"Ok, pair up!" Gina Dravis, our Math teacher, suddenly announced while stepping on top of a huge boulder.

Most of the students' faces changed the moment their eyes laid upon Gina. Even Bill, Jane, and Simon have the same disgusted and annoyed look as the others. Students like me, who's a transfer student, don't know what the hell is going on.

"You guys pair with your seatmates!!!" She excitedly proclaims, throwing her arms high up in the air and unnecessarily spinning around in circles. I couldn't tell whether she's drunk or she's just being normal.

I hope you fall off that boulder, annoying teacher.

"I guess I'll go with little ol' Sherry?" Bill clings onto me with a warm smile and a gentle touch.

"Sorry Bill, but you're my partner." Trisha clings onto Bill's arm and ultimately dragged him away. Bill is acting all cool and tough, but in reality, he would rather prefer me... As far as I know. After all, he would rather go with Jane instead.

Wait, then that means my partner is--

"Why are you looking at me like that? Are you disgusted to know that I'm your partner?!" The hooded guy scolds me in a harsh and coarse voice...

"What are you telling me that for, you freaking idiot?! You would've made the same face when you knew who your partner is!" I retorted, crossing my arms with the same harsh and coarse voice he just had.

"I already know it was inevitably you! I can't be partners with the freaking window!"

"Is that so? Poor window! I should go ahead and let it be my partner instead, huh! Why don't you just suffer alone in the ditch, ok? A lot of first world problems will be solved in an instant!"

"You talk like you're so sure I'm going to suffer alone in the ditch, huh! Then why don't you just su--"

"Ok, stop!" Gina interfered in the middle between me and Simon, with her arms outstretched to block the both of us. "Since the both of you are partners in this trip, you are going to have fun together, whether you like it or not!"

Together, she says. How the hell am I going to have fun together? Having fun and being together with a hooded crap is two completely different things! She can't expect me to do both things at the same damn time!

While the others are walking around the mountain hand-in-hand, Simon and I are grouchily dragging our feet to follow them, both hands in pockets.

While the others are playing around or eating together, Simon and I are throwing piercing glares at each other.

Until nighttime came, and all the students are circling around a campfire while singing a song. I didn't follow the song. I don't want to sing because Simon might hear. No matter if I'm a good singer or not, he would still point and laugh at me if I dare do something remotely humiliating.

"Did you and your partner have fun together?" Gina asks as she stands on top of a boulder again. Only this time, it's a different boulder. "Do you want to spend time with them even if you want to go to sleep?"

Almost all of the students nodded.

"Then, you are free to do so~~~!" She then hums as a wild chaos befell on the students. They turned wild, they were like animals who found their mates. Running, screaming, I could only cover my ears in the middle of this chaos. Even then, covering my ears has always been not enough.

"Sherry." I turned to the voice who called out my name. "Can we switch partners?"
