Chapter 18
The Seventh Sister's POV
As the Phantom exited hyperspace, I sat on the edge of my seat. In front of me was the Ghost. I took a deep breath as I steered my much smaller ship nearer to the larger one. I docked the Phantom in its usual spot on the ship and proceeded down the ship's hatch into the Ghost. Standing by the ladder I was descending was the entire crew, minus Ezra, of course.
I stood at the bottom of the ladder and faced the crew.
"Why are you here exactly?" Kanan asked coldly.
"I see you have not yet told them," I said to Sabine. I had told her why I was coming, and she was furious.
"I didn't think I should be the one to explain," Sabine explained.
"Explain what?" Hera asked.
"What exactly is going on here?" Kanan questioned.
"And where is Ezra?" Zeb asked.
"I understand you all have questions, but that is not important right now. What is important is that I need your help. And so does Ezra," I stated harshly, acting like I had as an inquisitor.
"What happened?" Hera asked, narrowing her eyes at me.
"Ezra has been captured by the Empire," I said calmly.
"Don't you work for the Empire? Why would you tell us this?" Kanan asked.
"She doesn't work for the Empire anymore, Kanan," Sabine explained. "She hasn't for over a year."
"And how would you know this? What if it is a trick?" Zeb accused.
"I do not work for the Empire anymore. I got out of that a long time ago. And now, I am being thrown back into it," I said.
"And how does Ezra fall into all of this?" Hera asked.
I sighed slowly before continuing. "When I left the Empire, Ezra was the one who got me out. We worked together to clear both of our names, because at the time, we were both thought traitors."
The crew glanced at each other with regret as they remembered the time that Sabine had accused Ezra of working for the Empire with fake evidence I had planted.
"As you know, we managed to clear Ezra's name, but not mine. I thought best to go into isolation rather than be hunted down by the Empire my entire life. So, I left. A year had passed, and nothing happened. But, dreams and visions shown to both Ezra and I showed we needed to work together again. When I had last come aboard this ship, we realized that, and agreed we needed to find out what these visions meant. Sabine had overheard us, and we were forced to tell her everything. Then, we had her cover for us, with much reluctance, I might add. For the past few days, Ezra and I have been tracking the visions, and they led us to Mirial. While there, we were planning to break into the planet's record's building, but it was a trap. Ezra was captured," I explained. As I told the story, everyone had frowns that only would get deeper as I went on. "As you can tell, I need your help to free Ezra so we can finish what we started."
"What exactly are these visions?" Karan questioned, his tone surprisingly even.
"Our visions showed us a red blade. We are hunting the red blade down. But, our journey brought us deeper than we had ever imagined," I commented.
"Another inquisitor?" Zeb groaned.
"This is not just any inquisitor. This inquisitor is a danger to the galaxy and has plans that Ezra and I are trying to figure out and stop. Whoever this red blade is, they have been playing with Ezra and I this whole time. It is always a step ahead of us," I stated grimly. "But that is not important. Will you help me save Ezra or not?"
"Why would we refuse? Ezra is apart of this crew. He is family," Hera explained.
"Then let's get going," I said.
