"Why is she here?" Tony sighed.

"I don't know. She's here alone. I had Steve take a look around and he said there's no SHIELD or HYDRA or anything agents."

"Fine. Bring her in." Natasha nodded and pressed a few buttons on her tablet. A few minutes later, Maria entered the room.

"Why are you here? Going to hurt my kid?" Maria rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

"Look," she started, "I don't know anything about that. All I know is Nick is acting different. Have you seen him recently?" Tony scoffed and walked a few feet away.

"Well, Nick has nearly killed his kid, spiderman, a good three? Two times? I don't keep track. What are you behind?" Natasha got much closer to Maria.

"He what?" Her eyes widened.

"Oh, let me guess. You have no idea about what Nick has been doing? You think you're so innocent?"

"Calm down, Tony. We trust Maria." Natasha walked away from Maria and more over to Tony.

"We used to trust Nick. What happened to that?" Natasha sighed, thinking about this whole situation. She doesn't want to think Nick is a murderer or he wants to cause harm to people she loved. But she has to, cause that's what's going on.

"FRIDAY? Send down Clint." Natasha calls to the AI. Clint comes down from his room after about 10 minutes.

"What do we need Clint for?" Tony asks.

"Take Maria and give her a polygraph. If she passes, send her back up, if she doesn't, I don't care what you do."

"Why am I doing this?" Clint yawns, only being awake for a few minutes.

Natasha sighed. "This is everything that has been happening recently," she hands him the tablet, "don't take long." Clint reads what's on the screen and nods. He takes Maria to another room, leaving Natasha and Tony.

"What happened last night?" Natasha asks, breaking the silence.

"Hm?" Tony just looks up. He found his way to the couches and was staring at the ground the whole time.

"I heard Peter crying. I was in the gym just stretching and I heard him from his room." She sits next to him.

"He was awake last night?"

"I guess. What happened?" Tony sighed. Sure, he wanted to tell her, but in truth, he didn't really know what happened.

After a few minutes of thinking, Tony said, "Peter must have been hallucinating. He kept saying Nick was right in front of him, going to hurt him. I don't know if it was him being so scared or the whole mess of drugs Bruce gave him during the surgery."

"You should take him to a therapist." She advised.

"I know, but this isn't something you'd normally talk about to a therapist. They'll think he's insane." He sighs.

"There's nothing 'normal' to talk to a therapist about. And I'm sure you can find someone to won't tell anyone his secret." Tony nodded and leaned his head on Natasha's shoulder.

They sat like this for 10 minutes, maybe more maybe less. They didn't say anything. Just listened to each other breathing. It was peaceful.

Of course it needed to be ruined by Clint.

"She's good!" He shouted, then head right back to bed. Maria straightened her shirt and walked over to Natasha and Tony.

"So," Tony started, "what do you have to tell us?"

"I don't really know. I came here to ask you guys about this situation, but you're probably in the same spot as I am." Natasha nodded and paced around. "You said Nick hurt your kid?"

"Yep." Tony didn't want to think of it anymore. Seeing Peter nearly dead in a abandoned building. Beaten and bruised. It scared him of what Nick was capable of.

"Could I interview him? Or at least ask him a few questions. You can be around. We could work with him and maybe he can give us some clues?" Tony and Natasha glanced at each other, sharing the same thought.

Natasha answered, "His kid has been hallucinating. He's so scared that Nick has caused him to hallucinate. I don't think he's ready to just, talk about it"

"Yeah, yeah of course. But, right now he's our only hope at solving what's going on." Tony rolled his eyes in annoyance. Natasha let out a quiet giggle, causing Tony to laugh a little.

"Look, we appreciate you wanting to help us, but he isn't ready. I would appreciate it if you left now." Maria just nodded and left without question.

"She's right. Peter is the only one who's witnessed Nick Fury. He hasn't said anything about it, and he could he hiding some really important information." Tony scratched his beard.

"Yeah, I'll go wake him up."
