A-plus-plus

WASHINGTON:     Do it for my son, Harry. We try to leave a legacy to our children, no matter how small. As a reminder, Margaret and I will call him...

MARGARET:     (finishes his sentence)   Wallstreet...he is Wallstreet White Wharton.

Harry thinks for a moment, nods and picks up the cigar.

HARRY:     The truth is, even during our wildest Harvard days, I've never doubted your wisdom. If that's what you think is best...all right. For Wallstreet.

They shake hands.

DISSOLVE TO:

INT. CLASSROOM (1941) - DAY

A private Catholic school. Twenty Middle School STUDENTS sit in desks in English class. The TEACHER, paces the rows, handing out essay papers with grades.

TEACHER:     I'm thrilled to inform you that for the first time in my fifteen years as teacher, I gave someone's essay an A-plus-plus.

He puts the paper with huge A++ grade on the desk of 11-year-old Wallstreet. With his mother's face, brown hair and complexion accentuated by his father's kind eyes, the boy is enthrallingly handsome. Smart and confident.

TEACHER:     Excellent, Wallstreet. Even the New York Times will proudly publish this work.

WALL STREET:     Thank you, sir.

The kids applaud. Wallstreet stands up and bows to acknowledge his classmates. The bell rings.
