I AM

I am creative and quiet

I wonder about the laws of this world

I hear different voices

I see thousands of ideas

I want to succeed

I am creative and quiet

I pretend to be random characters

I feel like there is more to these proposed truths

I touch on flickers of imagination

I worry that things won't go as planned

I cry when respect and equality are not seen

I am creative and quiet

I understand that there are flaws in everything

I say that some things are simply ridiculous

I dream of the future

I try to do my best in many things

I hope that brilliant ideas will someday be brought to light

May you dance to a song,

and trip on your own feet.

May you ride an alicorn,

and get thrown in sparkly poo.

May you pet a dog,

and have it bite you.

May you perform a transmutation,

and have it rebound.

May you get a superpower,

and have it injure yourself.

Ode to Cats

Sweet, fluffy balls of goodness

stretching by the fireplace.

Curly fur, straight fur,

one eye, two eyes.

Tiny paws suspended in midair

little smiles on their fluff-bound faces.

Tails of black and white and gray

twitch like branches in the wind.

Miniature mountains of fur

rise from their overturned bellies

as they dream of their deepest desires,

which may even simply be sleeping.

They nap so sweetly,

similar to drawings of beloved characters.

Cats and characters,

all adopted children alike.

The main difference is

that one type is real.

But people will always have their opinions,

and say that such likings are not so wonderful.

But the truth can be seen,

that cats are the greatest beings on the entire freaking planet.

Future Minded

I believe in dreams

Not the kind in sleep

But the hope for the future

The goals to achieve

And success to be won

I believe in consequences

If one wishes to obtain something

Something of equal value must be paid

Good effort makes good rewards

Squander, and pay a price

I believe in a bigger picture

The way I see may be odd to some

But I seek truth in all things

I have ways to find such things

And I know they're true

But not only that,

I hope to discover more and more

Rays of light on soft couches
