You watched the sad scene in front of a slight discomfort coming over you. You felt bad for Laura for the fact that she just met her dad and was now holding his dead corpse in her hands. You walked over to the smaller mutant and rested a hand on her shoulder.

"We can bury him then move as long as we make it quick." You tell her softly helping her pick up Logan's body and finding a spot to bury him.

After the hole was dug, the body was, under Laura's instructions, placed nicely, then reburied a quick moment of silence was given. After a while you both left looking for a spot to stay hidden in case any military personal were searching.

You finally decided to stay in a near by cave eating the two small rabbits that Laura had hunted as you were walking. You looked over at the girl sadly not knowing how to bring up a conversation without getting the feeling of triggering her. Also you didn't know what exactly to talk about, the lab where you both came from? The adventure that the both of you went through? The situation would have been awkward.

You stayed quiet turning your attention to the flame in front of you. A small force bumped you slightly and arms wrapped around your waist. You looked down smiling at Laura who hid her face in your side. You pulled her close giving her the comfort she needed softly rubbing her back.

The moment happened for awhile until Laura fell asleep. You laid her on the cold floor of the cave throwing your jacket and any other fabric you could use as a blanket for her. You stayed awake making sure that no one would attack. You looked through the backpack you had seeing if you had anything to use as a pillow, to which you didn't having you use your legs as the pillow.

You smiled down at the sleeping child stroking her hair letting the flame die down. Sleep slowly overcame you and ended up passed out sitting with Laura on your lap and your hand through her hair.

Sorry about the hiatus, I'm just super busy so I had a friend take over but I didn't want her to worry about riding anything. She would just respond to messages and stuff like that.
