Wistful tunes sleep in my mind
Soulful melodies in my heart
They give me life that I cannot
But killing like a poison dart

I have a yearning yet to flee
To the place that calls me home
Where I can still and silent be
And forever on my mountain roam

Speaking to the rocky winds
And singing with the icy streams
Chasing the moon till nighttime ends
Then lie with lions in sunny beams

My bare feet digging into the mud
Fishing from the flowing river
Smelling sweet the springtime buds
Wandering now and forever

Growing amongst nature's song
Living happy among the best
Of creation; till I'm gone
And always in Gods good hands rest
