Siblings
"You visit me more frequently than my brother. What's wrong?" Marie let out a faint giggle. She acts so differently out of the battlefield. I almost forgot that she was the one who inflicted these wounds in my body. I'm thankful that Simon is the only one who noticed.
"School President, even if you are the school president, your brother is causing some trouble." I honestly stated.
Marie let out an exasperated sigh, like she was expecting this to happen. "What do you want me to do then?" She asks in a tired voice, her hand on her head. "I can't stop him. If I do, I may not get healed quickly."
She knows the situation. She can't do anything. One wrong move, and she won't even get to the end.
"How long have you been doing this kind of thing?"
"For the past 4 years... We lost our parents 4 years ago, so we don't have any choice at all. All I could think about was revenge for my parents murderer and all Jack could think about was how to survive in this corrupted world." The same desperate voice I heard came etching itself in my head.
"In general, you only need money, right?" Even though I have the same situation as them, I'll keep my calm as much as I can. If I lose my calm in a situation like this, I can't make a deal with them ever again.
Marie softly nods. "In general." She repeats.
"Then this will be easy." I comment as I stand up from the visitor's chair. "Please tell your brother to stop bullying people while he's suspended."
"He's suspended?!"
I turn my head back to look at Marie's panicked expression. "No, but he will be." Without looking back to see her expression, I walked towards the door while thinking of my resolve.

"Good morning."
"Good morning."
"Hey, have you seen that new movie?"
"It was awesome!"
"First time?"
"My house got burned down."
The hallways of the school are filled with students' voices and stories. My gaze is focused on the floor as they just kept coming by.
I was getting drowned in my own thoughts, when a single tap reminded me of where I stand now.
"You don't seem too good. Lack of sleep again?" Jane asks with a wide smile pasted on her face. She's weirdly too happy.
"No, not really." I faked a smile so she can be assured.
"Sherry..." Jane says my name with a deeply concerned voice. She hangs her head low, obviously worried about me. "You don't really have to do anything... I don't want you to get more hurt than this." She pleads as she grabs my wounds on my arm.
I winced, but kept my strength, kept holding on.
"Then," I started, grabbing both of her soft and gentle hands into mine, "if I ever go alone and I didn't return to your side within 30 seconds, call the teacher to pass by outside. Just tell someone that there's someone getting beaten up. Okay?" I again smiled, assuring her that everything's fine as long as she can do what I asked her to.
"What are you--"
"Trust me." I clutched her hands tighter, staring at her hazel eyes. "I just have to do a little tweaking towards the relationship of siblings."
