Chapter 24- Names For Heroes

"Alright, since everyone is here, the real test is about to begin," Aizawa yawned, seeing the class settle down. Everyone but you began to worry about quizzes and exams.

"Choosing code names, your hero name for yourself,"

That made the class cheer, but quickly quiet down at Aizawa's glare. Aizawa explained that even though they would be naming themselves, they still need to prove to their recruiter that they're worthy of the names they've chosen.

"These hero names can be temporary, but be careful of what you choose or-" The door swung open, revealing a familiar purple clothed human.
"You'll have hell to pay later!" Midnight walked in, making you look over at her.

"What you pick out could be your code name for life, so you better be careful or you'll be stuck with something indecent," She explained standing next to Aizawa.
"Yes, and Midnight will be checking with your hero names, this is just not my forte," Aizawa said, grabbing his sleeping bag and falling asleep.

Everyone got whiteboards, including you for some reason.
"I know you're not a hero, Fury. However, it's fun to create an alias for yourself, so have fun!" Midnight beamed at you, making you nod and look down at your board.

"Alright, now who is willing to get up first and show your hero names?" She suddenly asked. And Aoyama stood up first, walking in front of the class.
"Hold your breathe, for my name is 'I Can Not Stop Twinkling'!" He said while sparkles surrounded him.

'That's just a whole sentence...' The class sweat dropped.
"How about this? Take out the 'I' and shorten to Can Not to Can't," Midnight suggested while scribbling on the board.
"You're right mon ami," Aoyama posed.

"THAT WORKED?!" The class yelled. Then, Mina stood up all giddy.
"Alright here's mine, Alien Queen!" You nodded thinking that was a good name.

"Wait you mean the gross alien that has acidic blood?! No way!" You kinda deflated at her saying acidic blood was gross.
'Guess my blood is gross' You sighed sadly, but chose to ignore it.

"I had this name for a while since grade school, Rainy Season Hero: Froppy!" Asui said. Midnight praised it, causing everyone to chant Froppy, feeling more good about the name ideas.

"Here's mine, Sturdy Hero: Red Riot" Kirishima grinned.
"Oh! Going off the Chivalrous Hero: Crimson Riot yes?" Midnight asked with a smile.
"Yeah, he may be old school, but I look up to him!" Kirishima rubbed his neck sheepishly.

"Well, if you're gonna bare the name of someone you admire, you have more to live up to," She explained. You looked at your board.
'Someone to look up to?' You thought, thinking about your siblings.

'They look up to me, so I will find an awesome name... Wait, what about the one I look up to?' You began to listen to all of the other names.
'Earphone Jack, Tailman, Pinky, Anima, they all sound like creative names. Well, Todoroki just chose his first name. What would mine be?' You hummed, scribbling ideas down.

"King Explosion Murder"

"I'm gonna say that's a little violent," Midnight interjected, causing his head to whip towards her.
"HUH?! WHAT YOU MEAN?!" He yelled in frustration.
"Hey you should be named Explosion Boy!" Kirishima proposed, jokingly.

"Or maybe The Human Grenade," You mumbled to Kaminari, who snorted. Bakugo snarled and stomped to his seat, spitting curses towards you.
"This is my hero name, Uravity," Uraraka shyly said, and Midnight accepted it. It was Iida's turn, and you knew that he wouldn't choose the name Ingenium.

"Tenya,"

'Right, his brother,' You looked down at your each, pulling at the sleeves of your hoodie, feeling sympathy for him. Now, it was Izuku's turn to show his hero name.

Izuku stood up in front and turn to show his name, making you tilt your head a little.
"Are you sure man? That could be your name for life?" Kirishima asked, a little concerned for the bushy haired boy.

"Yeah, I used to hate it, but then something changed over time. To others, it means that I'm a hero, and that makes one! Someone said we'll be side by side and work together to be the best, and I'll keep that promise!" He said.

You smiled at his explanation, trying to wonder who was the one who inspired him, never came to mind that you were the real reason.
So dense...

"Lord Explosion Murder!!" Bakugou yelled again, angry scribbles on the board.
"That's basically the same as the last one," Midnight mumbled, a little bluntly. His shouts made you roll your eyes and smiled.

"Hey (Y/N), do you have a name?" Uraraka whispered to you, causing Midnight to point at you.
"Right! Fury, if you want, you could show the class your fun hero name!" Midnight smiled, and the class looked over at you.

You gulped a little, and stood up to show the class.
"I didn't expect to find a name that suits me," You confessed.
"But then I remembered what ye said, about wanting to be like someone ye admire, and ye have to put more effort to live up like them. And that gave me the idea to my hero name," You beamed and turned your board around.

"We may not see eye to eye, but that doesn't mean that he didn't inspire me so much" You gave a toothy grin, remembering his last words to you.

"I am the Alpha Hero: Night Fury,"

The school day ended, and you hugged Izuku goodbye as you turned your way to the dorms.
"Aizawa, ye mentioned about a hero training me, are ye going to be it?" You asked as you spotted the hero around the corner.

"As exciting as that sounds, I already have an intern, sorry," He tilted his head a little, and gave you a piece of paper.
"Oh? Who is it?" You asked him.
"It's a surprise," He simply said, and pointed at the paper.

"This is the hero who wants to train you, not just physical strength, but mental strength too," He explained. You looked down at the paper, and was intrigued.

"Ryukyu... the... Dragoon Hero?"

"Hey... are you okay?"

"Y-yeah! I'm f-fine! Why wouldn't I be? I-it's just allergy season, a-and I... and I-I-"

"It's okay, we miss them too,"

"... Why did they have to leave us? We would have cheered them up, but... they just... left,"

"Don't cry! They're doing the best they can't to find them, it'll be okay!"

"But, it took a toll on Ma and Da. They haven't slept in weeks, especially Da. He hasn't been like this ever,"

"Yeah... it's not going well for anyone in the family,"

"... I'm going to find them,"

"What?"

"Tonight, I'm going out there, and going to save them from the humans! I know they got captured, and I'm going to rescue them!"

"Ye can't! If they couldn't escape, what make ye think ye can?!"

"I'm not going to wait around and be useless while our siblings it out there getting hurt by cruel humans!"

"Ruffy...-"

"Tell on me all ye want! I'll do it whether I'm alone on this or not!"

"..."

"Fine, let's do this,"

"Really?! Just like that?!"

"What? Yer scared?"

"N-no!! I just don't want ye two to get hurt!"

"Then come with us! We need to find a way to pass the Rumblehorns, there's more than usual since they're disappearance,"

"Don't worry, I know a way,"

"We're in this together ye guys, for (Y/N), got it?"

"Got it!!"
