Aphmau's POV:

"Zane?" I said, looking over at him. He had seemed far off for the past few days, and I was wondering what was wrong. "Hmm?" He answered, looking over at my direction, but I wasn't sure if he was actually looking at me.

"I was wondering what was bothering you."

"What?" Zane said. "Nothing is bothering me."

I didn't believe him for a second. "Zane, I know you, there IS something bothering you."

Zane sighed. "I-I-I don't if I should tell you."

"Zane, you know I'm your best friend. You can tell me anything!"

"You don't understand. I can't tell you because you're my best friend."

I was confused. Zane wasn't making any sense. "Zane, seriously, what is it?"

Suddenly, I heard Katelyn bust in. "Aphmau, did you know about this!?" She said, and shoved a phone in my face. I saw something that practically, no, actually broke my heart. It was Aaron...kissing....another girl.

"KATELYN?!?! WHERE DID YOU GET THIS?" 

"I-I was dropping a cake off that Kawaii~Chan made for him, a-and I saw...this...through the window. I took a picture to prove it, because I knew you wouldn't believe me without proof." She gave me the phone and walked out of the room.

I stared at the picture for a few seconds, sat down on my bed, and broke down crying. I felt empty, betrayed, and I couldn't decide whether to be angry or sad. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see that Zane had sat down next to me on the bed.

"Aphmau....." He said, looking into my eyes with something that looked familiar, yet, I couldn't quite figure out what it was. "You know, I'll always be here for you."

I looked at him, and then gave him a hug, crying into his shoulder. "Zane, you've always been here for me, you can't know how thankful I am for you as my friend."

I suddenly felt him lift up my face. "Aphmau look at me," He said. "I've always felt like an outcast. I'd never known friendship before I met you." He pulled me closer. "I'd never felt love."

I felt lips press against mine, and I realized something. I loved him too.
