General POV
—-4—-4—-4—-
Nick Fury sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance. "How is it that four of the Earths mightiest hero's managed to loose one small and inexperienced arachnid themed vigilante?" He asked slowly. "He took us by surprise sir. We weren't expecting him to get back up from his fall. He jumped up and hit us with his webs. He then sucker punched Steve. When Clint...." Natasha started but was interrupted by Fury, " I know all of that Ramanoff." Fury said annoyed, "Everyone does". The four assembled Avengers, Tony, Cap, Natasha, and Clint, looked at each other in confusion. Fury sighed and told one of them to check online. Tony pulled up some holo screens and looked for trending stuff. He found the video of them attacking Spider-Man. They all tried to show no emotion, they didn't want to give themselves away, whilst watching the video.

They told Fury that Spider-Man had gotten away. Cap had felt guilty for injuring him and wanted to help him. It took awhile to convince his teammates to not turn him in and even longer to convince Natasha to lie to her boss, Nick, but eventually she did. Why? She does not know. Clint, of course, agreed right away with lying to Nick.

Fury waited silently for the video to end. "I want him found." Fury commanded  before abruptly ending the call. The team stood in an awkward silence for a few moments. "This isn't going to end well."Natasha said evenly before leaving their main living area.

With my little Petey Pie (I'm so freakin weird)
——————
Peter sat quietly on the edge of one of the multiple tables in Bruce's lab, his feet dangling uselessly below him. He had agreed to let Bruce, and Bruce alone, work on a way to help his back heal faster. Even though Peter had a healing factor, his back was taking a while to heal because his body was trying to heal the other wounds. Bruce was trying to create some kind of brace that would move his legs for him. Peter, personally, thought this was a stupid idea. The brace would have to,
a. Be connected to his brain, which was pretty much impossible or
b. He would have to control them remotely, which was an even worse idea, as controlling them remotely would be harder than moving them in their paralyzed state. He can multitask well, just not that well.

After twenty minutes of silently staring at the wall, this seemed to happen a lot, Peter discreetly looked over at what the doctor was doing. "That won't work." Peter stated calmly and simply, looking at the design for one of the braces. "What?" Was all Bruce said. "The brace. It won't work." Peter said again. "Why?" Was, again, all Bruce could come up with. Peter sighed and began to elaborate. "The only way to get a brace like this to work it is by getting it to somehow connect to by brain and/or thoughts so that it would move too and when I want it to. You could also make it controllable by remote, but what if I lost the remote? What if I was focusing on something else? It wouldn't work." Bruce just stared at him, mouth slightly agape, dumbfounded. He stared to say something when Peter interrupted him, "Easy doc, don't strain yourself." With that, Peter flopped back into his wheelchair and wheeled away, leaving a shocked Bruce behind him.
———————————————
As Peter was wheeling through the hallways when he realized something very important, he had no idea where he was. He was surrounded by tan walls. There were grey, expensive looking doors that probably cost more than his whole house. Everything looked the same!

Man, he should have payed attention to the route Dr. Banner led him on to get to the lab he was just in from "his room". Peter and his wheelchair, which he started calling , Shoobydooby steamroller (Chuck for short) wandered aimlessly around the floor, looking for anything that could help him figure out where he was. It was a big floor.

After about twenty long minutes of searching, he found a doorway that was different from the others towards the end of one of the many halls on that floor. The doorway held two doors, instead of one, they were slightly bigger, and one was slightly open. Peter, the idiot that he was, wheeled over to the doors fully intending to go through them. Guess what he did, he went though them. As soon as he saw what was behind them, he immediately wished he hadn't. Right there, in the middle of the room, were the........ Avengers?

Oh my dear Mightiest Hero's of Earth
——————————
Tony, Clint, and Steve were all sitting in their beloved living room. Tony was at the bar, Clint was on top of the fridge fiddling with who knows what, and Steve was on the couch drawing something on a sketch pad. It had been a good thirty minutes since their little....chat with Fury. They all just did their own thing, completely pretending that the others didn't exist, and trying to forget about their Spider-Man issues.
"Whatcha doin' Capsicle?" A slightly drunker Tony said. "Sketching" was the reply. "Come on! Tell me!" Tony whined. Steve sighed and looked up. "It is none of your business Tony." He said sternly. "Pleeasssee?" Tony whined like a toddler who wanted a toy they could not have. The captain just ignored him. Tony sat back down on his bar stool and pouted.

There was a nice, peaceful seven minutes before Tony got bored again. Said man was currently aiming a spoonful of mustard at Steve. Where he got the spoon and mustard, no one knows. Then, Tony made a stupid mistake, he launched the mustard.

Tony watched the mustard launch through the air. To him, it took awhile to reach its intended target, but in reality, it only took a few seconds. The yellow blob flew in a slight arc, loosing some of it's self along the way. Tony watched, eyes wide as the mustard hit the Captain's sketch pad. Clint, hearing the odd sound of mustard hitting paper, looked up and paled. "Oh, hey Cap! Didn't see you there! Let me clean that up for you!" Tony said hurriedly, trying to save himself. Tony started to make his way over to Steve with a rag.

Steve didn't move.
Tony started to reach over to wipe off the mustard.
Steve didn't move.
Tony wiped off the mustard.
Steve didn't move.
As soon as Tony saw what was on the paper, he dropped the rag and ran.
Steve moved.
It was a picture of Peggy.

Steve jumped up so fast, his sketch pad hit the floor after he started to move forward slowly. "CLINTY!! HELP MEEE!!" Tony screeched in fear as he backed up away from the enraged super soldier. "Uh uh! I'm not getting in the way of Cap when he's angry!" IT WASN'T NICE KNOWING YOU TONY!!" Clint yelled as he jumped up and crawled through the vents.

When Tony looked back at Steve, he screamed and tried to back up. Steve was two feet in front of him. In the few seconds Tony was distracted,  Steve had covered the distance between them. His hand shot out and grabbed Tony by the shirt and pulled him towards himself. When Tony was a few inches from Steve's face, Steve threw him. Tony yelled as he flew through the air. He, sadly, landed on the couch, unharmed. Tony looked down at the floor as Steve slowly walked over to him. He had an idea.

Tony rolled onto the floor and knelt down. This head was face down on the floor and his hands were palms down stretched out in front of him. Steve stopped, confused. "What are you found Stark?" Steve asked slowly, clearly trying to suppress his anger. "Umm, begging?" Tony questioned more than asked. Steve was about to say something when they heard the sound of metal scraping against wood. They both looked over at the doors to their right, seeing Spidey in his wheelchair sitting there watching them.

Pete? Is that you??
—————-
What peter saw shocked him. He saw everything, the mustard, Clint ditching, Tony's little "flight", and Tony begging. To say that what happened was weird, was an understatement. Peter had no idea what to think.

Peter's mind decided to come back to reality when he noticed Steve was walking towards him. Fearing he would be punished for watching them, or they would try to talk to him, or something, he tried to backup into the hallway he had just come from. He quickly decided that it was easier to leave the room backwards than making a large arc around the room to turn to get through properly.

Peter was about halfway through the door when something stopped him. "Hey! Wait!" Steve yelled, all anger forgotten, as he lunged forward, intending to grab the wheelchair. Peter panicked and tried to jump back. He forgot he couldn't walk and Shoobydooby steamroller tipped over backwards. Peter made an odd, strangled sound as he fell. He waved his arms around in a sad attempt to catch himself, but failed. He fell hard.

Steve got up to see if Spider-Man was ok, or if he would like to join them. The man never spoke to any of them, except for Bruce, and even then, he rarely spoke to him. He also hadn't eaten anything for the time he had been there. Steve was starting to get slightly worried about his health. "I say let him starve" was what Clint had said when he brought it up at one of the teams dinners. Clint  really did not like him. As they all know, Clint only volunteered to watch him that first night to keep an eye on him. "I don't trust him." Was what Clint had said.

When Steve saw Spidey start to leave, he jumped forward on an impulse planning to stop him. Steve didn't realize that his sudden movement and shout would startle the poor man. As soon as Steve saw his wheelchair tip over, he jumped forward, again, in the hopes of catching it. He missed. There was the muffled thump of a body hitting big the floor and then nothing. Steve started to move forward to see if the red and blue vigilante was ok.
—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—
When Peter hit the ground, he hit it hard. He couldn't find the strength to groan, so he just stayed still. He, for some reason, had forgotten why he was on the ground, but immediately remembered when he saw Steve lumbering towards him. Poor Peter started to have a mini panic attack. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Peter mumbled over and over again. He thought Steve was mad at him for watching them. He was convinced they would do something terrible to him like they had before. He desperately tried to drag himself away from Steve when the tall, muscular man didn't stop. Peter kept trying to drag himself away. Then, he heard a loud clang!, and tried to crawl faster.
—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—
Steve started to move towards the downed vigilante when he started mumbling something just loud enough for people without super hearing to hear. Steve, a little slow on the uptake, kept moving forward, intending to help him. He finally stopped an air vent grate fell in front of him. "Steve! Stop!" Clint commanded as he landed in front of Steve.
—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—
Clint was in the vents watching the entire scene. He watched from the time he left the kitchen for the safety of the air vents to when Spidey started panicking. Sure, he didn't like, nor trust the man, but he didn't want him to die of a heart attack. Clint wasn't going to to anything, thinking Steve would stop, until he noticed that Steve didn't stop. He quickly realized what was going to happen and jumped in front of Steve. He commanded him to stop. Steve's face turned from one of concern to one of confusion. "Why?" The Captain asked dumbly. "Because Steve, just look at him. The man is scared out of his mind!" After a few seconds, understanding dawned on Steve's face. His face then morphed into one of complete shame.
—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—
When Steve realized how scared the man was, he felt so ashamed of himself for not realizing it. "I'm so sorry. I don't know." He said to Spider-Man, trying to apologize. The man just sat there hyperventilating.
—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—
Peter wanted to curl into a ball in die, but he couldn't because HIS FREAKING LEGS WOULDN'T MOVE PARTIALLY BECAUSE OF THE MAN COMING TOWARDS HIM!!!
—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—
Steve backed up and almost tripped over the flipped wheelchair. He picked it back up and pushed it to Spidey.
—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—•—
Peter calmed down a bit when the chair on wheels bumped into him. He looked behind it to make sure the bad men weren't waiting to pounce on him. Finally excepting he was safe, for now, he climbed back in. "Son, why were you apologizing?" Steve called to the retreating form. Spidey stopped but didn't turn around. "I was afraid." Was his response. He wheeled away to quickly for them to ask anymore questions.
