It's the day of the finals and ash has never been more pumped up and ready. He could barely get sleep last night. "I'm gonna win this!" Ash said. "Well someone seems confident." Misty said. "You bet I am I'm ready." Misty just shook her head and laughed "so where you gonna be heading after this?" She asked. "Hmm... not sure yet first wanna focus on my battle before worrying about another region." Then clement walked in and said "makes sense one journey at a time. I just came to wish you good luck Ash." Thanks clement.

  *timeskip to the battle*
Welcome to the finals on your right we have Ash Ketchum from pallet town and on your left we have logan from veridian city. Okay trainers choose your first Pokémon! We here the referee say. "Alright then jolteon come on out!" Logan says. "Jolteon ehh? Okay then krookadile I choose you!" Logan saw that his krookadile was wearing sunglasses which was not usually something Pokémon do. "Hey why is your krookadile wearing sunglasses?" Ash just smiled and said "cause that's just his style. Now use crunch!" Logan quickly said "jolteon dodge quick.". With that jolteon was able to dodge just in time. Now use tackle!" Jolteon used tackle and hit krookadile. " you good krookadile?" Ash asked. Krookadile shakes his head. "Okay then use dig." With that he dug under the ground where jolteon couldn't see him. "Keep your guard up Jolteon!" Logan told his Pokémon." Jolteon nodded say "jolt" but a second later krookadile is popping out right from under Jolteon knocking her down. Taking a lot of damage. "No jolteon! Are you okay?" Jolteon stood up indicating she can still fight. "Okay then use thunder bolt!" She uses thunderbolt but little to no damage was done to krookadile that's when Logan realizes that krookadile is also part ground type so electric type moves won't work. How could he forget that. The only move he really could use it tackle but even that is a gamble. Best bet is to switch her out for now. "Jolteon return. Okay scizor Come out!"

Logan thought which move to use to put the most damage on krookadile. "Alright use furry cutter!". "Krookadile dodge it!" But krookadile didn't dodge it in time and took a critical hit from scizor. "You okay krookadile?" Krookadile weakily stood up indicating he's still okay to go. "I'm surprised he can still battle. Your Pokémon must have a lot of spirit." Logan said. "They sure do.". Ash said. "Now krookadile use crunch!". "You use furry cutter again!" Both Pokémon used there moves but unfortunately who came on top was scizor. "Krookadile you did great get some rest." Smile at his poke ball proudly. "Now infernape let's go!". "Use flamethrower!" Just then a powerful flamethrower hits scizor knocking him out. "I was planning to save you for last but..." Logan thought to himself "Gardevoir come on out!"

Ash recognized that Pokémon "so I see you've been to the hoenn region too.". Logan chuckles and said "yeah I have but I see you've been to regions I haven't yet. Kind of excites me a little. Now Gardevoir use confusion!" Gardevoir used confusion causing infernape to get confused. "Infernape snap out of it and use flame thrower." Infernape used flamer and barely landed a blow do to confusion causing Gardevoir to take very little damage. "We need to something about that confusion." Ash then said "Infernape! Try to use fire punch but on yourself!". Logan was confused "Are you crazy!? Why would you ask your Pokémon to move on there self!". Infernape did what he said and it got rid of the confusion. "It actually worked!". Logan said surprised. "Doesn't matter my Gardevoir will still win. Now Gardevoir use shadow ball!". "Dodge and use Mach punch." Ash yelled. Infernape dodged and landed a hit causes some damage. "Gardevoir shadow ball again!". Logan yelled. Gardevoir did as he said and landed a hit causing damage as well. "Infernape you good?". Ash said worriedly. Infernape got up and said "Infernape" determined. "Alright use flame thrower!". Ash said. "Dodge it!" But Gardevoir didn't dodge in time and got hit taking some damage. "Gardevoir are you alright?" Logan asks. Gardevoir shakes her head and said "Garde". Logan smiled and said "okay then use confusion then psychic!". Gardevoir did as he said and just as before infernape became confused but this time he ended up getting lifted up in his confusion and thrown to ground getting knocked out. "Return infernape. You did great." Ash said proudly. "Alright gengar I choose you!" Ash said.

Logan wasn't sure if he should return Gardevoir out or night since she took a lot of damage. "Garde!" His Pokémon said. "Okay then use shadow ball!". Logan said. "Dodge it and use Nightshade!" Ash said. Gengar did what he said and landing a hitting causing Gardevoir to faint. "Gardevoir!" Logan yelled returning. "You caught well till the end. Okay Houndoon come on out!". Out comes houndoom ready to fight. "Alright now use dark pulse.". Houndoom's dark pulse hits gengar causing a lot of damage. "Gengar you alright?" Ash asks. Gengar says "Geng" indicating he can go. "Alright then use nightshade.". Gengar uses night shade it hits houndoom but doesn't deal much damage. "Now houndoom use crunch. "Dodge gengar!" Ash said. But houndoom was quicker and ended up fainting. "You did well gengar now renturn and get some rest." Ash said. "Now Eevee I choose you!".

"Ahh... there's Eevee." Logan said it a playful tone. Ash just rolled his eyes while shaking his head and said "now eevee use swift!". Ash said. "Dodge it!" Said Logan houndoom dodged the attack. "Good now use fire fang!" Houndoom uses fire fang dealing quite a bit of damage to eevee. Eevee stands up shaking it's head indicating it's alright. "Eevee use iron tail!" Eevee uses iron tail this time landing a hit causing damage to houndoom. "Shake it off and use bite!". "Dodge it!" Eevee starts to dodge it but then you hear. Don't let it dodge your attack.". Then houndoom makes sure to land the attack causing some damage. "Eevee you alright? Ash asks concerned. Eevee responds with and "Eve" "Alright then eevee let's try and wrap this up use attract.". Eevee uses attract by acting cute and then houndoom starts to gets love struck. "Houndoom what's wrong with you?". Logan asks worried. "Attract makes any Pokémon of the opposite sex fall under a trance. Now eevee use tackle!". Ash yells. "No houndoom dodge it!" But houndoom wasn't able to due to attract and ended up getting hit by swift causing the Pokémon to faint. "Return! You did well houndoom.". Logan said.

     Logan then grabbed his next pokeball and said "jolteon come out!". Out comes jolteon still not fully recovered but ready to battle. "Alright jolteon use thunderbolt!". Jolteon uses thunderbolt but eevee dodges just in time. "Now eevee use shadow ball. Ash said. "Dodge it then use thunderbolt". Jolteon did just that and this time landed a hit causing quite a bit of damage. Eevee stands up shakily but still willing to fight. "Alright eevee use swift." This time her attack hits too causing damage to jolteon as well. Now both Pokémon are pretty tired. "Alright jolteon thunderbolt! Eevee shadow ball!" They both say together. Both Pokémon use there attacks and a big cloud of dust fills the air from their power. Finally when it cleared both Pokémon have fainted.

   Both trainer return there Pokémon thanking them. "Looks like where tied so far. Guess we gotta break that?". Logan said. "Vileplume come on out!". Ash looked at his buddy on his shoulder and said "buddy you ready?". The Pokémon responded "pika!" Then hopped off ready to go. "Alright then pikachu I choose you!". Ash yelled. "A pikachu interesting. Vileplume use razorleaf!". Logan said. "Dodge it and use iron tail!". Pikachu dodged it and then went in the air to use iron tail and landed a hit causing some damage. "Use poison powder". Logan said. "Pikachu try to hold your breath." Ash yelled but the poison already hit pikachu. "Pikachu are you gonna be okay?". "Pika pi." Pikachu says. "Alright then use thunderbolt on Vileplume.". Pikachu uses thunderbolt on Vileplume and it's a critical hit. "Vileplume!". Logan is worried his Vileplume might not be able to continue the it starts to get up. "Alright let's finish this with solar beam.". Logan yelled. "Quick use volt tackle before it finishes charging up!". Pikachu does as ash said just as solar beam was about to fire and knocks vileplume cause it to faint. "Return vileplume you did well.". Logan said.

Logan grabbed his next pokeball and said "you may be ahead now but this next Pokémon will change everything.". Then Logan calls out "Charizard come on out!". Ash smirks and says "we'll see about that.". "Charizard use flame thrower!". Charizard used flamethrower and it put great damage in pikachu. "Pikachu!" Ash yelled! Pikachu used all his strength to stand up cause he wasn't ready to give up on this fight yet but the poison still in his system wasn't helping. Ash knew pikachu wouldn't last much longer with that poison in his system. "Pikachu return." Ash yelled. "Pika a pi!"Pikachu looked at ash surprised telling him he can keep going. "It's okay pikachu you did well. With that poison you need rest. Plus we still have grininja.". Ash said reassuring. Pikachu agreed and walked back disappointed. Ash laughed and started petting pikachu which calmed pikachu.

Logan smirked "returning your pikachu I might win after all.". Ash just grabbed his pokeball and said "I wouldn't be so sure not with the next Pokémon I have in store for you. Alright greninja I choose you!" Ash called out. Out comes a frog like Pokémon Logan's never seen before "what Pokémon is that?" Logan asked. "It's from the Kalos. Evolved forms of the water starter Pokémon froakie." Ash said proudly. "Hmm.. interesting well just cause it has type advantage over my Pokémon doesn't mean my Charizard can't win. We got a back up plan that I bet you don't." Logan said. Ash looked up with determination and said "don't think your the only one with tricks up there sleeve and this battle is not just about strength but about bonds between trainer and Pokémon too.". Logan scoffed and said "whatever Charizard use dragon claw!". Ash responded back "greninja used cut!".

So finally made this update. Sorry it took forever and I left on cliff hanger. Like I said a lot of writers block and finally was able to write something I was happy with. But the other part will be up in the week. I'm gonna update this story might be slow (not years this time though) also not sure if my battle scenes are gonna be good since I'm still out of practice. Anyway I hope you like this so far. I'll try to make it worth the wait sorry again.
