You walk towards the fence that blocks off the district from the woods. Looking around to make sure no one is watching you crawl through a hole made in the fence. Once you make it on the other side you run to where your brother and sister use to take you.

As you walk and listen to the birds flying and the breeze slightly blowing the leaves around. In the distance you see a burned down cabin that would soon collapse on itself. Walking closer you hear the crunch of leaves not so far from you. Stopping and slowly turning around thinking of the punishment that will come to you.

"What are you doing here?" A muscular tall man asks as he puts the bow and arrow down while slowly walking towards you. "I needed to clear my mind, please don't hurt me." "No no I won't..." He looks at you up and down then looks at the cabin. "How'd you know that this was here?" You look over your shoulder at the cabin then back at the man.

"My siblings use to take me here before they, um." He nods and walks up to the cabin and enters it leaving you outside. Turning around you slowly follow the man into the cabin. Entering the cabin you see an array of dead squirrels and birds.

"What's your name?" "My what?" "Your name or do you not have one?" Looking over at the man who was squatting and counting the animals he killed. "{Y-y/n}." Looking at you he slightly smirked. "That's nice, I'm Gale." Nodding your head you looked down and an awkward silence spread the room.

Realizing how late it was and your dad freaking out running around the district looking for you, you decided to leave. "I uh better go, my dad must be freaking out right now." Gale slowly gets up and packs up his things. "I'll walk you." You look at him in shock. You just met the guy and he wants to walk you home? "You know just to make sure you get there safely."

You nod and the two of you walk back to your little house.

{Time skip}
You walk up to your door with Gale behind you. You turn around and give him a soft smile saying "Thank you for walking with me." He looks at you and smiles back "It's nothin." You place a hand on his chest and stand on your toes giving him a small kiss on the cheek.

You walk up to the door and open it. Before going inside you see Gale still standing there his cheeks a light pink. "Now don't think that's gonna happen often ok?" He chuckles and walks away to his house.

After the day you met Gale he goes to your house and gives you squirrels and the occasional soup. The two of you have been really close and make sure that the both of you survive.
