off of Naga and gaze around at the groups of citizens.
"Well, this is his usual hangout. You guys seen my brother around here today?" Mako strolls closer to a group of kids shoving each other.
"Perhaps. My memory's a little 'foggy'. Maybe you can help 'clear it up'." The kid rubs his nose with a smirk. Kanna rolls her eyes, hip bumping Mako out of her way and grabbing the kid's collar. She lifts him high in the air.
"Korra, a little warmth would be nice for the kid here." Kanna sweetly suggests. Korra chuckles before her hands light up in flames. She places them close to the kid's face. "Now, you're going to answer Mako's questions or I'll have my friend here burn you."
"Do what the girl says, Skoochy." Mako tells him. Skoochy nods his head.
"Yeah, I seen him." He answers.
"When?"
"About noon."
"What was he doing?"
"He was performing some kind of monkey rat circus. And then Shady Shin showed up and flashed some serious cash. Bo took off with him in his hot rod. The Triple Threats? The Red Monsoons? The Agni Kais? All the triads are muscling up for something real big. Now that's all you're getting outta me!" Kanna releases the kid. They watch him run off.
"I wanted to watch the show." Kanna grumbles and crosses her arms over her chest. Korra pats her back.
"I'm sure he'll show you a show sometime. What's he talking about?" Korra directs her question to Mako who looks extremely worried.
"Sounds like there's a turf war brewing. And Bolin's about to get caught right in the middle of it." Mako replies.
"Why would Bolin agree to this?" Kanna asks. Mako sighs and closes his eyes.
"He wanted the money Shady Shin offered to prove to me that he could help pay the thirty thousand yuans." He says. Korra and Kanna exchange a look. They hop back onto Naga and Lee jumps into Kanna's lap.
"So where're we headed?" Korra questions.
"The Triple Threat Triad's headquarters. Hopefully Bolin's there and nothing's gone down yet." Mako replies.
"The Triple Threat Triad? I beat up some of those yahoos when I got into town. Why would Bolin get tangled up wit-" Korra is cut off by Naga suddenly shoots forward. Naga chases after a fire ferret.
"PABU!" Kanna shouts in excitement at the sight. Pabu climbs up a streetlight.
"No, Naga! Pabu's a friend, not a snack." Korra scolds. Pabu runs down the streetlights and up Mako's shoulder. Mako smiles at the fire ferret. Kanna leans over to kiss Pabu's head, inches away from Mako's cheeks which causes a light blush to creep up his neck. He shakes his head and focuses on that fact that Pabu isn't with Bolin.
"We gotta hurry." Mako says urgently.
•••
Kanna stares at the headquarters in front of her. The group slides off of Naga and approach the door.
"Something's not right. There're usually thugs posted out front. We better be cautious." Mako informs the girls. Kanna cracks her knuckles.
"Cautious! Ha! I love at that word!" Kanna goes to laugh, but Korra covers her mouth. Mako and Korra give her a look. Korra finally lets go of her mouth.
Mako presses his back against the door post and peers into the door window, while signaling to the girls that it is safe to come up. As he slinks back into the shadows, Korra casually strolls toward the door with Kanna beside her. The double doors are being kicked out of their hinges by Kanna. The small party enters the empty room, looking around. The building is strangely empty and the furniture is broken.
"Bolin? You in here?" Mako calls out. A truck engine roars to life alerting the three teenagers. They rush outside in time to see Bolin tied up in a back of a truck being driven away. A weird masked guy closes the door. "Bolin!" Mako shouts.
"I don't Bolin can hear you, and even if he could, he can't answer you because he's gagged." Kanna says dryly. She takes a step away from Mako when he glares at her. "Okay, my sarcasm isn't appreciated at the moment. Understood." The trio chase after the vehicle. Two masked figures on motorcycles appear and pull out smoke grenades. "INCOMING!" Kanna shouts when the grenades are thrown at them. The smoke eventually clears and the vehicles are nowhere to be seen. Mako and Korra are covering up a storm. Kanna is raising her eyebrows at them. "Did you really breath in the smoke even after I warned you?" She questions. She gets glares aimed at her in response.
"Naga, come!" Korra yells while running off in the direction the motorcyclists took off in. Naga is following after her with Lee on her head. Mako and Kanna chase after them. The three hop onto the polar bear. They come running out of the alley. Mako shots a fire ball at the motorcyclists. They swerve to avoid it. Kanna forms ice on the road, forcing the truck to lose control. Korra launches the motorcyclists in the air with her earth ramp. Suddenly, Naga goes crashing down and the three riders are thrown off her back.
The three are attacked by three masked motorcyclists. Kanna quickly spits out ice bullets at the man that's advancing towards her. To her surprise, he dodges them. She jumps backwards and which realizes that the only water she can get is from the fire hydrant. As she focus on the fire hydrant to explode, she engages the man in hand-to-hand combat. She throws the boomerang from her waist at the guy. It hit him in the head and she catches it, placing it back in her waist band.
He kicks her left leg while throwing a punch at her head. She ducks underneath the punch. She fakes to the left and gets the guy in his right check. He aims three kicks to her stomach when she left it open when she went to lunch him. Suddenly, his hands are trying to hit her arms. She notices that he's aiming to hit her pressure points that can stop bending for a short amount of them. She upper cuts him and does a cartwheel away.
The water in the fire hydrant explodes. Kanna quickly uses the water to form a whip. She swing the whip to hit the man when he once again dodges it. Frustration fills her veins as she forms three more water whips. She continues her attempts to land a hit on the man while Korra and Mako are having the same problem with their opponents. No one of them could land a single attack on the masked people.
Lee appears and launches himself on the man's unsuspecting neck. Kanna smiles at the distraction before curling her whips around the man's legs, making him trip and fall to the floor. Suddenly, Kanna is attacked by the female motorcyclist. Kanna's arms go completely numb and her water whispers disappear. She thrown to the ground next to Mako and Korra. The three stare at the masked people with different emotions; Mako in fear, Korra in wonder and Kanna is amazement. Lee runs in front of Kanna, puffing his fur up as he snarls. Naga growls loudly at the scene.
The female masked rider is approaching them while twirling her bola around her menacingly. Her two male partners are doing the same thing. They are about to throw the bolas when Naga cuts them off by jumping in the air with her teeth bared. Pabu jumps off Naga and towards the attackers with Lee beside him. Te animals drive the attackers away. The motorcyclists throw more smoke grenades down before leaving. Pabu crawls up Mako's leg and onto his shoulder while Korra drapes her arm around Naga's head and allows her pet to pull her to her feet. Lee helps Kanna sit up. Korra tries to bend.
"Ugh, I can't bend. I can't bend!" Korra cries out in alarm. Kanna tries to bend the remaining water on the ground to see that she can't bend either.
"I can't bend either." Kanna informs Korra. "Those people...they blocked our bending." She growls.
"Calm down, Korra, it'll wear off. Those guys were chi blockers. They're Amon's henchmen." Mako says.
"Amon? That anti-bending guy with a mask?" Korra asks.
"Yeah, he's the leader of the Equalists." Mako replies. Kanna finally is able to bend again and begins to heal everyone's wounds.
"What do they want with the Triple Threats?" Korra inquiries, watching Kanna heal her sore arm.
"Whatever it is, can't be good. Ugh, can't believe Bolin got himself into this mess!" Mako touches his forehead in anger and crosses his arms. Kanna heads over to him and heals his arm.
"Freaky eyebrows, it'll be alright. Bolin may act immature, but I'm sure he understand how serious the trouble he's in right now and is trying to escape." Kanna comforts him.
"Mako, we are going to save your brother. I promise you that." Korra promises Mako while setting a hand on his shoulder. Kanna and Korra exchange a look with another before nodding their heads, determination on their faces. Mako looks at them with a ghost of a smile on his face.
•••
Kanna, Korra and Mako are on top of Naga, roaming the streets of the city in search of Bolin. Kanna has Pabu asleep around her neck and Lee asleep on her head. Her eyelids are dropping in exhaustion every few moments.
"We've been out all night. No sign of him." Korra says while Naga stops walking.
"We've gotta keep looking. But where?" Mako tiredly asks. The three close their eyes in disappointment when Korra's eyes snap open and a smile comes to her face.
"Huh! I have an idea!" Korra yells. She pulls Naga's reins and they start moving again. They make their way to Republic City Park which is covered in the morning fog. They pull up at a fountain, and Naga bends over to get a drink. Pabu and Lee climb on top of Naga's head and take a drink too. Korra, Kanna and Mako get off Naga and are now sitting by the fountain. Kanna is resting her head on Mako's shoulder and he is resting his head on top of her head.
"The first day I got into town, I ran into an Equalist protester over there." Korra points.
"When was this?" Kanna asks, not remembering this.
"It was after we split up." Korra explains.
"And you think they'll know where Bolin is?" Mako asks.
"It's our only lead right now." Korra replies while sighing. "So, why is Bolin running around with the Triple Threat Triad, anyway?"
"Well, we ... we used to do some work for them back in the day." Mako answers.
"What? Wha- Are you some kind of criminal?" Korra inquires, a darkness taking to her tone. Kanna nails Korra with a water ball.
"Watch your tone! They had no one to take care of them like we did, Korra. Which means they had to take care of themselves." Kanna scolds, an evil gleam in her eyes. A guilty look comes to Korra's face.
"Listen to Kanna. You don't know what you're talking about. I just ran numbers for them and stuff. We were orphans out on the street. I did what I had to do to survive and protect my little brother." Mako growls in anger.
"I'm sorry. It must have been really hard. Can I ask what happened to your parents?" Korra asks.
"They were mugged, by a firebender. He cut them down right in front of me. I was eight." Mako replies and pulls his scarf over his mouth. Kanna rubs his arm.
"Mako..." Korra trails off not sure what to say.
"Bolin's the only family I have left. If anything happened to him..." Mako bits his lip and shakes his head.
"Nothing is going to happen to him. We're getting Bolin back, no matter what." Kanna reassuringly says. A couple hours later, Korra, Kanna and Mako are asleep. Korra and Mako are back to back while Kanna's head is in Mako's lap. They wake up to a voice shouting.
"Equality now! Equality now!We want equality now!" A protester shouts through a megaphone.
"That's the guy." Korra says. The trio make their way towards him.
"Nonbenders of Republic City, Amon calls you to action! Take back your city! It's time for the," The man gasps when he sees Korra. The civilian sitting next to him looks terrified. "It's you again! You cannot silence me, Avatar!" Korra promptly swats away the megaphone under a squeal of the protester. Kanna and Mako watch the megaphone break into little pieces.
"Someones cranky." Kanna muses in amusement.
"Shut your yapper and listen up. My friend got kidnapped by some chi blockers. Where'd they take him?" Korra asks. The man clenches his fists and glares at her.
"I feel like he's not going to be a big help." Kanna mumbles to Mako. He nods his head in agreement.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." The man says with his arms crossed. Kanna sees the look on Korra's face.
"She's going to do something stupid soon." Kanna says.
"Oh, I think you do." Korra threatens. Korra lifts her leg in the air and slams it down with a half-moon kick. The earth underneath the table rises, catapulting it in the air and throwing the protester off. Leaflets with a picture of Amon are thrown off and rain down upon the area. Mako and Kanna both grab a leaflet and examine it.
"'Witness the Revelation tonight, nine o' clock'. What's this 'Revelation'?" Mako questions.,
"Nothing that concerns the likes of you two!" The man shouts, pointing at Mako and Korra. The three exchange a look of confusion when he doesn't address Kanna.
"What about me?" Kanna asks.
"Amon wishes for you to be at the Revelation tonight." The man replies. He squeals as Korra grabs the hem of his shirt and pulls him up.
"You better believe it concerns us and why does Amon want Kanna there? Spill it." Korra snarls.
"No one knows what the Revelation is! No one knows why Amon wants her there! And I have no idea what happened to your friend. But if he's a bender, then my bet is he's getting what's coming to him." The man smirks.
"Where is it happening?" Mako inquiries. At the sound of a whistle, Mako, Kanna and Korra turn to their left. A policeman is running towards them while blowing his whistle again.
"I blame everything on Korra." Kanna says causing Korra to glare at her and Mako to chuckle.
"Hey! What's going on over there?" The policemen yells.
"The Avatar's oppressing us. Help!" The protester screams.
"Let's scram." Korra throws him away. Korra, Kanna and Mako run off, but Mako quickly snatches up a handful of leaflets before vaulting on Naga. Naga quickly takes off. Kanna, Mako and Korra sitting on a bench underneath the bridge. Korra holds one of the leaflets, while they're all looking at several others spread out over the floor. There hangs a map of the city next to Korra on the wall.
"Why didn't the Equalists put a location on these?" Korra asks.
"Probably because they don't want just anyone waltzing in to their big 'Revelation', whatever that is. I bet the information is hidden on here somehow. Look at the backs. There's four different images."
"It's a puzzle." Kanna says before taking the leaflets and placing them together to form a map. With the leaflets together, a red spot is on one of the backs.
"Bingo. That must be where it's going down. You're a genius!" Mako pats Kanna on the back.
A group of people walk toward the building, and Korra and Mako stay into the shadow of another building, eyeing them. Kanna is already done there, saying she wanted to scope the area out before they headed in blind.
"This is the place." Mako says.
•••
Kanna shows the bouncer her leaflet. "The Revelation is upon us, sister." He told her before letting her in. Her eyes widen at the sight of so many people in one place. She sneaks away from the large group and begins her search of Bolin. She finds him in a back room along with four other people.
"Bolin!" She says excitingly, rushing towards him. "Don't worry, I'm here to save you."
"Kanna, you need to leave." He tells her.
"Not without you." She says.
"Should've listened to him. Amon has been expecting you." A voice behind her said before she's knocked to the ground and tied up.
"Please welcome your hero, your savior ... Amon!" Amon emerges from a trapdoor in the stage with a line of Equalists behind him under loud approving cheers of the crowd. A spotlight is turned on, illuminating the Equalist leader. Korra eyes him slightly shocked. Amon walks up to the microphone, the people still cheering loudly for him.
"My quest for equality began many years ago. When I was a boy, my family and I lived on a small farm. We weren't rich, and none of us were benders. This made us very easy targets for the firebender who extorted my father. One day, my father confronted this man, but when he did, that firebender took my family from me. Then, he took my face. I've been forced to hide behind a mask ever since. As you know, the Avatar and her Protecter has recently arrived in Republic City. And if the Avatar were here, she would tell you that bending brings balance to the world. But, she is wrong. The only thing bending has brought to the world, is suffering. It has been the cause of every war in every era. But that is about to change. I know you have been wondering, 'What is the Revelation?' You are about to get your answer. Since the beginning of time, the spirits have acted as guardians of our world, and they have spoken to me. They say the Avatar has failed humanity. That is why the spirits have chosen me to usher in a new era of balance. They have granted me a power that will make Equality a reality. The power to take a person's bending away. Permanently." Amon says. The audience gasps.
"That's impossible. There's no way." Korra whispers.
"This guy's insane!" Mako says.
"Now, for a demonstration. Please welcome, Lightning Bolt Zolt." An Equalist guard leads the tied up man onto the stage. "Leader of the Triple Threat Triad, and one of the most notorious criminals in Republic City." The crowd boos.
"Ah, boo yourself!" Bolt Zolt shouts to the crowd. Equalist guards lead five more tied up benders onto the stage, forcing them to their knees, Kanna and Bolin being the last of them.
"Kanna?! They have her and Bolin." Korra eyes her best friend with worry. She goes to rush up there when Mako grabs her arm.
"Wait, we can't fight them all. We need to be smart about this." Mako says.
"Then come up with a game plan, 'Team Captain'." Korra hisses.
"Zolt has amassed a fortune by extorting and abusing nonbenders. But his reign of terror is about to come to an end. Now, in the interest of fairness," the Lieutenant takes off the rope binding Lightning Bolt Zolt, "I will give Zolt the chance to fight to keep his bending." Amon moves away from Zolt and the Equalist guard pushes Zolt in the opposite direction Amon took to bring some space between the two fighters.
"You're gonna regret doing that, pal." Lightning Bolt Zolt immediately directs a fire blast at Amon. Amon dodges every blast that Zolt throws at him, gradually coming closer. Amon dodges the rounds of fire blasts. Zolt surges forward while generating lightning. He fires the bolt at the Equalist leader who ducks underneath it, grabs hold of Zolt's wrist, and twists it around and away from him. The lightning crashes into the stage, before hitting the ceiling as Amon turns his hands further away. Zolt's neck is being grabbed by Amon's hand. Lightning is still shooting out of Zolt's fingers, as Amon moves his hand from Zolt's wrist to his forehead. Amon places his thumb in the center of his forehead. Zolt's face is contorted in fear. The crackling lightning changes into a large fire blast, and stops entirely. Amon lets go of Zolt, who collapses weakly onto the ground. Amon takes a few steps back and Zolt attempts to firebend at Amon to no avail. He crashes back to the ground before the feet of the Equalist leader. The crowd gasps.
"What ... what did you do to me?" Zolt asks with a sad look on his face as he gazes at his hands.
"Your firebending is gone. Forever. The era of bending is over. A new era of Equality has begun!" The crowd cheers madly. One of the Equalist guards releases the second captured bender, Shady Shin, and kicks him forward to face Amon.
"No! Ugh!" Shady Shin screams.
"Any ideas yet?" Korra urgently asks Mako.
"I think so, see those machines? They're powered by water and steam. If you create some cover, I can grab Bolin and Kanna without anyone seeing. Then, we duck out of here." Mako informs her.
"Works for me. Mako, good luck." Korra shakes his hand.
"You, too." Mako says. Kanna and Bolin are eyeing each other in fright as Shady Shin has his bending taken away. The earthbender is grabbed by the collar and pulled to his feet. He gasps. Kanna and Bolin scoot closer together.
"Well Bolin, are you as scared as I am right now?" Kanna asks.
"I think I'm even more scared than you." Bolin whispers. An Equalist unties Kanna and throws her towards Amon.
"And tonight, I bring you all a special treat! The Protecter, Kanna!" Amon shouts. Roars erupt from the crowd. She whimpers, taking a giant step backwards in fear. Suddenly, Bolin is standing beside her. The two exchange a look with each other. They holds hands as Amon
slowly turns around under the loud cheering of the crowd.
"Uh, hello, Amon, sir. I think there's been a big misunderstanding." Bolin says.
"How about you take half of the city and us benders take the other half?" Kanna chuckles nervously. Amon moves forward and they two slightly back up. "Or no, okay that's cool." She says. An explosion to their left make them duck for cover. Steam starts to pour in to the meeting room. The crowd begins to run away, coughing. Amon disappears. Bolin is grabbed by an Equalist. Kanna punches the man away from Bolin and Mako appears, throwing the man off stage. Kanna wiggles her sore hand about to forget about the pain cursing up her arm.
"Kanna, Bolin, you all right?" Mako asks.
"Besides not feeling my heart beating at the moment, I'm fine." Kanna breaths out.
"Yes! Mako! I love you!" Bolin says. As Bolin moves forward in an attempt to hug his brother, Mako seizes him around his neck and drags him off into the steam. Kanna follows after them, not wanting to lose sight of the them. The two brothers and Kanna emerge from the balcony exit and run over to a ladder. Kanna is the first one to climb down it. Mako gazes up to see an Equalist twirling his kali sticks and slamming them onto the ladder, sending an electricity charge through it. Kanna, Mako and Bolin scream in shock and pain and fall down, landing with grunts. The Lieutenant jumps down from the balcony, his kali stick charged. Kanna falls unconscious since electricity is a water bender's greatest weakness. Mako gently lays her body on the ground before he and Bolin go to attack the Lieutenant.
Mako launches a fire jet at the crouched Lieutenant from his left fist. The Equalist runs off to avoid the blast. He attacks Mako with his kali sticks, electricity trailing behind them as he rapidly swings them around. With a few fast hits, Mako is floored, and the Lieutenant turns to Bolin. Bolin flips over and uses his own momentum to hurl a slap of earth at the Lieutenant. The Lieutenant jumps up and twirls out of the way. He charges at Bolin who quickly conjures up a large earth wall to protect himself. The Lieutenant performs a round off, before back flipping and somersaulting over Bolin's wall. He lands behind a shocked Bolin, who quickly turns to face him, and the Lieutenant jabs him with the two electrified kali sticks and electroshocks him until he falls to the ground unconscious.
Suddenly, Mako emerges from beside the wall, using the building to push himself off in the Lieutenant's direction, sending a fire slice in his direction. The Lieutenant dodges, and Mako kicks out another fire slice, knocking over Bolin's wall with his attack. The Lieutenant charges at Mako again. The Lieutenant lands a hit with a kali stack in Mako's stomach, flinging him back with a grunt of pain. Mako is pushed up against the wall and the Lieutenant charges as he twirls both his weapon sticks before jabbing them on Mako's chest, electroshocking him into unconsciousness. Mako slumps onto the ground as well. The Lieutenant is looking at Bolin's and Kanna's unconscious form.
"You benders need to understand, there's no place in the world for you anymore." The Lieutenant says. A pillar of rock shoots up beside the Lieutenant and thrusts him brutally against the building. He slams hard against the metal, his two kali sticks are knocked out of his hands, and he falls down onto the ground.
"I wouldn't count us out just yet. Naga!" Korra whistles. Naga barks and immediately comes running from behind a building, jumping down the last of the ramp. Korra walks over to Mako as he struggles to get up and helps him to his feet. Mako goes to grab Kanna when two Equalists drop down, blocking her from them. More Equalist fighters storm the area from the balcony. Korra and Mako get on to Naga. Bolin sits up just as Naga runs up, grabbing him with her teeth by his collar and drags him off.
"We left her." Mako mumbles in disbelief, staring at the unconscious Kanna until she is no longer in her sight. "What did we just do?" Lee whimpers from his spot on Naga's head.
"We just abandoned our friend." Korra whispers with a tear sliding down her face.
"The Avatar. That's her!" The Lieutenant shouts.
"Let her go. She's the perfect messenger to tell the city of my power. Besides, we have her little friend." Amon stares at Kanna. "Lock her up in a cell. Make sure there's a plate of food and a cup of water by her cell doors. I want to have a chat with her."

"Thank goodness. I was just about to send out a search party. Are you all right? Korra, what happened? Did you find your friend? Where's Kanna?" Tenzin asks, placing his hands on her shoulder for her to shake them off.
"Yes, but I was at an Equalist rally. I saw Amon." Korra informs him.
"What?"
"He can take people's bending away. For good."
"That's...that's impossible. Only the Avatar has ever possessed that ability."
"But I saw him do it."
"I believe you. I don't know how Amon has achieved this power, but this means the revolution is more dangerous than ever. No bender is safe. That leaves me to my other question, where is Kanna?"
"Kanna has protected me her entire life. She's saved my life more than I can count. And the one time that it was my turn to save her, I failed. Amon has Kanna."

Kanna lays on a metal bed, trembling in her sleep as memories play in her mind. Amon calmly sits next to her. He tapes the two pictures the Lieutenant found on her onto the wall. One picture must've been Kanna as a young girl, looking to be around six, bending water with a smile. The other picture is a man and woman holding a toddler. Amon can only guess that Kanna was the toddler and those adults were her parents. Amon pauses when he hears a small groan echo throughout the room. He slowly turns and watches as Kanna sits up in the bed, holding her head.
"Korra? Mako? Bolin?" She calls out in a shaky voice. She opens her eyes and they land on him. A look of horror comes to her face. "Amon." She breathes out. "Shit." She swore loudly.
