Peter
———
When Peter first woke up he felt himself being pressed up against something warm. Peter, being half asleep, which he found kind of odd as he never actually slept, didn't really think about what that warm.... thing was, he just focused on how that thing actually made him feel safe and peaceful, that was until he realized that that thing was breathing. He felt and heard the deep, rhythmic pattern of someone fast asleep breathing.
Peter's eyes shot open as he gasped and desperately pushed the thing away from himself. Once he deemed that he was free, he began to drag himself away with adhesive/sticking hands and fingers. His fingers clung to the carpet as he dragged himself away. This happened in about the span of 4 seconds. Peter, who forgot where he was, was frantically looking around the room for something, anything, that would show him where he was.
Peter didn't realize it at first, but he started hyperventilating, which just made his anxiety worse. He was scared out of his mind. Peter flinched when, what he could only assume was the thing, grabbed his upper arms. Peter squeezed his eyes shut waiting for his impending doom when he heard the thing speak.
"Hey! Hey Spidey! Hey! Calm down it's just me, Tony Stark!" Tony said in a loud, panicked voice, shaking him slightly. Peter forced himself to open his eyes and look at Tony. Only when he was sure it was in fact Tony and not some cyclops that could change its voice and take someone else's memories, did he start to calm down. "Ok, now deep breaths, in..... and out.... in..... and out." Tony said, breathing in and out in an attempt to calm him down. Peter started to breath with him and started to calm down. He took in one more gulp of air before he ask a simple, breathy question. "What?!?!"

Tony
——-
Tony was having a pleasant dream about something that he would not remember when he woke up. At first, Tony didn't realize what the cause of his sudden awakening was until he noticed the odd position he was in. His right elbow was on the ground, his left arm was over his head, his left leg was tucked under himself, and his right leg was in a one legged straddle. He quickly moved into a more comfortable sitting position and looked in front of him and notice that Spider-Man was freaking out again. He must have shoved Tony away from himself when he woke up. That would explain the odd position Tony woke up in.
Tony quickly got up and ran over to the poor man and grabbed his arms, turning him towards himself. He urgently started talking to him in an attempt to calm him down.
Tony wasn't prepared for the mans simple question. "What?!?!" The man asked in a winded voice. Tony blinked. "What.... what?" Tony asked stupidly, completely confused. The masked man cocked his head to the left slightly. "What?" He asked in a confused voice. "W-what?" Tony stuttered before he shook his head. "You know what?" He asked the still confused vigilante. "What?" He asked slowly. "I'm just gonna leave now." Tony stated as he stood up and briskly walked towards the door.

Confused Pete
—————-
After their confusing conversation, Peter just stared dumbly at Tony as he quickly walked towards the open door. The sound of Tony closing the door shook Peter out of his stupor.
Peter raised his arm in the direction of Tony. "Wait!" He called in an attempt to make the older male the man come back. Tony reluctantly poked his head back through the door, one eyebrow raised. The man obviously don't want to ask, what, again. Peter self-consciously lowered his hand and immediately wished he hadn't said anything. He was still very uncomfortable around the Avengers. They absolutely terrified him. Peter swallowed and took a deep breath, calming himself. He knew he had to ask Tony this question. "Why.... were you...um... holding me?" Peter asked in a slightly embarrassed and very scared voice. Tony stood there for a moment before sighing and reluctantly walking in the room.
"Last night, J.A.R.I.V.S. alerted me to the fact that you had a nightmare. I wasn't going to do anything until he mentioned that it had turned into a very sever panic attack. I have had my fair share of those and knew how bad some can get. So I decided to come over here to calm you down and what not. It was worse than I originally thought so I... well... ya' know..." Tony stated awkwardly as he avoided eye contact with the mans hidden eyes. Realization dawned on him as he remembered that horrible nightmare, Tony tried to help him.

Both of them
————
The two sat in an awkward silence for a few moments before Peter said something that shocked Tony. "Thank you." Tony looked up at him stunned before he answered. "No problem." He said, still shocked. Peter then cleared his throat. "Could you um... ya' know..." Peter asked quietly as he motioned towards the wheelchair. Tony just dumbly stood there staring at Peter. The man never talked to them, let alone ask them for help.
Peter, thinking Tony didn't want to help him, quickly mumbled, "sorry, that was stupid to ask," as he looked away. This pulled Tony out of his shocked daze. "No! No, of course I'll help you." Tony told him. Peter looked up at him. Peter watched Tony as he wheeled Chuck over.
Tony then hesitantly walked over to Peter. He started to grab under his arms to heft him into the chair that way when the man hissed quietly in pain. Tony immediately let go. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Guess my shoulder wasn't completely healed." Peter mumbled, moving it around to help ease the pain. "What do you mean 'not completely healed'?" Tony asked without thinking. "Oh... um Cap uh.... kinda dislocated it" Peter said quietly in an unassured voice. "Oh." Tony said, his tone matching Peter's.
The two, again, sat in an awkward silence, only this time, Tony broke the ice. "So how am I going to get you into the chair?" Tony asked trying to figure out how to un-awkwardly move the paralyzed man. Spidey just shrugged. "Bridal?" He suggested. "Alright." Tony said with a shrug. Tony scooped him up, he was surprised at how light the man was, and he placed him in the chair gently. "Thanks." Peter said gratefully. Tony just nodded.
Peter started to wheel himself towards the door when Tony came up behind him and started to push it for him. Neither of them said anything as Peter began to relax and Tony pushed him through the labyrinth like hallways.

Peter
——-
Even though Peter was thankful for the help, he still felt uncomfortable with being around Tony this much. The man still scared him. Peter figured that cooperating with him was was the least he could do for his help, so Peter just relaxed and let Tony wheel him.
Peter didn't really think about where they were going until they were almost there. "Um.. where are we going?" He asked nervously. Tony smirked, "Nowhere, just relax." Tony replied. This just made Peter even more nervous, but he did as he was told. He leaned back again, still on edge. The situation made Peter think about his nightmare and about how his uncle shot him. This just scared Peter more.
After a few more minutes, they arrived at a familiar set of doors. Peter's eyes widened in slight terror as he realized where they were. The main living room. "Why are we here!?" Peter asked fearfully. "To eat." Tony said calmly. Tony smirked as Peter looked over his shoulder at him.
Peter didn't say anything as he was pushed towards the kitchen/bar that was to the right of the sitting area. The rest of the Avengers stopped what they were doing then they heard the two approach them. "Good morning beautiful, and Spider-Man." Clint said mockingly and Tony just ruled his eyes. "Shut up Katniss." Tony replied in an annoyed voice.
Peter looked up at the clock completely ignoring everyone. It read, 11:48. Peter stayed silent as Tony wheeled him over to the table where everyone, except for Tony and Steve, were sitting. Tony wheeled him to the head of the table where no one else was. He then seated himself across the table from Clint. Peter then silently looked around at everyone as they resumed whatever they were doing before he and Tony had arrived. Natasha, Bruce, and Clint were talking about Colorado or something, Steve was cooking, Peter found it odd that the Super Solider was cooking, and Tony was telling Steve what he wanted for breakfast. Peter looked at Tony when he asked him what he wanted. Peter just stared at him before looking straight ahead, staring directly at the wall in front of him.
Tony, noticing that he wasn't going to get an answer, answered for him. "And he'll take eggs and bacon." Steve nodded and continued cooking. Peter stayed silent as Natasha, Bruce, and Clint told Tony about the mission they went on. He stayed silent as Steve handed out the food and glasses of orange juice. He stayed silent as everyone began eating and as Steve joined their conversation.
Everyone had forgotten that Peter was there until Clint expertly flung some scrambled eggs at him. Everyone went silent as Peter slowly looked over at Clint, who smirking at him. Peter just stared at Clint as Steve started to talk. "Really Barton?" He asked annoyed. "What!?"Clint asked in an annoying tone, acting like he hadn't done anything. "Please don't fling food at our guests." Steve said, his anger slowly rising. "Guest!?" Clint asked in disbelief. "He is not our guest! He is only here because you felt bad about injuring him! He should be in a cell right now on board the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier! He's a threat! He should not be..." "ENOUGH!" Steve yelled as he slammed his hind down on the table, causing Peter to flinch. No one seemed to notice him though. "No more Barton!" Steve yelled angrily. "Why?! Because the Mighty Captain America said so?" Clint yelled angrily. The Captain was about to say something when Natasha interrupted them. "Stop it! You two are acting like children!"she snapped. "Now sit down so that the rest of us can enjoy our breakfast!" The two men huffed and went back to eating. Peter was surprised by how quickly everyone moved on. Natasha was scary. He wondered how often arguments like that happened.
He was pulled from his thoughts when someone sat next to him. He looked to his left to see Bruce. "You should probably eat." Bruce said gently. When Peter shook his head, Bruce insisted. "It would help you heal faster." Bruce told him. Sighing in defeat, Peter slowly rolled his mask above his nose. He reluctantly took a bite of his eggs. Bruce smiled slightly and started to eat with him. Peter would never admit it, but he was starving and was glad to be eating. He scarfed down his food. "Wow. Guess you were hungry." Bruce said simply. Peter smiled a bit at this, causing Bruce to smile too.
Suddenly, Tony gasped. "He's smiling!" He feigning shock. Peter frowned as everyone looked at him again, and he quickly rolled his mask back down. Peter looked down at his lap as Bruce glared at Tony. "I'll go get you more to eat." He told him, ignoring everyone else. Peter just stayed silent. Bruce came back a few minutes later with a bowl of fruit and some yogurt. "Here, eat this." Bruce said gently. Peter just shook his head. Bruce understood his reluctance and frowned. "Can I take you somewhere?" He asked him gently. Peter shrugged and Bruce stood up.
He handed Peter the food and started pushing him towards the main sitting area, where the couches, chairs, tv, ect. were. Instead of stopping, Bruce kept going. He took him to the giant windows and stopped. He then walked back to the table and grabbed a chair. He position it next to Peter and sat down. When Peter looked at him, Bruce explained his actions. "I can't take you outside, it's to dangerous, so I thought that this was the next best thing." Bruce said. Peter was about to thank him when he stopped. "What do you mean dangerous?" He asked slowly. Bruce looked at him a little surprised. "Um... well the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. is starting to suspect that we are hiding you here and these windows are one way." Bruce told him. Peter frowned. "Then why not turn me into them. Won't you get in trouble if I'm found here?" Peter asked, slightly concerned. Bruce opened his mouth to reply before closing it again. "Why would you care if we got in trouble." He finally asked. "Well.... why would I want you guys to get punished over me? Sure I don't trust you guys and sure you hurt me, but that doesn't mean you should get punished for having me here. I'm not worth that." Peter said just loud enough for the rest of the Avengers to here. Bruce just stayed quiet for a minute. He sighed before he spoke again. "You should eat those." Bruce said point to the food Peter was holding, not wanting to push him anymore.
Peter looked down at the food. He set it on his lap and sighed. Peter rolled his mask back up and ate the food. He and Bruce then just sat in a comfortable silence watching the traffic below them.

Bruce and Peter sat by the window for hours, completely ignoring the other Avengers. Around 2:30 Bruce decided that Peter should eat again. Peter didn't argue with him. He was really hungry and he somewhat trusted Bruce.
Peter ate six sandwiches before he followed Bruce back to his lab. Bruce didn't mind Peter watching him as he tried to find a solution for Peter's paralysis. Peter kind of enjoyed watching Bruce work. He was a huge science nerd after all, and Bruce was one of his hero's.
Peter stayed in the lab until 11:30. He started to get tired and Bruce insisted that he should go to bed. He said that the rest would help Peter heal.
As Peter followed J.A.R.V.I.S.'s instructions on how to get back to his room, a feeling of dread began to grow in Peter's stomach. He kept thinking about his nightmare and was afraid to sleep. When Peter finally got to his room, he reluctantly pulled himself onto the bed and tried to go to sleep. It didn't take long for him to fall asleep though. His body need a lot of food and rest for his healing factor to work.
Peter, for once, slept peacefully that night.

With the Avengers.
—————
The Avengers were all silent as Bruce took Spidey to the floors large, one way windows. They ate in silence eavesdropping on their short conversation. They were surprised that the man actually talked to Bruce. They were even more surprised when he explained to Bruce why he he didn't want them to get in trouble with S.H.I.E.L.D.
After hearing his reason, the team sat in silence. They all made a silent agreement to go to another room to talk, not wanting him to hear their conversation.
Once they made it to the meeting room on that floor they all sat down. The room was huge. It had beige walls, white floors, a giant, glass table in the center surrounded by black chairs and floor to ceiling windows on the far wall. The window could be darkened incase they wanted more privacy. The table was also a hollow table. Images and videos could be pulled up as holograms above it.
The team sat in silence they were all in deep thought. Tony was the first to speak. "He let me help him earlier. And when I did, something was off. He was really light for an adult." The team sat in silence once more digesting this information. After a few minutes, someone finally spoke. "Does he really think that lowly of himself?" Clint asked quietly, braking the silence. "No he's just that selfless." Tony stated.
Clint looked down in shame. "God, I'm a horrible person!" He grumbled shamefully. Natasha sighed. "No your not Clint. You were just angry about how the mission went and you accidentally took it out on Spider-Man. We were all off of our game today." The others all nodded in agreement. During their mission that morning, Fury had send four agents with them to the Hydra base. Only the Avengers made it out. They got cocky and the agents had payed the price. Clint had taken it especially hard because he wasn't completely focused and missed some of the Hydra Agents.
The team sat in a depressing silence. "You have a call from Director Fury Sir." J.A.R.V.I.S. Said suddenly. Not a moment later did a hologram of Fury pop up above to table. "What do you want Patchy?" Tony asked whilst massaging his temples. Fury ignored him and addressed the team. "Listen up Avengers. I have a new mission for you." Once he was sure he had everyone's attention, he continued. "Harry Osborn, aka the Green Goblin has escaped for Ravencroft along with Aleksei Sytsevich, aka the Rhino, and Doctor Otto Octavius, aka Doc Ock. I need you guys to find them and bring them in. Fury, out." And with that, he was gone. "All right team. We need to start searching for them. Natasha and Clint, you guys can search the streets. Stark, see if you can find any leads on them. I will help Nat and Clint. If anyone finds them, let us know. Everyone got it? Let's go." Everyone stood up and went to do their assigned tasks.

Morning with Pete
—————
When Peter woke up, he was relieved that he was in his bed and not on the ground being cuddled by an unknown persons. He looked at the clock on the bedside table to his left and noticed that it was 8:38 A.M. Peter sighed contentedly. He got a lot of sleep for once, it was refreshing. He then proceeded to look out of the window to his right to look at the sunrise.
The golden morning light streamed through the waking city, making the buildings' windows sparkle. Peter smiled slightly at the sight of the glowing buildings. New York was beautiful in the morning. Peter then stretched and kicked his blankets off of his legs. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and was about to grab the Shoobydooby Steamroller when he froze. He just moved his legs..... he just moved his legs!! Peter was over joyed.
Peter took a deep breath and slipped the rest of the way off of the bed. He laughed out loud when his legs supported him instead of collapsing like cooked noodles. Sure they were shaky, but He was standing! He took another deep breath as he slid his right leg forwards. He started putting pressure on his leg when it gave out. He unceremoniously fell to the ground with a small yelp. "Ok, not ready for walking then." He mumbled. He slowly pushed himself back up and pulled Chuck towards himself. He flopped in the chair and happily wheeled to the door. He wheeled into the hallway and went to find Bruce.
