Ah yes

I posted the former chapter to see what kind of reactions would happen.
None, but that's alright I think. Posting conversations with oneself may be just slightly too abnormal.

Anyway, I'm not exactly out of ideas for what to write. It's just that I don't know what I want to post. Do you know that feeling?
This book is clearly getting too long and it shows.
It was a bit of an experiment, really. How many and what kind of people will be able to sit through a raging dumpster fire of odd sarcasm and weirdness with few to no kind of consistency or relatability?

Were more than I thought, though I have still not exactly an idea of what kind of person you are.

See, I am not exactly good at being relatable.
Or consistent. And my sarcasm is actually just fake too, I copied from people who made me laugh with this kind of thing.

When it comes down to it, there is only one thing I'm really here for, right.
I like to observe things and spin ideas of varying degrees of strangeness off of that.
That may sound like a pointless way of being to you, but I find it really enjoyable and could do this pretty much forever.
I could explain to you how it works in my head, but that would not really be useful to you.

Let's have a stereotypical talk about the meaning of life instead.

Let's start by saying that the search for the meaning of life is really overrated.

"How so?" you may ask.

Well, you don't actually do, but whatever. I like to pretend I can make you think.

The people who yearn for a meaning to life are most likely not even sure what a meaning is in the first place. Since they somehow manage to fail to see relevance in the very thing that enables them to consider relevance in the first place, there is not much of a different option.

The people who feel they can choose their meaning in life will do so. Whether they will be content with that is a completely different question. But they have time to learn.

The people who want a timeless meaning to life that creates a big picture of the world, not only their personal preferences, will like science, religion or frustration.
All equally valid options to challenge yourself. If you are really hardcore, might as well pick them all and add a side dish of occultism while you're at it.
Did you know that Isaac Newton spent a large portion of his life secretly chasing the wonders of alchemy?
What a qwerky boi.

If you ask me, the answer to the meaning of life is the same as to the question why people are obsessed with searching aliens, and for the same reasons.
It is just fascinating. A rarity.
Why ask for more? I never understood.

There is a good chance that for someone out there, we are the aliens.
Imagine how they ceaselessly search for us, wondering if we will ever answer them beyond those vast distances. That's pretty cute, isn't it?
To someone out there, you are a complete mystery. You are a secret hidden in the depths of space. Show a bit more appreciation. You have basically been epic your whole life without realising, and for that latter part, you are a bit of a twat tbh.

But whatever, I can forgive you that.
Being the material of legend is a heavy burden not everyone can carry with grace. In fact, the fewest do.
Perhaps you should give it a shot though.
We could need some more of that, you see.
Ah, just so you know. This is not to say that you should act all posh now. A common mistake for those who halfway understand, and a quite unbecoming one at that. Nobody likes stories about arrogant people except for making fun of them. I am pretty sure you feel the same way.

Now since we talked about the meaning of life, let's talk about death too.
My recklessness led to me almost dying several times, so I am somewhat qualified to do so.

Ok I'm running out of time so I'll make it short - people are too scared of death.
Of course this is a useful trait in order to prolong your lifespan and prevent humanity from collectively deciding that launching all nukes at once would be an absurdly epic way to go.
But in the long run, it can lead to being just too hasty about things.
So much tunnel vision out there.
In order to truly understand all you can do with life, you pretty much need to accept death first.
Depending on the kind of person you are, this can be a rather difficult task.
I think what can help you is learning about the stories of people who survived really bad situations or live with severe conditions that limit their lifespan and see how they do.
Deprive yourself of things occasionally.
Also, visit graveyards sometimes. They're nice.

Death is not bad. Are you scared of going to sleep? Guess not.
So yeah don't worry so much.
