Fireshadow flicked his tail as he stared outside. His brother, Embersnarl, lashed his tail. Fireshadow snapped at the smaller tom "Calm down, Embersnarl! Gingerstar and Foxstar say this storm will pass over soon" He snapped, not liking the way the tom kept getting worked up. Embersnarl sighed and lay down in his moss nest, glaring at the blizzard. Fireshadow hoped that Scarletpaw, Darkfawn and Rainclaw would be alright.

After at least an hour, the storm calmed down. Fireshadow rushed outside, stepping in the snow that nearly came up to his belly. He bounded to the nursery, attempting to stay above the snow. He noted that bits of snow had made it in. The tom padded over to his mate and kits, nodding to Berryfall and Jaykit. "I'm going out to find Rainclaw, Scarletpaw and Darkfawn. I'll be back" He reassured, exiting the den. The tom ran out of camp, struggling to find the lost patrol's scent.
