The dress really hugged my curves beautifully. Finally! That was the first thing I noticed as soon as I checked myself out. Since I have an athletic body, most dresses that I like never appreciate my curves. I am not always into dresses; they present me more... femininely. I mean, I love being feminine, I assure you that, but there is something fun to be a man for some reason. I believe that woman are capable of doing anything and beyond what men do... but sometimes, I feel like I wish to be a man. So, sum it all, dresses don't do well for me.

Anyway, this occasion is special. Pete was awesome and I needed to taunt him real tight today. Not always do I get such an opportunity to gain friends and hang out. So, I will use this chance to lose myself for a while. I need to forget that I will turn eighteen soon.

All my students in the class are too skimpy, silly, girly or boring to hang out with. I don't find anyone up to my standards. It is not my problem and when it comes to boys, they are constantly betting on getting in my pants. So, I have my zipper extra tight around them. It sucks at times.

Of course, my guard is high. I can't actually completely trust him with my life. Pete came into my life yesterday and who knows when tomorrow comes, he may kill me. After all, he was the one who got me the message from the mysterious guy who helped me. That incident seems so long ago.

Ok, so let me get this straight. Makeup is not my forte. Thus when I tried to apply some makeup with the help of YouTube tutorials; I ended up looking as if someone threw up on one side of my face; or as if a unicorn puked on my eyes and it looks as if two different kinds of unicorn were trotting on my face. Whatever! It looks like a very difficult task. Hey, I am just a beginner.

And, I know it is not difficult to put a light shade of makeup but what can I say; I didn't put my mind into it.

Anyhow, after countless wiping away and getting my face red as a tomato by all the scrubbing, I ended up doing a sweet sexy makeup and luckily I got it right. And, oh, did I say I don't own any makeup stuff? So, I had to go to Tiffany and destroy her precious makeup set. Ha! The fun! About half of the box is lying in the dustbin smeared on her precious lavender scented tissues.

Finally, I got myself ready and it was around seven. I texted him I am coming.

"Oh looks like the lady is finally ready."

"Yes." I was not in the mood for any comebacks. So, I simply said that.

"Uh-oh, the queen bee is not in her stinger. Fine"

"I will be there in a jiffy."

"Tiffy? Really..."

"Blimey... you are an ass."

"A hot ass"

"I wonder why the seats are not melting" I texted back, with a smile on my face while I strapped my sneakers. Don't look! Sneakers go well with dresses.

"That is old-fashioned, come up with something new."

"I will meet you." I stopped texting. And put the phone away into the sling bag that I borrowed from Tiffany for a while. Oh my, I really need to go shopping for such occasions. My room is seriously infected with undernourishment.

Geoffrey organized my ride and I reached Joe's ice-cream soon enough. Though it was not too dark, the cafeteria was well lit and I can see Pete sitting by the window, on my favorite seat and it looks like he was reading the menu. Cool!

With a smirk, and a sway, I entered the cafeteria looking confident and my eyes straight on Pete. He looked up as well as several others as the bell above the door jingled. The bald man had a confused stare on his face when I smiled at him.

But it was Pete I absolutely adored. His face was absolutely photoing worthy. Unfortunately, I didn't think of picturing him. I went to him, sat down, smiled and closed his opened mouth with my index finger.

"Hi, there handsome" I grinned.

He continued staring at me. His eyes, the shape of his face, was staring at me with absolute... some kind of emotion. I laughed and looked around to see the bald counter man too absolutely stunned but he recovered and smiled broadly at me.

"Pete, come on man, I didn't come here to count the teeth in your mouth or the diameter of your eyes... man!"

"Holy Moly... who are you?"

"Pee... Don't embarrass me." this time, I could feel my girly emotions color my face. Damn this emotion spree!

"No, really, who are you?"

"Your mother"

"Whoa, I am a sinner then."

I rolled my eyes at him.

"Why can't you walk like this often?"

"And then kill all those who look at me like you did?"

"You kill?" his face was once again round, round and round.

"Only when necessary"

He gulped down as in to show that he was scared and once again I rolled my eyes at him. After a while, the bald man walked to me and smiled.

"So, this is the special guy in your life?" I choked on the water that I was drinking. Pete laughed out loud. I was literally squirming while Pete rolled in his seat unable to stop himself. Seeing my reaction and Pete's reaction he must have understood the mistake because he sheepishly scratched his bald head and looked at me with a confused look.

"John, oh John, you got her right there."

"Umm... I am sorry Lilly." He once again scratched his head and I wondered if there was no hair there will be no dandruff and lice, then why is he scratching? Scratch that! I cleared my throat and smiled at him warmly.

"It's fine. But, no he is not my special one. He is only my... who are you?"

Pete feigned hurt and looked at me disapprovingly. "What about the promises? What about the love letters? What about your special name for me?"

I laughed and held his hands. Then looked at John and said, "Forgive me, John, for he is slightly delusional. His promises were never kept, his love letters were in fact threats and my special name for him is burnt sugar."

John looked at me alarmed. "Lilly that is bad. You shouldn't be a racist."

"What?" I stopped laughing and Pete, for once I saw how he might look when he was serious.

"You shouldn't say that it's highly inappropriate." John chastised me. I looked embarrassed but Pete cleared his throat, held my hand and smiled.

"John, she was being my friend and she called me something that was literally a sweet thing. I have been called, cartooned and mocked by much more intense things and none of them were my friends. She came in as a breeze and she remains as a statue in my garden." He stopped right there and looked at me as if he said something dangerous and then he cleared his throat and looked at his menu.

John said sorry and I said it's fine and assured him that never in my life will I ever discriminate, mock or do such horrible things just because the others are different from me. The old bald man kissed my forehead in a fatherly affection and walked away saying he will come back for our order later.

The bald man was a friend of Geoffrey and thus he knew something was not fine in my household since I am sure John must have seen me more than my parents ever did. After a while, Pete took his phone and messaged someone.

I was engrossed in my menu, but I was not reading it. I know what I want. I was just waiting for Pete to finish his order.

A bell jingling in the distance took my attention from the clouded discussion I had in my mind.

To be honest, I have to admit that I lost count of my heart jumping while seeing a boy in the last couple of months. It started to happen all of a sudden. God! What is happening to me?

Well... the thing is, in came through the doors, a man who looked handsome beyond words. But why I was attracted to him was completely a different feeling. I can't quite explain but I kind of feel like I know him. And that makes my heart extra furious in beating.

He walked the entire distance to our table without taking his eyes off me and neither did I break my eyecontact. He sat down and Pete looked up. He got up and did the boy thing in meeting and greeting their friend. I smiled watching them embrace warmly and I melted seeing this beauty smile and laugh with Pete.

"So, Lil, this is Sebastian. Seb, this is Lillian; the girl whom I was talking about; the one who captured my heart, the one and only one in my life... the girl!"

"Hi, Lillian" The voice! His voice! It was so familiar but I can't quite put my nose in it. I can smell it, he seems familiar. But there is no way I can figure it out. He must have seen my confused face since he looked at me little startled and Pete snapped his fingers at my face.

"I think I know you from somewhere but can't figure it out."

If I hadn't learned about body language I wouldn't have felt the tensed posture for a second on him. But since I had learned it and I saw it, I think I might be right. But he smiled and looked at Pete, quickly reorganizing himself. Maybe he is just confused.

"He might look familiar. He is quite famous around girls. You might have heard about him. He was your senior. No, he must be your super senior since he is in the second year of college." Pete suggested.

"I haven't heard about him," I said. Seb smiled but Pete frowned. Oops!

"It's fine, I haven't seen you around but now that Pete said it, I think I know someone like you but she is entirely different from you."

"How..." I can't help but be curious about it.

"Well, she walks in black, doesn't talk much and definitely doesn't wear any makeup," Seb said the last part with a genuine smile and for me, it felt as if he was hiding something underneath. I locked my gaze with him and he did the same. Somehow, my swooning mind vanished and I was studying him hard. I want to find him out.

Who is he? Why did Pete welcome him to this dinner? Many questions swirled in my mind.

Pete broke the silence.

"You might be looking at her since this girl has all dressed up for me, for this date Seb."

"Oh!" Seb looked surprised.

And my entire mood to play date with Pete and get him fucked up all vanished. I got up from my seat in a slightly angry manner conjuring up my façade and the smile from Seb vanished. Pete too got up.

"Lily, I am sorry, did I say something wrong?"

"No, not that Pete, I don't feel good."

"Lily, you can stay, I will leave." Seb offered and it irritated me.

"It's Lillian for you."

Their face was comical if I was not in a foul mood. Why did I feel so worked up is beyond me.  After all, the kind of stuff happening and my anxious mind trying to figure out about the eighteenth birthday and all made me real grumpy. So, when I was not able to figure Sebastian out, I got angry.

So I left the place.
