Rebels.
It had been three months since Ezra had joined the Inquisitor and the Imperials. In that space of time, he'd learnt many things about the Force and had made extreme progress with his training. And none of those Force abilities, in many people's opinions, were good. He could now wield a Lightsaber, move objects with the Force, rearrange thoughts, communicate telepathically and preform controlled Force jumps. He'd been sent on several simple missions assigned to him by the Inquisitor, they usually consisted in 'persuasion' of certain people in the Imperial government. In Ezra's opinion, it was nothing compared to what his Master and Agent Kallus were doing.
<Present time>
The 'Liberation' glided slowly through space above Lothal as a black clad figure stood and stared into space.
"Apprentice," said a voice behind him.
"Yes, Master?" asked the figure as he turned to face the Inquisitor.
"We've intercepted a transmission from a troublesome group of rebels on Lothal," said the Inquisitor. "They are going to attack an Imperial warehouse. I need you to go there and stop them by any means necessary. Do you understand?"
"Yes Master," said Ezra, as he turned and walked towards the hanger.
"Failure is not an option."
<Time skip to the warehouse>
Ezra had slipped into the warehouse without being detected by anyone. He remained in the roof of the building and waited for the rebels. He heard the shouts of troopers outside and knew that the rebels had arrived. Vaulting over the railing that surrounded the walkway up in the roof, Ezra landed lightly on the floor and slipped behind several large containers situated on the ground. Moments later, the door slide open with a slight screech and three figures rushed in. A tall human male, a teenage Mandalorian and a purple Lasart. Ezra knew their names and nothing else, it was almost as if it was removed from his mind. Ezra shook his head. The feelings he had towards these rebels Kanan, Sabine and Zeb mustn't make difference to his mission. Ezra moved his Lightsaber handle beside him as Kanan said, "Split up and find what we're looking for."
At the mention of this something, Ezra slipped out of the shadows and into the moonlight cast by the glass-like panels above him and said, "Hello, Rebels."
"Ezra?" asked Kanan.
"You guessed wrong," said Ezra, activating his red Lightsaber. "I'm no longer the Ezra you know. I am now Shadow."
Kanan suddenly seemed about to say or ask something, but Ezra gripped his Lightsaber tighter and charged at him. Kanan pulled out two separate parts from his utility belt, connected them and activated the blue-bladed Lightsaber. Their Lightsabers connected, sparking a purple colour. Ezra jumped back slightly and went into attack again, but had to move out of the way of Zeb's Bo-Rifle. Reacting quickly, Ezra pushed Zeb back with the Force and he went flying into the warehouse wall. Sabine rushed over to Zeb and, after seeing he was just slightly stunned, tossed several explosives at Ezra's feet. The explosives went off and Ezra was flung backwards where he smacked his head on the ground. A few pained moans escaped his lips, but he got up again and ran at Kanan again.
Their Lightsabers clashed again and seeing an opportunity, Ezra Force pushed Kanan back into the wall and advanced on the now dazed figure. The only thing in his way was the blaster fire from Sabine and Zeb. Stopping his advances on the dazed Kanan, Ezra used the Force to swipe Sabine and Zeb off their feet. Sensing Kanan had come up behind him, Ezra ducked Kanan's punch and went to hit him back but tripped over Zeb's out stretched leg. Ezra toppled backwards and smacked his head hard on the ground, rendering him barely conscious.
"Well, he's now dealt with," said Sabine, her words barely registering in Ezra's mind.
"Yeah," said Zeb.
"Let's grab what we came for," said Kanan. "And we'll take the kid with us."
"But he just tried to kill us!" exclaimed Zeb, angrily.
"I know, I know," replied Kanan. "But we can't just leave him here either."
"Fine," groaned Zeb knowing that they'd probably regret this decision later.
Ezra then slipped into complete unconsciousness.
Kanan, Sabine and Zeb found the two crates they were looking for and grabbing Ezra, headed back to the Ghosts.
Once they'd entered the Ghost, Hera took off before going down to the hull.
"What happened in there?" asked Hera. "You said this was a routine op."
Hera had not yet seen Ezra lying on the floor.
Ezra then murmured something in his sleep and Hera looked past the crew and saw Ezra.
"Spill it," she said, directing her gaze at Kanan.
