Chapter 2
Chapter Two: Thanks Dad
*Flash Back*
Max woke up to the smell of Bacon and eggs in the kitchen. His mother and father were making breakfast together.
Max woke up and walked to the kitchen. "Morning mom, morning dad" he said and smiled.
"Morning sweetie" Max's mother, Catherine said and smiled. "I see you're up already."
"He's always up when he smells breakfast" Max's father, Henry said and smiled.
Max nodded and smiled. He sat at the table and waited patiently.
Catherine finished cooking the eggs and smiled. "Did you clean your hands, Max?" she asked Max.
Max sighed stood up and went to was his hands in the bathroom.
Two minutes later, Max came back and saw breakfast was ready. Bacon, eggs, toast as well as pancakes were on each one's plate.
Max sat down and wanted to eat but Catherine reminded him that they had to say Grace first.
Max, Catherine and Henry held hands and said their Grace.
After they said Grace, they started to eat.
After about ten minutes, Max started to do the dishes. "Thank you son" Henry said to Max and ruffled his hair.
"Remember, I'm going to teach some techniques on how to make medkit with only cloth and alcohol" Henry said.
Max sighed. "Can we do it tomorrow?" "No. You agreed on today" Henry said sternly.
"Ok dad" Max groaned as he finished washing the dishes and started to dry them off.
After Max and his dad finished showering, getting dressed, and did chores, they went to a store to get Vodka and some cloths so Henry could teach Max how to make Medkits.
After they arrived at the house, Henry showed Max to the backyard. "Ready?" Henry asked.
Max nodded and watched.
"Ok. The first thing you need to do is soak the cloth with this vodka." Henry said and showed him how he soaked the cloth.
Max payed attention and watched how it was done.
Henry finished and dried the cloth. "Now, you have a bandage without having to pay for one" Henry said.
Max was amazed. "Wow. That was so cool." Max said and smiled.
"Now. Make your own" Henry said, giving Max a long piece of cloth and the bottle vodka.
Max poured a little of the vodka on the cloth and watched it being soaked.
He then dried it a bit and rolled it up, so it looked like a bandage.
"See? Was it that hard?" Henry asked and Max showed no.
"Good. Remember that whenever you get hurt, use that cloth as a bandage. It'll help heal the wound. It'll sting a bit, but it'll help heal your wound." Henry said and smiled at Max.
Max hugs his dad and smiled. "Thanks Dad"
*End of Flash Back*
Max woke up and sighed as he remembered what he was taught by his dad and looked up at the sky.
"Thanks Dad" he said and sighed as he stood up and walked out of the store, holding his bat and ready for the infected.
