Ten thousand pov
The base we were escorting Murphy to is still out there and standing, and it was only a few minutes away from where we were. It felt as if just making it across the California border was a huge relief of everyone's shoulders. I saw a Z in the distance, damn I haven't seen one of them in a while. *note my sarcasm* I sat my gun up on top of the truck and pulled the trigger. The Z fell onto the ground. "6,030" I said with a smirk on my face. "You only have about 4,000 left to go then, good luck." Cassandra said laughing. "Trust me I'll get there!" I said sitting myself down next to her. We sat there in silence for what seemed the longest time until she spoke up, "I can't believe we have made it this far. I don't think if the group found me I would of been dead by now. I was locked in a cage so that they Z's couldn't get to me. Addy, Mack and Doc found me and got me out. " she said. I laughed. "Well that's something we have in common." I smiled then our car came to a stop. We stood up and looked around us. We were at a hospital. The place had huge walls surrounding the place, then after the walls was a set of smaller walls about 10 feet tall to ensure no Z got in a guess, then a fence after the walls. It looks as if this barrier was built very early on because the hospital looked to be in good shape. Warren got out of the car and open the back door and pulled Murphy out. She said to him, "Now Murphy I hate to do this but the hospital here is told that we are escorting a prisoner so I am going to put these hand cuffs on you so they don't think your a Z." He stood there debating wether or not to let her do this. He must of decided to because he pushed his hands out and warren put the cuffs on him. Soon everyone got out of the car and started walking towards the hospital. We get near the door and two armed military guards jumped out in front of us, "We saw the people who worked the gates let you in, who are you and why are you here?" Warren put her gun on the ground," We are not here to hurt you. We were transporting a prisoner, Murphy." She says pointing to him," he has the antibodies in his blood to make a cure for the zombie virus." The officers slowly put down their guns. "You actually made it....we thought had died because we haven't heard from you in a while.." The officer said. "Follow us" the other one said sternly.

We followed them to the second floor. The place was clean and had a small amount of people. We came to a door and the officer pulled it open. There sat a doctor, she was looking at a bunch of data. I'm guessing for a cure. The officers explained who we were and that we were here with the cure. She stood up fast an went towards Murphy.
"Thank you. You are the hope for the human race. Will you come with me so we can get this cure started, officer Jamestone please take these people to our living quarters." She said taking Murphy to a back room.

We followed officer Jamestone to the 3rd floor where he asked for our names.
A short while later he came back with our room assignments.
"Room 219- addy and Mack
Room 220- 10k and Cassandra"
My heart dropped. Did he just say me and Cassandra? I mean we're friends but not friends with benefits! Doc looked at me and gave me a smirk. I gave him a glare and rolled my eyes. "Room 221 Doc and Warren"

Everyone went to their rooms but I stayed to talk to the officer. "Why was Cassandra and I assigned to the same room?" "Ahh I knew you would of asked that! It's because we think you would be a good love interest to her. That's why Mack and Addy were paired together. And doc and Warren are together simply because they were the oldest." I stood there thinking this over,"so...basically you think would be a good couple and want us to fall in love to help start the next generation of the human race?" He smiled at me. "Yep!"
I guess we are good friends but I never thought of that happening. I guess there is a good possibility of us falling in love. With that I said thank you and headed to room 220.

I walked inside to see a door open to my left and Cassandra sprawled out onto a twins sized bed. The sheets were clean! It was a sight I never thought I would see again. I ran over and yelled "Move over Cassandra!" I said jumping on top of her. "Ow! I could of had a warning a little sooner don't you think?" I grinned "Nope." I rolled off the bed and began looking at the rest of the room. I walked towards what seemed to be a living room, there was not TV but there was a bunch of board games and old magazines. I continued to walk forward only to find a bathroom. Then I took a right in the living room to find a kitchen! I ran over
To the sink to see if there was running water. I turned the knob, I waited, nothing. Then the water came rushing down. I stuck my head under the faucet and drank the water. It was perfect. I probably haven't had the much water since the whole apocalypse started! "You could of just got a glass and put the water in it that's in the fridge." I heard Cassandra say. I looked up and started blushing. She laughed and laughed. I walked over to our fridge and pulled the doors open. There was heaven. Food on everything shelf and not spoiled! I saw a jar of peanut butter and pulled it out. I put my hand in it and grabbed a handful then I shoved it into my mouth. Cassandra said through giggles, "*giggle* you know that *giggle* there are spoons here *giggle* right?" "Cassandra I haven't had this in forever I don't care about spoons!" She shook her head, "I'm going to take a shower, I hope you enjoy that jar of peanut butter."
