Chapter 11. My date
Third person's POV
As Konyii looked at the gentle man sitting in front of her, she blushed when he looked up and caught her looking at him.
She was wearing a black body fitting gown that is sleeveless, making her wear a black body hug long sleeve top beneath. Matching it with silver heels and purse. Her scarf was tied backwards, beautifully.

Tope and Abiola had picked them for her. Abi's mom had paid. She just prays her mom won't be angry when she finds out she didn't tell her.
"You look really beautiful." He complimented, making her blush and butterflies erupt in her stomach. She've never felt this way, even with her last boyfriend.
"Thanks." Thank God for dark skin. They ate in silence, until he broke it.
"Um, how are you preparing for exams?" He asked, she mentally rolled her eyes. Which one is exam now? She thought.
"Well, Alhamdullilah." She replied, dropping her fork.
Then she laughed at how awkward it had become, making him laugh too. From there they started talking, until he asked her a question she never wanted to bring up.
"Have you had any past relationships?" she gulped. She didn't like talking about her ex boyfriend. He was a jerk was an understatement, in fact he was a motherfucking asshole who only dated her for his own selfish needs and desires.
"Yes I did." she gave a short reply. He noticed her body language, guessing she didn't want to talk about it.
"Oh, I'm guessing you don't want to talk about it. You can always tell me though, I won't judge." He looked genuine. Now she was sure about what Abi said.
"I d-don't think I'm ready to talk about it." She said and he just smiled genuinely.
"Anytime, whenever you're ready." He replied. All of a sudden she felt guilty, he had told her about his past. The girl he dated, a coworker. They dated when they just started working together, he had thought she was the one. But she cheated on him. Now she would say they are almost the same, only that hers didn't cheat on her. He did worse.
"I- I, um," She stuttered
"It's ok, I'm not saying you have to tell me now. Like I said whenever you're ready." He said again and she couldn't help but want to tear up, never in her life did she think she would meet someone like him.
"We started dating when I was 18," He wanted to cut her off, but she shook her head indicating he should let her talk. It's high time she told someone other than her mom, Abi's mom and Abi. "I was walking home from college, when my bag got snatched. I couldn't chase the person but all of a sudden he came from somewhere and chased the guy, caught him without much effort. I was happy, so I thanked him. But then he asked for my number, I didn't want to give him. I gave him because, he had helped me. Till today I still regret it with every single bone and muscle in my body. Maybe if my bag wasn't snatched, I wouldn't have met him. But then again, everything happens for a reason. So we started dating after some months. He was being so sweet and kind then, always giving me what I asked for, which was mostly food. Then, one day, we were having a heated make out session," The way Ayo clenched his fist and gritted his teeth was scary but she continued anyway. "But he, was going too far, so I pushed him away. But he didn't want to stop, so I pushed him harder."
"Did you tell anyone?" He asked just as she was about to talk.
"Yes. So as I was saying, I pushed him off. Then he asked what was wrong, I told him nothing. He wanted to continue again, but I pushed him away harder making him fall. All of a sudden he stood up and slapped me hard, my face whipped to the other side."
"That's enough now, I don't want to hear it. This is supposed to be a date and not me asking about your past, I shouldn't have asked." He said gritting his teeth. She gulped, she couldn't do anything, so she kept her mouth shut.
"Let's go." He said as he stood up and adjusted himself, she didn't know what was wrong so she complied.
They drove in a deafening silence, which made her really uncomfortable but, she didn't complain or say anything. She shouldn't have told him, she should have just kept her mouth shut. Maybe, they could have still been having thier date. She thought. She kept on looking as the buildings pass by. She has never felt this way before, she just wanted to go home and curl up in bed.
"We are here." She was cut off her trance when she heard his voice. She didn't even know they had arrived at Abi's house.
She got up and picked her purse, already upset and fed up. She turned to leave, but he held her back, holding her arms firmly.
"What?" She muttered.
He said nothing, he let his eyes ogle her face. She felt uncomfortable already.
"I…" He cut her off by crashing his already wet lips on hers, then he looked back at her and gently, he whispered. "Forgive me for this." Before she could say a word, he dived in harder and gently nibbled her lips she was tired of forcing it she gave in to the sensation his lips was causing on hers. She's never felt that way, the hormones that were rising up were different from the ones that always came up whenever they were close to each other. He connected their lips again, and sucked her tongue. She let him have full control of her lips. Cos at that time of her life she wanted to be lost in the moment forever. They pulled away after sometime, breathing hard. She smiled shyly and opened the car door and ran out. Without a goodbye.
He looked as she ran inside the gate and smiled, that was the best kiss he ever had. He drove home, the smile still tugging on his lips.
"My best day ever!" Konyii said as she slumped down on the couch, right in the middle of Abiola and Tope.
"What happened?" Abiola asked her, at the same time pushing her making her fall to the ground.
"You push me one more time in this life and you'll hate me!" Konyii glared. "We kissed!!" She screamed all of a sudden. Making Tope and Abi turn to her, ready for the full gist.
"How did it happen? Girl, first date oo!!!" Abi exclaimed. Even though with the look on her face, she wanted nothing but how the whole kiss happened.
"It just happened." Then Konyii went on to explain everything for both girls.
"Wow, you told him, that's good though. I told you he is the one!" Abi exclaimed as she slapped Konyii's butt.
"I guess he is." Konyii said blushing.
"You guys have a fun life." Tope said out of the blue.
"What do you mean?" Abi asked. Then realization dawned on her and she nodded in understanding.
"It's ok, why don't we eat our life away tonight?" Tope said shocking the two girls. She isn't a girl that likes talking much, Abi noticed that when they went out for Konyiis shopping.
"Tobi sent a list of what you can and can't eat to me, let's get the food ready while Konyii changes from that cloth." Abi suggested, making the girls nod.
"So, you're not allowed to eat mangoes, sweet potatoes, honey, baking soda and lastly sodas." Abi looked at the list with wide eyes. She looked up and saw a smiling Tope, making her smile too.
"I guess he forgot the one that triggers my heart beat more, wanna know?" She asked Abi, stifling a giggle.
"Of course."
"I can't eat fish!" She giggled hard, making Abiola wonder what was wrong with her.
"Why are you laughing now?"
"Because I love fish." That shocked Abi hard.
"How can you love fish, when you're not supposed to eat it?"
"I tried it once, I ended up in the hospital for 5 weeks. Tobi was really frustrated, because I don't seem to listen to him. But there's nothing he can do, he can't whoop me." That made Abi smile.
"And why can't he, I see you need it." Abi smiled.
"He can't bring himself to do so. Whenever he tries to raise his hands, he just frustratingly go to his room. But then he Locks me up in my room. So I always annoy him, knowing I can't get whooped. " Tope cheekily smiled. It seemed like she loves frustrating her big brother.
"I can see you like frustrating him." Abi smiled. Bringing out the banana and milk from the fridge.
"It's fun, but sometimes, he collects my laptop and phone." She grinned. Making Abiola smile.
"You need some whopping." She concluded, making Tope's grin go wider.
Abiola brought out the food and snacks they would be filling them self's with, making sure to leave the ones Tope is allergic to. Then her phone rang while she was holding the blender for Tope's smoothie. It was Tobi.
"Hello?"
"Hey, is Tope there?" He asked her.
"No, she's in front of your apartment. She said she wanted to see you." While Tope was snickering. Abiola put the phone on loud speaker.
"What?! She didn't tell me she was coming and I've been calling her number, but to no avail." He sounded really stressed out, but that didn't stop the girls from bursting out in laughter.
"You guys are joking with me." Tobi said chuckling
"You actually fell for that?" Abiola asked with a bag of chips in her mouth, while Tope follows her up the stairs.
"Kinda, I'm just stressed. Did she use her drugs?"
"Yep, my mom and I made her. She was being a big baby." Abiola smiled looking over at Tope.
"Alright, just wanted to hear of her." That made Abiola smile. She was beginning to feel somehow, so she hung up. Without so much of a goodbye.
"After 10 years! Can't you see my children?" Konyii exclaimed.
"What? We were picking up the food." Tope said flopping down on the couch in Abiola's room.
"Bring... Oh is that smoothie?" Konyii's eyes twinkled.
"Yes it is, just for Tope. She can't have soda."
"Then why didn't you make for me?"
"You know where the kitchen is right?" That sentence made Konyii frown her face.
"Let's eat please!" Tope said picking up her smoothie.
