"Kougyoku left?" Hakuyuu asked, surprised. When he had found out that one of his adopted siblings, one who had issues with speaking to her new siblings, had apparently demanded to go on a trip.
The king, who hadn't the heart to say no to his (illegitimate) child, let her go to wherever she had wanted to. Of course, with her assistant and some soldiers.
"Yeah!" Hakuren nodded, looking astounded, "I was in the room, talking with Mother," he pulled a face, "something about wanting to go to some shrine in uncharted territory."
"Uncharted territory?!" Hakuyuu's eyes widened, "is she crazy? If there's anyone trying to claim the land and they see her, they will definitely take her hostage!"
"I mean, Father sent some men to protect her," Hakuren reasoned, trying to calm with older brother down.
"Why would she want to go to somewhere we obviously have no reign over?" he questioned.
"Because of a story the maids have been gossiping about," a new voice interrupted theirs, making them look over. There, Kouen walked over to them, stopping not too far from them. "From what I've heard, the shrine is possessed by a sort of energy makes wishes come true."
"I wishing shrine?" Hakuren scoffed, "that sounds like something straight out a kids' imagination!"
"Except there are people who are still alive who swear their impossible wishes were granted. But only a selected few are chosen, it seems."
"How curious," Hakuyuu hummed. "Thank you, Kouen, this information was very helpful."
Kouen nodded, before looking out to where a carriage was arriving, "I suppose we will have to wait for her to return in order to find out if it's true."
