Abiola's POV

"You're so naughty!" Tobi said tapping my nose making me giggle. We were in his room, cuddled up on his bed. A movie was showing for background noise only.

"What?! I'm serious, but I can't wait to hold Bella again. She's just too beautiful and I can't explain the feeling." I said playing with the ring he gave me. I thought of asking him about his parents but decided against it.

"Spill it." He said pulling my cap, I quickly held it tight on my head, slapping his hands away. He hasn't seen the length of my hair yet and has always tried to see it.

"Spill what?" I asked, looking as if nothing is bothering me.

"You want to ask about my parents, ask. What do you wanna know?" He said standing up. His sweatpants going down a little, I quickly averted my gaze, before my mind goes haywire.

"How did they die?" I asked slowly. He looked at me and I regretted asking. He looked pained and I hated seeing him like that.

"I was thirteen when it all happened. Being the only child and son, trust me when I say I was spoiled to the brim by my mom." He smiled and continued. "Well, too bad it was the cause of their death. As usual, I would always ask for anything and in less than a day, I would get it. Being a teenager then, all I knew was game and game. A new game came out and I wanted to be the first to get it as we turned getting games into competition in school. I asked my mom and she told me she would get it, that she was really busy. I went to my room and slammed the door. The next day at school, the mean bully got it first and flexed it in my face, I got angry and went home that day. After shouting at my mom I left the house in anger and my mom ran after me, let's not forget it was raining heavily." He stopped and took a deep breath, rubbing his eyes. I stood up and rubbed his back.

"You could stop -" He cut me off by shaking his head. He wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled me closer.

"She kept on calling my name to come back but I didn't listen, all of a sudden, I heard a loud thud. I looked back to see my mom on the floor, I ran back to her and held her. I saw blood gushing out from in between her legs and head, I was confused and scared. A car passed by and helped us to the hospital. I was scared to call my dad but had no option, and called him. Doctors were running helter skelter, which made me more scared.

My dad arrived in less than ten minutes and asked me questions. I couldnt answer anything and just kept on praying internally. The doctor came out and requested to see my dad. I begged them to let me know whats happening and I heard the worst news of my life." This time, tears were running down his cheeks, I couldn't help mine too. I rubbed his hands and he breathed out again.

"I can't forget what the doctor said. "I'm sorry, but we lost her. She left a gem behind and well do our very best to save her." That was exactly his words and I felt my world crumbling. As if that wasn't enough, my dad had an heart attack and died on the spot." The sob left my moth unknowingly and he hugged me tight. "I know I killed them and I'm sorry. I wish I wasn't a brat."He ended and I hugged him tight.

"No you didn't, it was just their time. I'm so sorry you had to go through all this." I was crying already and he just hugged me and  placed a lingering kiss in my forehead. The door opened and we looked up, it was Tope.

"Am I interrupting something?" She asked looked at my face.

"No." I crooked out.

"Yes." Tobi said and I looked at him confused. He closed his eye and I got the message. He didn't tell her the whole story yet so she wouldn't hate him.

"Huh.... I'll leave you guys to yourselves. Enjoy, but not too much." I looked at Tobi so to see that he was also looking at me. I smiled and brushed my thumbs against his lips. He claimed my lips immediately and kissed me, I kissed back, wrapping my hands around his neck, he raised me up supporting my butt with his hands.

The kiss became rough and heated as he roamed his hands all over my body. He broke the kiss and looked at me, I was panting heavily. I tried to pull him back but he stopped me.

"You're not ready and if we go more than this, I won't be able to control myself." He pecked my cheeks one last time before he stood up and placed another one on my forehead. "Besides, you have to get to work early tomorrow morning. If we get down to business, it won't be possible." I flushed at his choice of words and looked away. He just chuckled and sat down bringing out this laptop. We've never gone further than a make out session. After the first time I stopped him and told him I was still a virgin, he was really shocked and had made sure we waited.

"Stop looking at me like that and go to bed." He said and I shook my head no.

"I want you by my side." I patted the space beside me. He stood up and came closer, locking me in between his hands. I smiled and hugged him back. The last thing I heard before sleep took me away was.

My queen.

"You're late! It's 5am!" I heard Tobi shout. I shot up from the bed and looked at my phone, but it was off.

I ran to the bathroom and took my shower in a rush. I came out and he was nowhere to be found, I quickly dressed up and and picked my bag. I went out of the room and saw Tobi sitting down on the sofa, laptop in front of him. I checked the wall clock and saw it was just 2am. I looked at him, I was so angry.

"Tobi!" I screamed out his name, right beside his ear. He flinched, laughing hard. "It's fucking 2am!" I was pissed.

"Sorry, I couldnt sleep!" He was still chuckling and that made me angry. I stormed to the kitchen and took a bottled water. He walked in looking sorry.

"Hey baby!" He came closer and held me by my waist.

"Don't baby me!" I tried to push him away but he tightened his grip on my waist and leaked my cheek.

"You can't be angry at me." He used my own words against me. I laughed and turned around.

"It's not funny though, you told me to sleep only to come and disturb me." I played with his beard I had begged him so hard to grow.

"Sorry." He said.

We spoke till around 4am, when I finally got ready to go to work. He offered to drop me off, but I declined. I drove to the hospital and changed into my scrubs. I went straight to Fikayo's ward to Carry my sister first.

I had to rush this chapter because my phone is in 3%😭
