2.

When Aragorn woke up and opened his eyes Legolas was kneeling by the lake, his chest bare. His back was turned to the man, still oblivious he was awake. His clothes lay perfectly folded a bit away, together with his weapons.

He filled his hands with water before he washed his face, making water drops drop down and disturb the already disturbed surface.

Aragorn narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at the bare backside of his friend. He was beautiful, like he had already thought far too many times. He had more muscles than Aragorn had imagined, mostly on his shoulders and arms.

He chuckled quietly at the thoughts. Legolas was never gonna be more than a friend. He wouldn't, Aragorn would never allow it. It would screw too much up, Legolas life as well.

He stretched before he sat up, wiping the sleep off of his eyes with two fingers. He looked up at the elf who now watched him, grinning widely.

"Come on." Legolas offered with a grin.
"We both could use a real bath, you most of all."

"Legolas." Aragorn groaned sarcastically and rubbed the remaining sleep from his face.

Legolas laughed, the sound reached Aragorn's ears and making him smile through the friendly harassment.

"You smell like an Orc."

"Then it's very lucky you like this Orc." Aragorn teased, before he realised what it sounded like. He shut up and looked at the elf, trying to see if he noticed the small miss.

Legolas looked at the man, surprised. Suddenly he caught himself and smiled, not showing how true the statement was.

"Luckily I do." He smiled before he stood from the ground.
"Come on." He said again, more inpatient this time.

Aragorn nodded relived and rose to walk down to the lake. How could he say that? He scolded himself and sighed quietly. Why was it so hard to hide your real feelings?

Aragorn forced himself not to stare at the beautiful elf in front of him. He really was flawless. He felt butterflies in his stomach and desperately tried to think of something not so arousing.

Legolas jumped out of his boots, his backside to Aragorn. The elf himself tried not to blush as he almost completely undressed in front of Aragorn. He did not even know why he was doing this. He tried to tell himself it was because of the bath, but he didn't even knew.

'Oh no' Aragorn thought as he tried to hide the bulge in his pants. If he undressed here was no chance he could hide his little problem.

"Aren't you gonna undress?"

His pulse began to race and he fought to breathe normally, feeling like he suddenly suffocated. It was amazing what Legolas could do to him by just not wearing his tunic.

"..it looks like it's gonna rain."

'Aragorn, that was a bad excuse.'

Legolas sighed, before a small grin spread on his face.
"That was a bad excuse. Now undress or I will undress you."

'How much I would love you to.' Aragorn thought.

They both laughed at that, trying to hide the small embarrassment of the statement.

Aragorn eyes was once more drawn to Legolas who pushed his hair back, exposing his neck, and began to pull down his leggings. How Aragorn would love to kiss down that neck, over his chest...

Instead of showing his surprise and nervousness he shook his head and began to unbutton his cloak. Taking his shoulder pads off he also let his belt fall to the ground shortly after. Taking the arms guards and jacket off his hands shook slightly as he pulled the soft, cotton shirt over his head, fully exposing himself.

Legolas grinned as he finally convinced the man to join him and completely stripped his leggings, leaving him in only his black underwear. Aragorn quickly looked away and forced himself to think about something disgusting.

'Think about an naked Orc. Naked Orc...alright that worked out well.' He chucked quietly as he let his own pants drop, but couldn't keep the thoughts out of his head. He had seen Legolas close to naked before, many times, but there was something about this time that was more arousing for him. Probably because they were alone in the middle of a forest.

Watching Legolas discretely he noticed how different they really were. As the elf stretched both of his arms to one side, showing his biceps, Aragorn was afraid he would lose it and slam him up against a tree. Luckily he didn't.

He himself was pretty well build. He had a strong chest and broad shoulders. He also was pretty tanned, compared to Legolas who was very pale. His chest also had a thin layer of dark hair. Or, name one body part that did not have any hair. Black hair covered his legs, arms and chest, also a string going down from his chest over his stomach, down to his lower region.

Legolas on the other hand did not have a single hair on his pale chest. He was also muscular, but not as much as the ranger. His stomach was flat, not having a lot of muscles there. 'He have an amazing figure though.' Aragorn caught himself thinking. His long legs and sculptured thighs did not have a single hair, neither did his arms or chest. But how they were beautiful.

His always flawless hair lay uncaringly and unbraided around his shoulders, glowing in the morning sun. Even messy his hair was still flawless.

Shaking his head Aragorn ran forward and carelessly jumped right into the water, immediately feeling the coldness surround him. His back touched the bottom as he sunk, and he scolded himself for not checking the deep before he jumped. Now it was obvious, Legolas was dangerous.

He reached the surface and shook the water from his face as he placed his feet on the rocky bottom. The water reached his chest as he stood up straight.

He heard the elf's beautiful laugh but had no time to react before the elf jumped in right beside him, making him get a wave of cold water over his head.

Before he knew it he laughed himself and splashed a big wave back at the elf, who had now surfaced. All the worst lust was temporarily gone, now he just wanted to have some fun with his friend. Not did he know Legolas thought the exact same thing.

He did not know how to react when he himself got a wave of cold water splashed back on him. He was in shook for a moment before recognition hit him and he looked up at the elf. He loved to see the polite prince act this childish, which he only did around him.

His teeth shuttered uncontrollably even though he tried to hide it, and Legolas grinned wider. He raised his chin and pressed his lips together, quietly daring the man to challenge him.

Aragorn splashed a bigger wave back at the elf. His body and feet was stiff and cold against the rough bottom of the lake. Legolas did not notice though, as elves did not feel cold.

Legolas laughed as the cold water collided with his once warmer body. He grinned as water drops tickled down his face and chest from his now wet hair.

Aragorn tried not to stare, as he promised himself he wouldn't, but it was hard. The elf was absolutely stunning. The sun glowed at his pale, wet skin, making him almost sparkle. His wet hair now lay behind his shoulders as he pushed it back, exposing his half covered chest which heaved with heavy breaths.

Opening his arms the man again gathered as much water as he could before splashing it at the grinning elf.

Laughing Legolas pushed his wet hair back from his face and wiped his face from the water with his palms. Just when Aragorn believed he would not attack again the elf went over to him.

At this close Aragorn forged himself to think of that naked Orc again.

The elf was oblivious though as he grabbed the man's shoulders in a hard grip, looking deep into his eyes. Deep inside Legolas was screaming. What was he doing?

Naked Orc naked Orc naked Orc...

Aragorn was almost sure Legolas would kiss him when he gave him a grin and totally unexpected pushed him under the surface. Aragorn shocked opened his mouth to say something when he only saw a bunch of bubbles as the air escaped from his mouth. He felt water go through his nose and slid down his throat, leaving a salty taste. His knees collided with the bottom as he watched his air escape from his lungs. He closed his eyes and did not fight, knowing that Legolas was strong.

Legolas quickly let him go, not wanting to drown the human. Aragorn surfaced and coughed a few times. He took a deep breath before he glared at the elf. Legolas laughed and pushed another stray of wet hair behind his pointy ear.

Suddenly they felt raindrops on their skin, making Legolas jump in surprise. Aragorn grinned, he would absolutely tease him about that later. The rain began to fall, slowly at first. Aragorn looked up at the sky, which had grown dark really quick. It took a second and soon the rain was pouring down.

They grinned and ran up to grab their clothes, which was already drained, and ran to their camp which luckily was under a few big trees. Their blankets had been protected pretty well, but was starting to get a bit wet around the edges. Legolas took them both and lay them against the trunk, making Aragorn frown. Was Legolas planning for them both to sit there, so close to one another?

Legolas put his pants on, sure to keep some dignity, before he sat down on the blankets. He just grinned and gently combed his hair with his fingers to make it dry faster.

"Well...that was relaxing." Aragorn said sarcastically and fastened his now wet pants and belt. A cold breeze blew on him, making his hair fly behind him and he couldn't stop his body from shaking in cold. He sighed and left the wet jacket off, thinking it only cooled him down more.

Legolas looked at him in pity. Grabbing more grass he began to make up another fire, quickly succeeding even though the grass wasn't even dry. The rain was making it hard, but slowly the fire grew at least enough to give some warmth.

"Come sit by the fire Aragorn, you shake like a leaf."

The horses had found a spot a few feet away, under another tree. They stood with their heads tangled in a light sleep, trying to protect each other from the rain.

Aragorn slowly sat down beside his friend on the now joined blankets and desperately tried to gather some warmth from the fire. He fastened his damp cloak around his bare shoulders, but found no warmth at all. He rubbed his hands together and felt some warmth return to his frozen limbs. The cold water had cooled his blood down and he was freezing, the growing wind wasn't helping. One drop dropped onto his back from his hair and he shuddered visibly.

Legolas looked at him in guilt. He knew humans felt cold more effectively than elves, who did not feel it at all and he knew it was entirely his fault Aragorn was cold. He literally forced him to take a bath, and for a almost naked human to sit in the wind, wet, he knew it was bad.

Taking his cloak from the pile of clothes he offered it to the man who shook his head stubbornly. Legolas sighed sarcastically and held it out again.

"Take it, you're cold."

"No Legolas, it's yours."

A strong wind suddenly blew out the fire, leaving them cold in the almost dark. The smoke slowly made its way up through the rain.

Legolas looked miserable at the sky, silently asking the Valar what they did wrong. Without a fire Aragorn would freeze more, he needed some heat.

"Aragorn, it's my fault you're cold. Saes take it." (Please)
Legolas talked louder to over voice the wind that swept over them at that moment. It ruffled both of their hairs and they could hear the horse's not so happy sounds. Legolas heart aced for them as well.

Before Aragorn could answer the elf pulled the cloak around the shaking form. Aragorn did not complain.

"Aragorn? Are you sick?"
His thoughts were interrupted by the voice and his eyes quickly found Legolas eyes, which looked worried. His hair flew around his head, not so flawless anymore, but the elf did not seem to notice the cold at all. Even Legolas needed to control his urge at this close, but right now his worry was taking over.

"Are you having a fever? Your eyes are unfocused and you are quivering."

"Hm? No I'm fine Legolas." Aragorn smiled assuming. He found it funny how protective Legolas was of him, even though he probably looked pretty bad.
"I may be human but I'm not made of glass."

Feeling his forehead and finding it cold like the rest of his body instead of hot Legolas slowly nodded. By then Aragorn uncontrollably snuggled deeper into the cloak, trying to find comfort. He felt Legolas smell in it but couldn't bring himself to smell it with Legolas so close. It would look weird, especially as Legolas was watching him.

Instead he smiled gratefully.
"Hannon le Mellon nin." (Thank you my friend.)

Legolas couldn't help but think about the man's gaze when they were in the water. Could he possibly feel the same? It was only a dream though, Legolas knew that. It could never be real because he was immortal, Aragorn wasn't. It could never work out, even if Aragorn returned his feelings.

He smiled back at the man and leaned back against the tree. Looking up into the dropping tree crowns his mind began to race. Maybe they could do some archery later today when the rain was over?

Aragorn snuggled into the elf's cloak and leaned back against the trunk. He tried, but couldn't stop shaking, and now when the fire was out it was freezing cold. He sighed and wrapped the cloak around him tighter, all the way up to his chin.

Legolas looked at him, feeling pity for him. He did not want Aragorn to catch a cold, so he did the only thing he could think of.

He opened his arms and wrapped them around Aragorn's shoulders, wrapping him in a embrace. Aragorn's bare shoulder touched Legolas side and Legolas almost regretted the action. But he kept telling himself Aragorn needed the body heat.

Aragorn looked at him in surprise, before he smiled gently. He felt like he would die of embarrassment, but smiled calmly and leaned his head against Legolas gently. Legolas chuckled softly and leaned back against the man, creating a perfect balance. With his arms still around the man's he began to rub his arms gently, trying to get some circulation back. Aragorn smiled, feeling the blush creep up on his cheeks.

The storm was long.
