The drive home was quiet, a comfortable silence. You watched the trees pass by and others cars as the truck speeds down the road.
Embry decides to break the silence "so uh...any plans for tommorow?" He says trying not to sound too interested.
"I'll probably just stay at home and get myself mentally prepared for school." I say.
"Oh right, you're gonna be joining high school, right?" He asks.
"Yup, im kinda worried. It's my first time going to school.....I've been homeschooling my entire life,"
He looks at you surprised. "Really? Wow, I didn't know"
I smile "yea I'll be joining with Bella."
Oh, so I won't see you around then, I go to a different school." he says, trying to hide his disappointment.
The truck rolled into my driveway and he turns the ignition off. I take my keys out of my bag before saying "thanks for the ride Bry, it was nice talking to you."
He nods and gives me a small smile "see you around?" He asks. "Yea....see you Bry." I return his smile before walking to my porch and unlocking the door. I step inside and hear the truck start and drive off.
The house is silent and empty, my mothers off on some business meeting and my dad was never in my life, I go into the kitchen and get a cup of water before plopping myself down on the couch.
I take out my phone scrolling through my socials when a notification pops up
Unknown number: hey yue, its me embry I hope you don't mind jake gave me your number so we could keep in contact.
I smile at his sheepishness before typing out a response
You: no its totally fine Bry this way we can get to know each other more.
He replies and a short conversation starts, after a while embry has to go do something so I take that as my time to head upstairs and shower.
I go into the bathroom and prepared to take a shower and do my nighttime routine.
After a while I step out the bathroom, steam fogging up the mirror as I walk towards my room.

I get dressed in a old white tee and shorts before plopping on my bed and reading a book, I do not realise when I fall asleep

The next morning, I wake up and decide to clean up the house, I go down to the kitchen and see a note my mother left,
:Yue, please forgive me it is another late day for me. Do not wait for me.
I sigh in disappointment, we were supposed to hang out tonight but I understood how hard she was working to maintain us financially. I couldn't blame her.
I spent most of the day cleaning and tidying the house, around late afternoon I sat down to take a rest. I spent the rest of the day reading and getting up to warm my mothers lasagna she left for me
The weekend passed uneventful and slow.
But still before I knew it Monday had come around and I had school.
I was sitting in the kitchen eating a piece of toast when I heard a knock on my door. I opened it and there was Embry
Smiling nervously before saying "I figured i could drop you to school for your first day."
I smiled brightly "oh Bry you didn't need to do that im sure it was out of your way"
He shrugs and says "I wanted to."
I nodded and said "let me grab my bag."

I couldn't help but feel a pang of nervousness in my stomach as we entered the school parking lot in gripped my bag tightly not noticing it
Embry gave me a reassuring smile and said "it'll be alright im sure everything will be fine." I nodded and stepped out the truck i glimpsed a sleek silver car parked and i took a note of it.
I walked in and I was immediately nervous again but I headed to the office to get my schedule.
The office lady was kind and gave me directions to my first class, as I stepped in the teacher looked from the board and smiled at me "ah you must be Yueliang Jiang, the new student hm there's an empty seat by the window next to Edward" He pointed off in the direction of this person named Edward.
I thanked the teacher and walked over to the table and sitting down i nodded at the boy and smiled "hi im yueliang"
He nodded back and gave me a small smile about to introduce himself before his body language changed and he became tense and his face changed into an unreadable one I looked up and saw that Bella had entered.  We must have the same classes. I thought to myself. The lesson passed by fairly quickly and as soon as we were dismissed Edward bolted out the classroom. I thought to myself 'weird'
The next class was calculus and even though I hated math I got through the class easy enough and soon enough it was lunch.
The bell rang and I headed to the cafeteria I entered and grabbed a juice box and sat at a empty table not feeling hungry I scanned the room and saw 5 breathtakingly beautiful beings and I only realised how pretty Edward actually was. They were sitting at one table staring holes into a girls head looking very intrigued,  I realised that girl was Bella, I felt uncomfortable for her, the first day and a bunch of strangers staring at her, but she was sitting with a group of people i recognised from our class I didn't bother to remember their names. I was glad she was able to make friends.
Suddenly I felt a gaze upon me and I looked to see the short haired girl looking at me with mild intrest i looked down as the blonde male sitting next to her glanced at me. "Why was i scared THEY were the ones staring. " I thought to myself. I ignored the feeling of their eyes and tried my best to be invisible the bell rang  and I got up for my classes.

Before I knew it the school day was over and I was waiting at the parking lot for Embry
When I saw his truck appear I quickly started walking to him.
I quickly noticed the  group I jad seen at lunch earlier who I had found out were the Cullens staring at me standing next to the sleek silver car as I got into the truck with Embry I couldn't help but feel they looked almost.....distasteful towards embry.
