How's Everything?
"I'll take care of the trailer, Riki wants to speak with the three of you, though." Yuki said once the three had returned back to camp. After being almost robbed of their trailer and car of the town's owner, the one they passed days before, they hurriedly returned home.
But now that town knew that Maiko and Juro were part of the Foxes, seeing as they had accidentally dropped the make up Hiro lent them on the way back. Meaning, they couldn't disguise Kenshi.
"Alright. Be careful." Kenshi nods and hops out of the car and walks to the fire pit or 'meeting spot', where the Foxes always had their meetings. Sure enough, Riki was there, waiting for the three as told.
"What'd you need, Leader?" Kenshi asked, sitting on one of the chairs, facing the ravenette. The mother and son follow suit and sit in front of him.
"You fixed the antenna correct?" Riki asked, looking at them with sharp eyes. They all nod. He smirks, "Yeah, I already knew. Takuto was able to tap into some government announcement. The military'll be rolling through soon to clear some walkers and pick up some scientists or people who had experience with medicine soon."
"Are they going to pick up groups to shelter?" Juro asked, looking a bit too hopeful.
Riki sighed and frowned, "Nope. They said that the shelters were full right now for some damn reason, though, I'm pretty sure that they just don't want to get rid of supplies."
"You said they're coming to get medicine experienced people. You gonna hand over the Kujos?" Maiko asked, looking to the leader, who scrunches his nose and furrows his brows angrily.
"They got news of the Kujos being here, but I ain't giving them shit. I'll just tell 'em that they ditched and hopefully, they'll take it." Riki answered. "I don't want to take chances. Especially if someone gets injured, our closest to a doctor would be Kenshi. But I don't think he knows how to properly stitch up a wound."
"So what do we do if the military comes by and looks inside?"
"We're not letting them in. I don't trust them," Riki growls. "Even if they're the government. I'd rather be here and just with the Foxes. I'm not letting those bastards just take away member of our team."
"Good choice." Maiko nods, getting up. "I don't think you want to lose me and Juro either, hopefully."
"What do you mean?" "I heard from a few campers on the way back that not only is the military looking for recruits to find a cure, but also new sharpshooters. I used to work for the government, an Interpol Agent. They know me, I'm sure."
"What do you mean Juro as well?" Kenshi questioned, looking at her son. "They knew Juro as well. My husband worked for the government before as an engineer. Juro used to tag along with both of us whenever we visited since his crush was always there."
"M-MOM!" Juro stuttered, blushing beet red as his mother bought up the topic of his first love.
"How did you get a job as detective so early?" Riki asked sceptically. "I was moved up and graduated early."
"Anyway, who was she, Juro?" Kenshi skips that topic and decides to tease the boy a little.
"No one!" Juro shouted, still red. But then his mother interferes with a small smirk. "Her name was Mari, she was the daughter of a co worker of mine."
"Oh, what was she like?" Riki joined, looking to the boy, who covered his ears and blushed even more. "NO!" "Haha, she was the same age as him, a few months younger than my son, though."
"Mom! Don't tell them that!" "What's wrong? It's not like-" "Tell us more, Maiko." Kenshi says, making Maiko smile.
"She was a pretty girl, a bright future ahead of her. She was from a upper-middle class family. Intelligent girl, top of her class constantly. She was a kind, nice and innocent girl. But she wasn't too overbearing that she had to be explained to about some things."
"Agh!" Juro shouted out and ran off, still flushed red. He entered the cabin, perhaps to get something to eat from Atsumu. The three busted out laughing for a few moments before standing up.
"Alright, that's enough. I'm tired as all hell, haven't gotten a decent sleep in a while." Maiko says, yawning as she stretched. "The three of us bought a couple of good things you might like. There's a ton of supplies in the trailer as well."
"Trailer?' Riki asked, shocked. "Yeah, we found a working one in the woods by the tower, lugged it back with a car we found too. Ton of gas canisters in the trailer along with some food, water, weapons, medical supplies. There might be some clothes that'll fit one of your members."
"That much?" "That was just in the trailer's bedroom cabins. There were a bunch of unused, unopened toothbrush and toothpaste packs. Some cleaning products and stuff. In the kitchen, there's even more food and drinks so yeah, have fun with that. There's also wine and beer there too. A running fridge as well."
"Damn, that's a good find." "Yeah, we'll have fun with that, huh?" she chuckled and disappeared into the apartment building their camp was based around. The two men stared after her before having a short conversation and leaving.

That night, after dinner and evening roll call, everyone went to bed. Juro was asleep, and so were the rest of the Foxes. Biting her lip, Maiko picked up her bag and left the letter underneath Juro's sheets, where he knew he would find it the next morning, seeing as he was such a clean freak when it comes to stuff in the morning.
She hasn't actually done this in a while...
She quietly creaked the door open. She had tossed her backpack, with all her weapons and equipment out their apartment window already, meaning it was downstairs underneath their window. All she had to do was sneak out.
She was about to walk off when a deep voice behind her called. "Hey," she turned to see Riki, frowning slightly with confused eyes. "Where're you going?"
"Outside." she answered shortly. "Why?" "Just need some fresh air. I do this every night, don't worry."
"Alright..." "What are you even doing out of bed yourself?" She noticed he wasn't in pajamas like he usually would be when he goes to sleep.
"Just wanted to walk around the camp for air." "Oh, okay." The two left the building together. After going outside, Riki went to the back of the building to 'check' on something. Maiko didn't object.
Once he was out of sight, she grabbed her bag and jacket and scaled the gates of their camp, leaving through the thin woods ahead, making sure not to make more noise than necessary.
Once she was out of sight, Riki sighed as he grabbed his back pack and scaled the back fence of their camp, heading in the same direction. In the distance, just ways behind the camp, was a little hill.
He quickly made his way over, avoiding all the walks on the way.
Atop the hill was a wooden cross, signing someone's grave. Surprisingly, there were still blooming flowers, which were not trampled just yet. It was a bunch of roses and lilies.
Riki pulled out the bottle of water from his bag and sprinkled it on the plants, sitting beside the grave as he looked up to the rising moon.
"How's everything right now, Ibuki?"

Traveling ways from camp, out of Sanyu town, Maiko returned to her home town through the Survivor Smugglers, who, thankfully, work into the night.
Sneaking past raiders' camps and new 'homes', she makes her way back to the school by the end of the village. Tiptoeing into the yard of the old school, she makes her way to the back of the yard, where an old oak tree sat.
Underneath it was a cross, another grave, much like the many ones she's seen on the way. Sitting beside it, she looked up at the tree's trunk, where there were carvings in it.
One stood out the most, the words outlined in a heart.
'Y.F. + M. Y. = <3'
"How's everything, Yoshiko?"
