Chapter 1

"Woah! Easy fido, don't wanna damage your brand new leash now, yeah?" Nero taunted Cerberus, a fresh new guardian of the Gates of Hell.

"I had enough of your incessant talking, insect! Only kings of the Underworld may pass through this gate, and a king you are not!" The Cerberus growled as all heads took turns in speaking.

"Well aren't you a little grumpy... Listen mutt, you already knew what happened to your King, and I'm sure you don't want to die on the first day of the job, yeah? So how about you just let me pass through, so that I could fetch my dad and uncle." Nero tried to negotiate, and raised a brow when Cerberus hesitated for a moment.

"You make a compelling argument... I do prefer living and chained, rather than dead." Nero couldn't believe what he's experiencing right now.

"Woah, so you're saying you're letting me pass?" Nero asked rather quickly.

"As much as I would not let you... Your father and uncle are making too much noise at the opposite side of the gate. I can't even get proper rest because of the lesser demons trying to take their chances in passing through the gate, as it is now the only stable way to get to the human realm." The Cerberus complained before explaining.

"Sheesh, that's rough buddy." Nero replied, surprisingly feeling empathy for the demonic guard dog.

"You wouldn't know half of it... Very well... We will let you pass..." The Cerberus replied, stepping aside to let Nero have access.

"Sweet, maybe if we meet again. I'll bring something for you to eat." Nero said, which the Cerberus perked up at the idea.

"I do wonder..." It replied, curious as to what what other meat would taste like, other than ambitious humans that tried to pass through the gate.

"An elephant probably is a single meal for you already." Nero commented offhandedly, stopping just before the swirling portal, that is the gate.

"What is... an elephant?" Cerberus asked, genuinely curious.

"Oh buddy, when I'm done with my business. I can probably find some elephant corpse left by poachers for you to munch on..." Nero replied, hesitantly considering that if he was successful, he might just have to do the thing he just said just to keep his side of the deal.

"Interesting... Quick Sparda Spawn... Before other demons try to take advantage of the opened gate." Cerberus said, and Nero nodded before attempting to enter the portal.

Except, before he could enter. The ground shook, forcing Nero to stop and brace himself. Only to dodge a flying Cerberus, the same Cerberus who let him pass. Through the portal. And before he could react, something punched him hard enough to crack a rib, and getting thrown into the unstable portal.

But before he fully passed through, he saw something unlike he has seen before... A tall humanoid creature wearing green armor and with two horns protruding from his head and carrying a holographic axe with demonic looking scriptures.

"Aw... Shit" was the only words his mind could have before being engulfed by the portal.

New Eridu

"Breaking news! The recently new Hollow that suddenly appeared in the city, right next to the Ballet Twins Tower a few weeks ago. Suddenly released a surge of energy and cause an EMP effect nearby. Many electronics got destroyed or damaged, but the HIA said that the hollow itself wasn't expanding. Yet they are vehemently reminding the citizens to stay away and if it ever does expand, be prepared to evacuate immediately." The news anchor reported from the TV.

"You heard that bro? Are you sure we should do that commission now? That energy pulse might happen again and cause Eous to short circuit." Belle, a young woman with short blue hair, warned her older sibling. Who is sitting in front of multiple screens, typing away in preparation.

"Belle, we already delayed the commission for two days. Caesar and her crew are already waiting for us to be their guide inside the hollow, and it's unprofessional to keep our client waiting." Wise replied, fully reclining on the chair.

"Oh alright, just be sure to get them back safely... I have a bad feeling about this." Belle replied, her worry growing by each second.

Wise placed his hand on her head in a comforting manner.

"More or less, they're the ones keeping me safe inside the hollow." He replied with a smile before turning to Eous.

"Ready buddy?" He asked and the Bangboo saluted.

"Well, let's do this." Wise said, before his eyes glowed alongside Eous.

Hollow

"Woah, this place looks awesome." Burnice, a hyperactive, possibly a screw loose, and resident pyromaniac of the Sons of Calydon. Exclaimed for the fifth time from the moment they entered the hollow.

"Burnice! We get it! The place has cool floating platforms and shiny red gems! Now will you please shut up?!" Lucy, a young teenage girl with a larger than life attitude. Though brash and easily angered, she loves the Sons of Calydon like her own siblings.

Before Lucy could attempt to slam her spiked bat at Burnice. A mechanical arm landed on top of her helmet, and subsequently getting her eyes covered.

"Now now, you two can argue later. We need to focus on the task at hand... Any signals, Proxy?" Caesar, the leader of the Sons of Calydon. Placated her extremely combustible friend before addressing Wise, who is controlling Eous.

"Nothing significant. Mostly just some small fry Ethereals. Nothing you and your crew can't handle." Wise replied, his voice slightly distorted.

He tried to say something, when his instinct told him to stop, and switch his vision to Bangboo View. Immediately, a new trail appeared. One Human, the other canine. Only larger and has a wider frontal gait than normal canines.

"Wait, this is odd... The trail has no signs of struggle between the person and the ethereal." Wise muttered, but Caesar heard it.

"Are you using that ability? What did you find?" She asked, curious as to why they stopped.

"I don't know what I'm looking at, but it seems like there's a person here with us, and some sort of large dog breed? I'm not sure... The paw marks have claw indentations, and there's no struggle between them... It almost looks like they're walking together." Wise replied, unsure on what to make of this information.

Caesar shrugged, but offered her own thoughts.

"Maybe the guy is a private investigator and has a robot dog or something." Caesar relied, but Wise took her words seriously.

After all, what they're doing right now is illegal.

"Anyway, we should follow it. Who knows, maybe the guy needs help or something." She added, before unsheathing her weapons in preparation.

"Well, it's your call. Let's see here." Wise replied, and motioned them to follow his direction.

It took them a good few minutes before the sounds of fighting suddenly reached within earshot from them.

"Uh oh, that doesn't sound good." Wise commented.

"Everyone! Get ready to assist!" Caesar commanded and both Lucy and Burnice stopped their manyering and readied their own weapons.

The group followed the noise, and were surprised to find a young man with platinum grey hair, carrying a flaming sword, and is fighting against the Ethereals with brutal efficiency.

But what shook then even more, was the sight of a massive, three headed dog. Killing any unfortunate ethereals that got too close. Only for their jaws to drop when one of the heads, opened its maw and shot lightning from its mouth, killing the unlucky ethereal that got in front of the attack.

Next was one of the head roared and a miniature snow storm appeared from nowhere and froze a large group of ethereals.

And Burnice to squeal in surprise when the final head, blew fire at the immobilized enemies.

"You think he'll let me pet him?" Burnice asked, before getting shot down by a quick no from Lucy.

Caesar got out of her surprise quickly, and rushed in to help.

"Above you!" She yelled, and the man raised his weapon in time to block a claw swipe.

"Thanks for the assist! Now get out of here! These things are everywhere and that giant dog doesn't care who he hits!" Nero warned, but was ultimately ignored when Caesar easily slashed an ethereal in half.

"Okay, never mind then. The more the merrier." Nero said before dodging another swipe from a hammer wielding ethereal.

The two then joined soon after, helping Nero from his predicament.

And soon enough, the ethereals stopped coming which allowed the group to take a breather.

"Hey, thanks for the assist there. Name's Nero... Nero Angelo." Nero introduced himself, before pointing at the three headed dog resting them to him.

"And this big guy is Cerberus... Well, the... What number are you again?" Nero said before asking Cerberus.

"I am the two-hundred, eighty-fifth generation of King Cerberus." Cerberus replied, which surprised them even more, while Burnice quite literally glowed and suddenly appeared before Cerberus.

"Oh my gosh! He could talk?!"

A/N: Well, here it is. It's here... And to spare some questions. Yes, Cerberus will be a Devil Arm... Except having no need to defeat him.
