those days

Custom advised them,
That when a man approached ,
The neck would vertically move
To echo the agreement.
They obeyed that -
I still remember that place,
As she carried her ekebuyu ,
Magnetically on her head.
Her sweet, gentle voice,
Silenced my gusto forced bass.
That gap on her teeth,
Sprayed my nostrils with breath,
Of first hand lover.
They had trained her the ways,
Of being a truly good woman.
Her laughter made the breasts,
Heave and slap her blossoming cavity.
Walking towards her home shyly,
Her round buttocks,
Reminded me of mama's calabash.
I knew she would be mine,
I knew five sons in five years-
She would them produce.
And five girls with big buttocks,
The ones suitors would want to sit on,
And travel miles without falling off.
Those were the days grandson,
Those were the days we expected,
Women to be working and obeying.
But things have changed,
The blood washed everything,
The customs are no more.
