Previously on You Thought Wrong

"That doesn't make sense... I mean... you deserve a friend as much as Gaara and I do. We all deserve friends just as everyone else... and not just friends, but we all deserve love and happiness... I think the four of us are being denied that, but all we need is each other... Shukaku... Will you be our friend?"

Chapter 9

Gaara and Naruto sat quickly on their swings, swinging. They just talked about random things, a small version of their tailed beasts on their nearest shoulder to one another. They laughed, they shared sorrow and pain and shared happy memories. They stayed here for a few hours, until the Hokage, Kazekage, and Kakashi found them, that is.

The Kazekage watched Gaara, eyes widening when he saw the tailed beast. He grew angry and almost called his guards to kill Gaara and the tailed beast.

The Hokage put a hand on the man's shoulder. "He has befriended the beast... both of them..." He said in awe. This was who was Naruto talked about. The ninetails, a ferocious demon, befriending a blind kid. It was unheard of. This was who watched over Naruto, who talked to him, who told him what was supposed to be done... all of this from a demon who tried to destroy the village many years ago.

Naruto turned around and waved to the two Kage.

Gaara turned around as well, slightly, very slightly, smiling.

The Kazekage watched, his eyes soon growing soft at Gaara. He had treated Gaara like a demon the whole time... but no... Gaara was just a misunderstood jinchuriki... his son... He had tried to hire people to assassinate Gaara... other ones to make him crack and use the one tails to the village's advantage...

The Kazekage, no... Rasa realized he had failed as a father to help his son through these hard times. All it took was a blonde-haired and bright blue-eyed kid to change all of this. He headed to Gaara, going to pick him up.

Gaara backed away, assuming Rasa would hurt him again. He soon saw a reassuring look from Naruto, and reluctantly let Rasa pick him up. Both were awkward and new to this interaction, both seeming uncomfortable at first. Soon enough, Rasa's other children (Tamari and Kankuro) arrived, joining in and the two anti-social people's hug. Rasa and Gaara slowly got used to the hug, having to pull away and pet the other two off of them.

Rasa turned to the Hokage with a small smile. "Naruto is a good kid... as long as he is treated well in this village, Suna shall forever be an ally to the leaf."

With this, Naruto smiled.

An unbreakable bond between the two villages as it seemed. Also, and an unbreakable bond between Naruto and Gaara, Shukaku and Gaara, Shukaku and Kurama, and finally, Naruto and Kurama.
