I think when you're depressed, you see everything in a different, dimmer light. Kind of like when you're drunk, and you see everything as better than what it is, I think it works in the opposite way for people with depression. Songs suddenly make sense, you can tell when a smile is fake, you notice long sleeves in the summer, you notice everything. You see everything in shades of blue. Everything is sadder, lonelier, weaker. You cry more when you wear depression goggles. Something about them makes you tear up more than usual. You don't get as angry, you just feel sorry for everyone and everything you come across. Depression goggles are small, so small that once you put them on you can't take them off. They cut into the sides of your face and become part of you. I love my depression goggles but I wish they would come off.
